I went here and the wait was a bit long, however the staff was amazing. The receptionist was very pleasant and was willing to answer any questions. The nurse apologized and said she was working solo due to a nurse that quit. She was friendly and was so thankful for our patience. They were just recently bought out by Banner and seem to be going through growing pains. I visited late about an hour before closing and Dr Randall was patient and did not rush me. He made me feel like my care was important. Their printer was down and he stayed late to hand write my prescriptions. I would definitely visit this urgent care in the future. read more

Strongly recommend against banner urgent care. Came in for for flu-like symptoms. The PA/NP that I saw spent 30 seconds examining me and proceeded to tell me I that I had a cold and that Flonase would cure it. This despite me already using Flonase daily for allergies. Then unsolicited she spent the next 60 seconds telling me how to use Flonase. The entire time in the NP/PA kept swaying and leaning up against the counter in the room. I have zero confidence that she knew anything that she was talking about and it felt like I was speaking to a nursing student. Will not be returning to any Banner anything ever again. Also received a surprise bill after my copay, My visit does not justify the billing code they used. I filled out the survey Banner sent me with my concerns and experience and asked to be contacted but that was two weeks ago and have not heard from anyone. I have been to this Urgent Care a few times since we moved to Gilbert and I really like it. The lobby is bright and clean and set up well with chairs and a television to keep my son entertained while I'm filling out paperwork. The only concern that I have experienced is, the reception desk staff has never been warm or inviting. It seems like all business for them and I almost feel like I'm bothering them. It's not that they've ever been mean, they're just not friendly. Beyond that, I have always been taken back to the examination rooms quickly. The rooms are good sized and well maintained. The nurses and doctors have always been friendly and attentive. I have gone in once for myself and once for my 18 month old son and both experiences were great. This place is a JOKE and they don't deserve a 10th of a star! Went for a school sports physical for my daughter. I researched THEIR website prior to going in. Their website clearly says the physical for school sports is an "affordable physical" at $25.00. It does not state anywhere that a coupon is needed or its any kind of special or discounted rate. The moment we walked in and I told the incompetent receptionist that we were there for a sport physical she immediately said its $50.00. I looked at her and said that isn't what YOUR website says and she asked me if I printed the coupon...again their site says nothing to the effect because had it said that I would've looked for the said coupon and printed it! Next after doing their paper work I turned it in along with the paperwork I had to print through the schools website linking to registermyathlete.com. We waited...next she tells me the packet was 'missing' documents. I stood up, pulled up the website to show her that what I printed matches exactly what I gave them but she continued to tell me that I'm wrong. Okay little girl...so I asked her if they offer sports physical paperwork or can they offer me 'what's missing'? She told me no but that she would check with the Doctor...a few minutes later the medical assistant came out to tell me the paperwork is wrong and there's nothing they could do to accommodate me. I told them that since I've showed them what was on the site could it be that they only require what was in their package online and it may be 'incomplete' to them but it satisfies the schools requirement since that is where I obtained the packet. She said "ma'am it's incomplete and if you send it in then you're sending in an incomplete packet" (thanks for being condescending). So here's my take on the deal regardless of the packet being incomplete or not...1. Their customer service is HORRIBLE 2. Don't look for ways to say no, try and be helpful to find a solution 3. Don't lie about prices because that is a total bait and switch (another person came in and left when the receptionist told them it's $50.00) 4. Being argumentative is extremely unprofessional and to have that type of conversation out in the open for the other patients to hear is degrading and embarrassing 5. If you don't have a Dr. on staff then you should've said that to begin with because I believe that is what happened! It was easier to try and make an ass out of me instead of saying there's no one on staff that can legally complete the paperwork. We will NEVER walk in that establishment again and as a matter of fact we will never use any urgent care brand either! If you offer a service at a certain price then honor it and have competent staff that will help solution not be part of the problem! We can afford the $50...that isn't the point! This is the 2nd time I've been in this location. We got here at 9:00ish, got called back for vitals, etc at 9:45. Went into back room to wait for a doc and it's been over an hour at this point. The PA named David was one of the best Physicians I have gotten at an urgent care. He really showed that he cared and listened to me like no other physician has. When I go into urgent cares I usually feel rushed therefore I forget to tell them about some symptoms I have. He did not make me feel that way, he made me feel very comfortable and walking out of there I really felt like I got the care I needed and started feeling much better later that day. I checked in online and it appeared as though they skipped around on the list because I waited an extra 30 mins and they called someone back who was lower on the list than me. I understand that it's only an approximate wait time and the person who got taken back before me was a kid so maybe that was the reason as well which I find totally fair. Thank you hopefully I won't have to return soon but if I do I feel comfortable knowing they hire great employees here. I forgot to mention. He saw my work uniform and understood what I do for a living and reassured me I'll be able to work but he gave me tips on how to manage my day at work with the symptoms I was having. My wait time was pretty normal for a Sunday, about 20-30 minutes. When I walked in, the front desk made it seem like a bother I was there, and the door to the waiting room slams anytime someone opens it. Once I was brought back and checked out, the experience turned around. The nurse/xray tech was very nice and talkative, she did not seem like she was just going through the motions. One thing I have noticed about this company as a whole, they say they have doctors, but I have never once been seen by an actual doctor. Not that it matters to me, PA or nurse practitioner can handle it in my opinion, but for those that are not okay with that, you should probably go elsewhere. read more

