Accordingly, I gave A Plus Appliance detailed info about the problem with parts but they assured me they had access to the parts needed before I paid them $189 to come diagnose the oven. Long story short, they said they had the parts and quoted me $1200. I called them several times to confirm they had the parts and breakdown the parts Vs labor. After a few calls, they told me they didn't have the parts after all. I complained and they said the owner would call, the manager did. After trying to say I must have called the wrong company and that's why I didn't get a call back (whatever that's not the point anyway), the manager now said they did have the parts but couldn't warrant them and didn't recommend doing the repair. What a waste of my time and $189!

I messed up a 1966 Kenmore 158.523, and they were able to repair it within a couple of weeks and for a very reasonable cost. When I bought a "new" Kenmore 148.15600 (circa 1976-78) from Shop Goodwill and it was locked up, these geniuses got it sewing perfectly for me, again without over charging me. They don't just know how to repair modern sewing machines; they can repair even the old ones I collect. Each time I've been there, not only have I been attended to immediately, I've been able to watch the sales team work with customers while I wait for different things, and they seem really concerned about allowing the customers to test the machines and ask as many questions as they want. I'm not likely to want a sewing machine manufactured in the 21st century, but if I were interested in one, this is the place I'd go to.
