If I can rate it a 0 star I would. I went in a couple days ago for my daughter's bleeding lip and wanted to get her checked to see if she spilt her lip open. Do not go here unless you want to die! There are no hours on the door yet I was told there were and that they close at 8 PM when on Google and yelp They say that they're open until 9 PM. I went in at 8:23 having an asthma attack and they turned me away and said the best that they could do is call 911. I could not imagine working at an urgent care as a doctor and seeing a patient come in having respiratory distress and refusing them a breathing treatment that takes 15 minutes absolutely unacceptable and I do not recommend going here ever. I loved my experience at the Banner Urgent Care on Guadalupe and Dobson. Everyone was so friendly to me, especially my Dr., Abby, and the triage nurse, Angela. They were wonderful!!!! I'd give negative stars if I could. Went here and waited past 8:00 to try to be seen. When the woman finally opened the door she said she couldn't let me in. When I asked why she said there were no providers on site and didn't know when or if any would show up and locked the door. ???? They should change their sign to "Maybe Care" or "We Don't Care". I had absolutely the worst experience today at Banner! My girlfriend couldn't even breathe and was showing clear signs of shortness of breath and chest tightness and they were just going to discharge us and let us home. I had to ask the doctor if we could please get a breathing treatment or something because what??!! She also told us we would get an inhaler prescribed, there was no inhaler on our med list and I had to call again once we were home to get this added. We recently went to a diff urgent care a few days before for this issue and it got worse so that's why we came in, they never asked us about what meds we had been prescribed on the past visit and on top of that the doctor actually prescribed my girlfriend the same med she already had!??? We told her when she was trying to discharge us what meds we had already been on and she was like oh I just was just going to give you the same med. I 100% would not recommend going back to this urgent care I would have rather spent money on an emergency room visit then go here. read more

I was sent here from another urgent care facility nearby because, for some reason, they couldn't accommodate my need. The check in process was much smoother and quicker. The staff was friendlier, they took the time to make an assessment and even offered X-rays after determining they weren't really needed - out of precaution. There were no clients in the waiting area, and not to mention that my injury was a minor cut on my finger, and just needed to be disinfected and bandaged. Less than 20 minutes. The thing about an urgent care is they are not your doctor nor should they be and if you are having a serious medical condition then definitely go to a hospital. That being said, I get sinus infections. Urgent care is pretty good for that sort of thing. This location used to be a Blockbuster in a past life. Now it is a newer and fairly spacious Urgent Care Extra. The "extra" part probably comes from the fact they are able to do x-rays here and offer to fill your prescriptions in house too. Typically I've gone mid-morning and the wait has never been too long. Never quick but then again I don't take the "urgent" part of urgent care that literal. Both times they have had family friendly shows playing on the tv in the waiting room. I've sadly now seen more than my fair share of Fuller House (oddly could not look away) and Goosebumps (tv series not the new movie). The place seems clean but I did happen to notice what appeared to be blood on the floor in the waiting area. Not sure how long it had been there or if anyone even knew it was there. Possibly a little more attention could be put into keeping the waiting area wiped down in general. They were not busy so it seems not like too much of a request. read more

This place is a joke! These doctors should have there licenses revoked! They literally don't care about patients! My wife busted her head on the asphalt from an electric scooter accident. And they dismissed her basketball shaped head saying all she needs is 200mil more ibuprofen of in store pain meds?!? They didn't even get her pain meds!! I woke up every night watching my wife in pain and was absolutely disgusted that these doctors cared less for her health. I will never go to urgent care again. Banner im super disappointed in you. Your hospitals have a very much bigger standard but your urgent care Clinic is treating patients like garbage!! My wife was seen by a regular doctor which jumped on pain meds and every thing she needed instead of just putting a bandage on it. Do not go to urgent care! They dismiss your injuries and just tell you to either see how it goes or go to ER. Urgent care means I need your assistance before ER! Go above and beyond how hard is that?! My regular doctor said she probably has a cracked skull and need therapy on her shoulders. Urgent says "keep and eye out, here some better ibuprofen and a shot that lasts for less than 12 hours good luck" What is wrong with our medical system?!? What if my wife needed emergency care?!? I cannot trust the system anymore. Doctors don't care!!! They want to have you in and out and bill your insurance as much as possible. I work at a doctors office that is open until 8 and we take patients until 7:59. This is just lazy. Staff was friendly and professional. They fixed me up really well, got to me almost immediately, and I was home relatively fast.

