I shopped a bunch of dealerships. I had 2 trade in that I wanted to trade in on a 2017 Explorer Sport. Other dealers would not sell the Explorer as cheap as Banner or give me what I felt my trade ins were worth. Banner's price was so low compared to other dealers that they probably lost money on this transaction. Robinson Brothers had some Explorer Sports in stock but didn't even contact them since their General Manger called me several bad names when I was shopping for a 17 Fusion Sport earlier this year. read more

Horrible service. I went there for my first oil change and they charged my 48.10 for the service! Now that being said, my truck is brand new but because I didn't buy it from banner I was charge unwilling. I was never told about the charges nor mentioned until the service was complete. Very very shady. I would rather go to Bill Hood and drive the extra miles than to go back to Banner. read more

Consistently great service experience. Comfortable waiting area (coffee, high def TV, free wifi). Speedy service at reasonable prices ("The Works" service package including tire rotation and multipoint service inspection) with no hard sell on extra services. For example, service advisor mentioned declining treadwear on my tires but agreed I still had enough treadwear on them without trying to sell me tires prematurely. They also detected and fixed a Ford recall on my car during the same visit. Banner Ford gets five star ratings due to their consistency in customer service excellence after the sale. read more

I have only purchases 4 automobiles in my lifetime so it is a well contemplated decision and the result of that decision stays with me for a long time. My last purchase was in 1997. Gerard Naquin at Banner Ford made my purchasing experience of a new F150 so pressure free with his slogan "the only pressure around here is in the tires".... is so hysterical. Everyone there was very nice and I really enjoyed my car buying experience. They will help you find what you want and then will educate you on all of the new technology and safety features. I like that they don't try to sell you on cars that you can't afford. You tell them what you need and they will work within your means to sell you a car that makes you happy. The staff was cheerful and friendly and very patient with my husband and myself. There is also a children's room with iPads to keep them entertained while you are filling out paperwork. Don't ever take a diesel there they have 1 so called diesel tech who has no clue of what he is doing. Took my truck there 4 times for same issue and paid quite a bit, still not fixed finally found that it was the DEF pump at a independent with a real diesel mechanic the so called diesel tech at Banner should have known about a very well documented issue with the DEF pump / heater cut my losses at $1200 for nothing but doing without it 4 seperate times. will never go back!! Also dishonest have heard of many similar stories, horse community is small. read more

My husband and I just recently traded one of our vehicles and purchased a newer used vehicle from Mr. Bill Chaucer at Banner Ford. I am giving them fours stars just because of our wait on getting the overall financing done. I know from our wait that they were down to just one finance person, and I understand sometimes things like that can't be helped. I will state that the overall experience of trading in and buying another vehicle was excellent. Mr. Bill was extremely friendly and wonderful to work with. No pressure on sales, pricing was fair on the newer vehicle, and the trade-in pricing was more than fair. I would definitely return and buy another vehicle especially from Mr. Bill! read more

They also picked me up and because the part did not arrive, they quickly put me in a loaner car so I could get home and it was fixed the next afternoon. Have had service work done here several times in the past and on those visits would have to say I was not impressed but they were not bad either. Purchased a new vehicle here in 2010 and had an issue that required seven (7) visits to finally repair. You read it right seven (7) visits. Was not until I started persuing resolution under Louisiana lemon law that they fixed the problem. Gave two stars instead of one because it was as much a Ford issue as a Banner one but Banner did nothing to help. read more

The internet sales guy Chris ( I think) will call you acting all interested in selling to you. He even told me he wanted me to come in the next 2 days to make the deal before the end of the month to get all the special deals. He will then not return emails or calls when he says he will. I was looking at a car and was told I wouldn't be able to get that bc of my trade in but one was coming in tomorrow and he would call me once it got there. Magically the one I wanted was taking off the site. I never got a follow up call about the "other car". That is horrible for business. Even if I can't get the car I want, a phone call would be nice especially when I was told I would get a call. Just tell me the deal isn't possible. They just lost 2 potential customers. I know the car I was looking at was not very expensive and my trade in would be upside down ( all of this was explained first of bc I thought it would be impossible to do and I told him I was no longer looking to buy) but 2 ppl with great credit and good jobs we could have eventually done a lot of business here. I will refuse to do any business here now. Update*****He just called me a day later than he was supposed to telling me he ran my credit in the other car and I could get it. I never even got the call I was supposed to get about how much the car was, miles, or even pictures and he went ahead and ran my credit on it!!! So a credit inquiry will go on my credit report for a car I know nothing about! Furious. read more