My 5 month old baby boy had a fever for a few days of 101 so I decided to take him to our neiborhood urgent care on highly an ray. The staff is aways very friendly. After seeing the doctor she can't find the problem to the fever so she recommended that they do a urine test. Unfortunately they didn't have the bags so the doctor called this location. The doctor apologized and said she would fax over everything to Higley and Williamsfield urgent care . When I arrived I told the guy in the front that they were expecting my baby boy to do a urine test. The guy looked at me puzzled and had no idea what I was talking about. He then phoned in some large guy nurse in the back that said here is the bags, take them home were closing in 15 minutes. I quickly disagreed and told him I don't know how to put the bag on, and the doctor at the other location told me you guys would take care of everything. To kinda some it up they didn't want us there because they were closing. My son ending up peeing in the bag after 10 min of it on. They had improperly placed the bag on him so it got everywhere including on me the table the ground . We sat there for 30 minutes waiting for the doctor to come in, he said he seemed normal. They told me just to wait out the fever. After the doctor left we waited another 25 minutes just to get the release papers!! Wow these people really don't care. There are so many details I left out just, honestly just don't go to this location it's terrible. read more

I started going to this Urgent Care location, because it's never as busy as all the other once and I absolutely love it there. The staff is so nice and friendly even the doctors. So far with an online appointment I am in and out within 40 minutes and I have been helped and know what's going on with me or my child. read more

I went to Banner Urgent for a Face X-Ray, after my slip and fall. The X-Ray showed that I broke my nose, which was still bleeding. All I can really say is that I received excellent care. From the Office Representative, Rosaura, to Christina C. the X-Ray Technician, to Mary Ziefel, the Provider. They were all amazing. I went back a few days later for a different matter. Went in to this clinic after being sick for quite awhile. Paid the required co-pay, saw a dr, and I was told three prescriptions were being called in to my pharmacy and to give them 30-45 min. I waited, went to pharmacy, no prescription available. I was running a high fever, just went home to sleep as I was too tired and too sick to wait any longer. Called this morning to be told the prescriptions were never ordered, they weren't in my notes and there was no way to locate the dr I saw yesterday. But I could certainly come back in (still sick and wiped out) spend another $$$ on a copay and maybe get my prescriptions. That will be my last visit. read more

Do not go here!! I came in with a bruised ankle and they made me go get an ultrasound on it to check for blood clots, and that was negative. Then, they told me to go get antibiotics. That was ineffective. And to mention they maybe looked at my ankle for 30 seconds. Poor service. read more

Finally I called, asked if they were busy, of course she replied no. After firmly informing her how ludicrous it was for them to be waiting that long, were they FINALLY seen within 5mins. Seriously! I've been in and out of Diginity Health's ER in less time than that, absolute bullshit! I'm a very understanding person, this is more than one person being lazy. It's multiple people not caring! The beside manner of your doctor is absolutely terrible and to heard them talking about my wife is absolutely not ok and could and should be examined. I injured myself pretty badly falling down a steep hill at Discovery Park. I landed right on my lower back and it was very painful. By end of day I wanted to get an X-ray and some pain killers. I called several urgent care centers but none were available after 5:45pm. A friend suggested this place. They accepted walk ins and my insurance, Blue Medicare Advantage. Because of covid you're required to wear a mask when you enter. NBD. within ten minutes a nurse interviewed me and too my BP. Then Dr Scholzen examined me. No broken bones and he reassured me that it was unlikely I did any serious damage. Thank god. He prescribed some naproxen and off I went. I felt very well taken care of. Just visited this location earlier today and was seen by Eric Wurtz- PA. Eric was extremely rude, demeaning, unprofessional, and unhelpful. I have been sick for 7 days with a sore throat, congestion, headache and cough, all which have progressively gotten worse. After spending less than 3 minutes listening to my symptoms, looking at my throat, nose and ears, he told me I seemed "perfectly healthy". When I asked to be swabbed for strep, he laughed and denied me. Eric told me he could tell just by looking at me that I didn't have strep throat. Not only was the service terrible but after sharing this negative experience with a family member who's a nurse practitioner, they said that I was given poor medical advice. A waste of my time and money. My family and I will never use Banner Urgent care services again. read more