My wife and I dropped in about 11:45 AM on the Friday after Thanksgiving Day!  We had checked another 3 clinics prior to this, all closed for the holiday.  It appeared relatively quiet and we were told we could be seen in a couple of hours.  I said "good, we will be back then".  I was told that to be seen we would have to stay there!  We waited close to 3 hours before they took us back.  We persevered because we had come down with a cough and chills and a mild fever a couple of days prior and wanted Covid 19 screening. The waiting room was very big and chairs were scattered safely throughout.   The receptionist was pleasant and patient and started our paperwork.  When completed we just sat and sat for 2 1/2 hours.  The room seemed to get colder and colder.  We were then ushered into the back and a technician took our vitals and history.  He read from his computer, our individual histories and medications!!!  I was surprised how much correct info he had on us!  No doctor was involved, but the female Patient Assistant was kind, thorough and knowledgeable!  She ran a nasal swab test for Covid and informed us of how we would get the results the next day by telephone or online. I now understood why we waited so long to be seen.  Thorough exam usual B/P, finger clip that showed our blood oxygen levels, listened to our chests, peeked into our mouths and eyes and ears all takes a bit of time. We have nothing to complain about other than the time spent.  I would give them five stars for the nice job they did! I wll return when needed!!!! read more

there is a very good reason that Banner urgent care garners very poor ratings. The quality of service and level of knowledge their PAs, Nurse practitioners and doctors possess is egregious. I took my mother there who had a positive covid test and was experiencing the common symptoms...she is 85. The NP who we met with knew almost nothing about it, didn't know what the benefit/risk of treatments were, due to a deep misunderstanding of the scientific data. I explained her deficiency to her but she didn't seem to fully understand what I was telling her. She made direct false statements one of which was that the FDA approved medication for Covid was not approved by the FDA. That was shockingly uninformed. I asked here a particular statistic based on a claim about "rebound" effect from the treatment and she misrepresented what was actually in the scientific literature abotu that. And on top of that...she didn't actually know what the "rebound" effect even was but that didn't stop her from using the term. The medical notes she entered were erroneous on multiple points, and the discharge instructions were outdated and therefore contained at least two major factual errors. i contacted banner about this but they didn't seem to be very interested in the mistakes, erroneous literature given to patients or practitioners who have less knowledge of illnesses than their patients. The medical Board in AZ has little interest in such matters and people need to realize that is one reason this incompetency in rampant...there is no accountability. One might think that my description of the incompetence is an exaggeration, except that as always i record all interactions with medical service providers, so this review is a matter of record. read more

Yesterday was the 2nd time I needed to use this Banner Urgent Care location for a personal injury. The 1st time was for a fall which required knee x-rays and wrapping of a severely sprained ankle and knee. Yesterday I gouged a chunk out of my thumb with a mandolin and it required cauterizing the wound. In both cases I was seen very quickly, the doctors were helpful, knowledgeable and very kind. Each nurse I worked with was also fantastic. In particular whoever has worked the front desk when I arrive is always helpful and friendly and starts the process off right. There was at least a year difference between these 2 visits and yet I received the same excellent care both times with little or no waiting. That cannot be an accident and belies some of the other reviews I have seen. I highly recommend this location of Banner Urgent Care. I would return again, although I hope I don't have to anytime soon! read more