This review is going to be a bit long because this has been going on for 8 days now. On Saturday December 22, 2018 I went with my son, Kyle, to the Banner Ford dealership in Mandeville to look at and possibly purchase a new truck. The sales desk called one of the salesmen to come talk to us. We went into his cubicle and he looked up some trucks and talked to my son about what he wanted. They decided on one to test drive and had it brought around. The salesman, Rich, was busy with another customer so he had my son and I take it for a test drive. Kyle was happy with the truck and wanted to go ahead with the purchase. When Rich got back to us, they started checking for available financing. The first numbers Rich brought to us used Ford financing with an interest rate a little over 1 %. A few minutes later he came back and told us that unfortunately Kyle had just started building his credit in the last year and his number was not high enough so he did not qualify for Ford financing. Rich then asked me if I would consider co-signing. I said, "I could and he would pass but I choose not to. I think he can do it on his own." Rich went to talk to the sales desk and came back with another offer. The interest rate jumped from a little over 1 percent to a little over 10 percent. That was fine, just facts of life, as it could be remedied in time by refinancing when Kyle's credit had been built up some more. The cash for the deposit was still at our home as he was not sure that he was going to complete a purchase. I left to go get the deposit while Kyle waited to sign papers with the finance department. When I returned, they called Kyle in and started going over all the finance details. We added an extended warranty and gap insurance. At one point in the discussion the gentleman stated something about Kyle losing a five hundred dollar discount off of the advertised discounts of the truck. I asked why and was told that it was because he did not qualify for the ford financing. Rich never mentioned losing this discount when he brought the new financing package to us for approval. When the papers were all signed and the gentleman in the finance department was putting the signed paperwork together, I asked if they were all finished and was told yes, just putting the papers together and waiting for the truck to be turned over to Kyle from being detailed. I left to go run the errands I started out to do that morning. We arrived at the dealership at approximately 10:30 am, by now it is after 2 pm. I get a call from Kyle about 15 minutes later. He tells me that when he came out of the finance office signing papers, Rich came to him to tell him the he had hit a guard rail with the truck when he was bringing it around to get it detailed. Rich told him that he just "dinged" the bumper, not to worry about it, Rich had already talked to his manager so Kyle could just bring it back after Christmas and they would put it in the body shop and fix the bumper. Kyle, having no experience in dealing with this, accepted the truck and left. I met up with him to look at the bumper. The bumper was not "dinged", the bumper was dented. It was concave the length of my hand with gouges, not scratches in the paint. The side of the bumper was pushed in under the fender about an inch. I was quite upset. I called and spoke to Rich and told him that they had dropped the value of the truck. I stated that it was more than just "dinged" and I had no idea if there was damage to anything else behind the bumper. I wanted them to replace the truck with a new one. Rich talked and talked about the fact that they were going to fix it and it would be good as new. I explained that after Christmas Kyle would have to be back in Shreveport for work so it would be me that would have to take the time to deal with this. I finally just said we would talk after Christmas and left it for the moment. That night it hit me that Rich had wrecked that truck before Kyle signed the papers and he did Not tell him about it until after he signed them. I find that to be extremely unprofessional at the least. A friend told me that I would need a Power of Attorney to speak for Kyle in order to deal with the dealership so we went and had that paper drawn up. December 26th I went to work expecting a call about how the dealership is going to remedy this. At lunchtime I call Rich to find out what is going on. He tells me that I was supposed to call him, they weren't supposed to call me. The conversation went rather downhill from there. I stated that since they had caused all this inconvenience maybe they could offer Kyle something for it, perhaps a bed liner or a maintenance package. He told me he would check into it. That didn't happen. The end result of the call was that I was supposed to bring the truck to the dealership on the morning of the 27th and they would take it to the body shop. The more I considered this, the more uncomfortable with it I was. (Won't let me post the rest) read more

I took my car in to have the leaking water pump repaired, they repaired it under the extended warranty. Two days later, the car wasn't running correctly so we went back; the service agent said the variable engine timing solenoid needed to be replaced and that "it looks like water leaking from the water pump probably damaged it." Banner charged me a second deductible ($100) for the repair. We asked if it was damaged by the water pump wasn't that the same issue and shouldn't we get the deductible back? And then the fight began.....Banner said it was denied by Ford Extended Warranty (ESP), ESP said the repairs were below the dealer's threshold of calling for authorization. I wonder who is lying...I'm guessing the guys who stand to make $100 easy bucks. I feel like Banner stole $100 from us after making over $3000 in repairs from ESP. I'm completely fed up with Banner and will never return. If that $100 means so much to them, let them have it, but I'm done with that ripoff joint. They charge $100 even if their incompetent mechanics can't duplicate your issue, never heard of a reputable shop that charged you money for doing nothing other than getting greasy footprints on your floorboards. My advice: take your car to a reputable dealership, not Banner. read more
