After picking up the car, multiple new issues appeared that were NOT present before, they completely messed up my car in my opinion. When I returned and asked them to look into it, instead of taking responsibility or checking their own work properly, the shop became defensive and blamed me for problems that clearly appeared right after they handled the vehicle. Later, they started making up lies and trying to blame things on the last mechanic who fixed my car. Typical deflection tactic. Throughout the process, the shop: * Installed parts incorrectly * Caused damage during their work * Denied responsibility * Provided contradictory explanations * Became confrontational instead of professional * Wrote false claims to cover themselves This shop took no accountability for issues clearly caused while the vehicle was in their care. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this shop for anyone who values honesty, proper workmanship, and professionalism.

I am always surprised by the number of new model and high priced luxury cars that are brought into the shop. When I bought my new used car a few years ago I brought it in for the once over and would only finalize the purchase after this shop said it looked good. Over 200k miles later, outside of minor things, I have only needed brakes and a starter over the years. More than a decade ago I had an estimate given for a repair from another shop for a drivetrain differential issue (big trouble and huge dollars). I was told by AAMCO that the issue required an entire new differential system ($2500)!! On a recommendation from a friend, I took the car to Hi Tech and the owner, Mr. Long Ho, after assessing the issue realized all that was needed was a shift solenoid which cost only $50.....installed!!! From that day on Long Ho is the only person to work on my vehicle. He does it all, even auto electric. He even allows you to bring in parts that you buy online or from an auto parts store like Advance Auto or Pep Boys. Because I like high performance ceramic brake pads and drilled rotors, I bring in my own brake components and he installs them no issue for the same fixed price. The shop is all by itself on the outskirts of what was once the glorious Landover Mall. The Mall was demolished about 10 years ago but Long Ho and his shop in the parking lot remained. It is on an island all by itself, but still thriving because he is honest and low priced. It is hard scrabble but do not let the looks deceive you. It you want the glitz and free coffee from dealerships, this is not the place for you. If you want an honest estimate of your car's issue at a low price, done in an efficient amount of time....this is the place. The waiting room is sparse and the restroom is super basic so plan on dropping off and not waiting there unless it is something minor that will take an hour or two. The words "honest mechanic" and "low price auto repair" are the most important words here. Disregard the hard scrabble, Spartan surroundings. Trust Long Ho, he and his crew are fair and honest and those words are worthy of five stars.

The gentleman running the front desk was professionally charismatic and knowledgeable. Without an appointment, he took me right away, within 5 minutes. He put one of his mechanics on it and within another 10 minutes, they found the nail and patched it up. 20 minutes later, I was back on road, after paying the $20 fee, heading to work. I know at other places, it would have taken "all-day" to be seen without an appointment. I really appreciated their care and timely response, and costs I paid for the service. When I get there Steven tells me they still don't know why the car is misfiring or the check engine light is blinking. I had my car TOWED in at 163,538 miles(as pictured in video), when I got the car back 12/18 it was 163,615(as pictured) with NO GAS IN THE CAR & that is 77 MILES OVER. I understand that a mechanic had to drive the car around to figure out what's going on but 77 MILES IS COMPLETELY INSANE & UNACCEPTABLE!!! At this point I'm starting to think these are a bunch of basement mechanics they are only good for oil changes, brakes & rotors (the basic stuff) that's just driving people vehicles around & not really fixing anything.