K9 cop (and dog) behind the counter staring straight ahead like a very serious soldier. And we were in a very good neighborhood down the street from where I live. Left a sample. Receptionist asked me to do a telehealth appt while in the back room already to save them "time". Saw PA or whatever she was over a monitor in exam room. She gave me an Rx for UTI antibiotic for only 3 days. I told her I've had symptoms that kept worsening over the past few weeks. She said the antibiotic, Cipro, causes TENDON RUPTURE and that could happen to my Achilles tendon???? So only 3 days. I walk out to leave and the PA I spoke to over Tele is standing in person right in front of me. Eye contact was awkward. For her! Prior to tele, I also said I have other symptoms similar to covid and they said I would have to pay out of pocket to ASK PA about it, much less test for it. Or I could come back for another visit on a diff day. Need I say more about this visit yesterday? Waste of my time. Note to self: Honor Health or Fast Med if I need to go again. Back in 2020, I went to BUC for a digestive issue. The doc (nice guy) had a 30 second conversation with me, discovering that it had been 4-5 days since my last bowel movement. He said that he was referring me to Banner Hospital immediately for tests due to that time period between BMs, and that there would be no charge for the (again, 30 second) visit to BUC. Well, two years later and numerous conversations with the minions at BUC (phone and chat) I'm getting dunned by a collection agency for the $200+ "I owe". This was a cut-and-dry, simple issue that should have been resolved literally years ago, but apparently BUC has no working common sense in their billing / finance department, as as such, I'd have to recommend avoiding them so you don't go through the same nonsense I have. read more

Waited for 1 min in the waiting room then saw a nurse for my vitals. I waiting another 45 min and then the Doctor came in to see me and she was quick informational and very nice to me. I came in with my mom and baby sister. We all need to get checked for something each. So we walk in (no one's there) put our names on the list and she tells us we're good and we have a 2 hour wait. So we said "ok" and because we were all hungry we asked the lady at the front desk if we could go get food real quick and she said yes as long as we're back by 1pm. Which was our appointment times and we made sure to tell her yes we would. So we drove back to the urgent care and we had got there 15 MINUTES BEFORE 1pm. And we go to check in to found out that we were pulled off the list to be seen without being informed what so ever, she tells us we needed to sit in the lobby for "no less" than 2 hours she had demanded to wait in the lobby where she can see us before being seen by a doctor. Service and staff are very good and friendly but the wait times can be fairly excessive for how many people are actually waiting to be seen. Sometimes if 1 or 2 people are in the waiting room the wait is 10-15 minutes, totally acceptable and even really good...and then other times there will be just 1 or 2 people and the wait ends up being like an hour or more. Doesn't really make sense though honestly it's kind of just how all urgent cares tend to be - many even worse about it. Anyway, this is a pretty good urgent care in my experience now having returned a lot of times as well as trying almost all the other ones in the area all the way into Gilbert and southern areas of Chandler. Obviously they shouldn't replace your primary doctor but in cases you need an urgent care this is a good place to go. I've seen 3 different PAs here and all were kind, caring, and were able to help me adequately. read more

They sent us to this adult site to get an x-ray for our 3-year-old. I was nervous. But, they were waiting for us when we got there because the other site called ahead, and Dr. Timmons was fantastic with our son. He immediately made our son feel comfortable. They refused to help my niece who had a bead in her nose last time, and the doc at the ER said our trip was unnecessary because any urgent care should be able to assist with this type of minor issue (it was shallow). They jerked my sister around who had a broken knee. They let her pay before telling her that the XRay tech had left early--prior to her checking in. So if something is urgent, don't go here. If there's something irritating you and you have no copay and you are masochistic or hate resolving issues or getting answers or you love yelling at people or you find great satisfaction in people passing the buck. I went in for a seemingly simple visit. I ended up being misdiagnosed and put on the wrong medication. The person who was treating me actually asked me, "Do you think you need antibiotics?"