I rarely write a review unless I had a stellar experience at an establishment or just the opposite. Given my one star rating, it was the latter. The wait time was as expected on a Sunday. Jan 25th at 8:30 am. It was roughly 30 minutes before I was taken back. I can deal with that. I went in there with the most severe lower back pain I've ever experienced likely due to changing the brakes on my car and improperly lifting the tires on and off the vehicle. I mean the pain was enough to make me cry. So when the DO/PAC/Dr/whatever she was came in, she literally spent 3 minutes asking me about what happened and then said, "We'll give you a prescription for pain meds and a shot in your butt for the inflammation." She didn't ask me to bend over or move in any way to asses my ability to move or get a real idea of the true extent of my pain. I couldn't even sit down. She had such a horrible, non-professional manner about her that I would have left had my back not been in so much pain. When I asked if there was anything more immediate to relieve the pain, she literally said, "absolutely not, we don't give pain medications unless the pain is very severe." I almost lost it at that point. I was so close to slapping her and asking her how the hell she knew how much pain I was in but I let it go. It wasn't until I practically threatened to call the AZ Board of Medicine that she conveniently told me she could give me a shot of pain medication. I was so irate that this wasn't her first choice after seeing a patient in this much pain that I will never go back there for as long as I live, which is unfortunate since I live 4 blocks away but with treatment like this I'd probably be better finding a neighbor with some vicodin or something to feel better than to put up with a Dr. with an attitude like that. My recommendation, stay away and look for another Urgent Care. read more

Front office lady was very nice as well as the medical assistant on staff. Took my 4 year old in to the Physician Assistant after multiple days of high fevers. She was extremely quick to assess and told us he had bilateral ear infections and congested lungs. She then sent us home with a 10 day dose of Cefdinir. I didn't feel that her diagnosis was correct so I went and saw the Pediatrician the following morning who confirmed my thoughts " Ears looked perfect " and "Lungs were clear ". She stated adenovirus was going around and the symptoms he was having were more than likely from it. She also stated to call the pharmacy and NOT pick up the antibiotic from the previous night. read more

I visited this particular location because of the reviews I read online in which everyone seemed pleased. The clerk at the front desk was prompt and friendly; likewise, the wait time was extremely short. I was assisted by Stephanie and Vanessa; both of them were extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and made me feel comfortable. I did not feel rushed and both ladies answered all of my questions. I have never experienced such great and caring staff before. Though this location is a further drive than many others, I will continue to visit here because I actually felt taken care of. read more

But I was there for over three hours so it was a rough experience being there for that long. My Doctor, was very knowledgeable but there needs to be more than just one Doctor. read more

I went in with glass in my foot. The doctor rooted around in my foot with a scissor. He told me he got it out. I told him I could feel something hard against the forceps. He insisted he got it out. The next morning after the lidocaine had worn off, I realized there was still glass in my foot, very painful to walk. I went to a different urgent care. The doctor there could see it with her naked eye and had it out within the first 30 seconds. It was a huge chunk of glass. Stay away. read more

I took my wife here after she cut off a fleshy portion of her finger at work (she's a hair stylist) and it would not stop bleeding after about 4 hours. The medical assistant must have been new because when she took her blood-pressure she didn't even release the air from the cuff and then did all at once and said looks good, really low. Then she just wrote down 120/80. Then the PA that we saw must have just graduated and did not seem confident about what she was doing. She said the they were just going to put a compression bandage on it and that it would eventually heal. $250 down the drain there. We left there and immediately went to the Dignity Health urgent care where they are actually competent. The first doctor there wasn't sure he even wanted to touch it and considered referring her to a hand specialist. The second doc there felt like she could stitch it up pretty well, so that's what we decided to do. I do not recommend going to this facility. It is apparent that they are expanding rapidly and using inexperienced cheap labor to fill their staffing needs. read more

Banner Urgent Cares require a $75 deposit to be seen regardless of the insurance you have. I have good insurance with a $10 visit charge and my deductible has been met so I'd have to over pay $65 to be seen, wait for the bill to go through insurance, then request a refund. This could be a long process where Banner is hanging onto my money. I just wanted my sick son treated, I did not want to sign up for a relationship with Banner billing that would last longer than a Kardashian marriage. I took him to Good Night Pediatrics where he was seen promptly by a pediatrician and the front office verified our insurance and only requested the $10 copay. I don't understand why Banner doesn't verify insurance to avoid potentially creating a hardship for their patients. Our family won't be going there anymore. read more
