Visiting Scottsdale and became sick. After a few days gave in. I could not find any urgent cares with good reviews, so chose the closest one to us. I don't like going to the doctor, but this place was great. The front desk and the nurse checking me in were all nice and professional. Then I was able to see Kristen as my NP. Absolutely disappointed and frustrated with this urgent care. My college aged daughter went in feeling very sick and was seen by a female doctor who, unfortunately, seemed completely dismissive of how unwell she truly was. She was prescribed a low-dose antibiotic for just five days which did nothing to help her. She followed the doctor's instructions exactly, paid $75 out of pocket (plus the cost of meds), which is a lot for a student only to end up even sicker a week later. When she saw a new doctor elsewhere, they were surprised and questioned the choice of medication that was initially prescribed. Now she's been sick for over a month, has paid for two co-pays, and has been through multiple prescriptions. It's unacceptable that she wasn't listened to or treated seriously. I would strongly recommend avoiding this place. They failed her, and it's cost her both time and money not to mention her health. read more

To continue with my review from yesterday. I did not hear back from Manager Paula or anyone else, which is unethical to not call patient back. Went to ER at Grayhawk.. they were very concerned that I had been sick so long with a fever for 16 days. Did a swab test and chest X-ray.. I have Influenza A and pneumonia.. too weak to barely walk. Dennis at Urgent care told me my lungs were clear, no infection. I need heavy duty antibiotics to kick this. If I had listened to Dennis at Banner Urgent Care I could have died. do not go here! They have no idea what medical care is! Should shut the doors before they kill someone!! read more

Excellent urgent care! From the min I checked in the front desk lady was very friendly and helpful. Short wait time but most importantly excellent care. They diagnosed me correctly and didn't rush to just throw antibiotics at me. Clearly ruled out that antibiotics would not help with what I had and instead prescribed me a couple of meds to help heal. Now 2 days later I'm doing so much better with the meds helping. I definitely will go back to this clinic if I need to go to an urgent care again in the future. Great experience! read more

I went in to get help for my pain in my hip and they didn't help me they refuse service and said they don't do x-rays I need to go somewhere else. I had to drive another 12 minutes to go get help. They required me to pay $75 up front and they don't automatically mail a refund once the insurance has been processed. After insurance the amount owed was $27.60 so they should have mailed a check for $47.40. I called central billing to ask for my refund and after being on hold for a very long time a lady there answered and told me they are very busy and took my name and number and said they would call me back. I never received a call back. I will be following up with them today. Aside from the billing issues I did receive good care. I made an appointment and was in and out quickly. read more

I went in to be seen, for which I thought was a virus or flu. I had fever for 3 days. They basically told me to take Tylenol and rest. Next day I went to Scottsdale Shea hospital, and they diagnosed me with bacterial pneumonia. I will never go back to this location again. They had me in and out in 10 mins. read more

I would give zero Stars if I could. Worst experience today. I called to see if I could walk in and was told there was a 2-hour wait and I should make an appointment so I did. My appointment was 4:45 and I got there at 4:40. I was in severe pain and couldn't stand up straight or sit very long due to what was probably a compressed disc pressing on a nerve. I needed a shot for pain. I was advise there were a lot of people and a wait even though I had an appointment. After waiting over an hour, I advise the front desk staff that I was night blind and would have to leave by 6:40 because Sunset was at 6:50. My name was next on the screen to be called however, when the nurse came out at 6:15, she called someone else and when I questioned the front desk about it, I was told he was waiting a long time and even though he didn't have an appointment, because he had been there for so long they put him in before me. I explained that all I needed was a shot and that I couldn't wait any longer because by time I got in it would be dark. The receptionist said I'm sorry but there's nothing I can do about it. He was waiting a long time and everybody's just waiting for something. She didn't care that I was in pain for the last 2 hours and that she knew I wasn't going to be helped at all. The gentleman who had gone in in my place was not in pain. I don't know what was wrong with him but he seemed fine and was waiting comfortably. He could have waited for one more person, me, to be helped. But they were just fine with not helping me at all. The website reads they provide fast care with minimal wait time. What a joke! They provided me with no care and didn't care that I sat there for 2 hours suffering. I was crying in the office in such pain and they still saw fit to put someone with no appointment in before me. They should be ashamed. I would never recommend this urgent care. Tonight, after another night of horrendous suffering, I will go out of my way to go to a different urgent care tomorrow to get help. read more

I twisted my ankle and possibly had a fracture. I was seen after spending only five minutes or so in the waiting room. Within half an hour, they had already done imaging on my foot and leg. A few more minutes and they had me fitted with a perfectly adjusted brace and a referral to an orthopedist. Everyone here was incredibly nice, friendly, and competent. You never want to require urgent care but sometimes life has other ideas, and it's a huge relief knowing there is excellent care nearby. read more

Due to COVID undoubtably there is long wait times. I was quoted two hours and it actually ended up taking 4 hours. I sat in the waiting room for about 2 hours and then was in the actual patient room for another 2 hours. If you have time to wait like I did on my Sunday off then come on down. Otherwise it's not the greatest facility. There needs to be much more physicians. Other than that the staff was kind. The doctor on duty was helpful and diagnosed me within 5 minutes and prescribed what was needed to feel better. Hopefully the wait times can change and patients can be seen an adequate time manner. read more

Honestly, this is the worst Urgent care i have been to in the valley. Went in with a swelled up throat, neg for strep and the flu. They said I had a viral infection and they can't help me. Not mentioning the open time steroid they could have given me to help me. Clearly in pain, I leave and go to the ER. With in 3 hours I am helped, my swelling is down, and i'm on my way home. I wish there was a zero star available because after my experience today, that's all this facility deserves. I have been going there for the past 12 years with my family and never had a problem like today. I walked in with my sick daughter 101 fever coughing. We were greeted by Carrie at the front desk. Right off the bat she started giving us attitude and she told my daughter to have her phone call outside of clinic which was ok but Carrie talked in unprofessional insulting way. I stayed calm but she had no compassion for my daughter as a patient. She asked for my daughter to come back in to fill out paperwork and I said I would give it to her but then Carrie with an angry voice said "your daughter is 18 needs to act like an adult and fill out her own paperwork". This women is out of line and should not talking to anyone with aggression. I asked to talk to someone else because I didn't want me or my daughter to be bullied and disrespected. She went in the back brought out a coworker after 10 min and Tabitha was sincere and said "I dont want to be in the middle" and when I came to tell her what's going on Carrie kept interrupting the conversion and talking back continually. This women should not work in an environment with patients not feeling good. After an 1 1/2 in this lobby of urgent care office they told us to leave and won't let a dr see my sick child. I immediately called a corporate number and they said someone will call me back. A lady named Paula called me back and I told her everything that happened. She handled the situation with out most respect and understanding. She told us that we can walk right in there and be seen by Dr by then it was too late since my daughter had a classes at ASU. My daughter, who's 17 but attending ASU, was denied medical treatment without an adult present. My wife and I are typically 2,000 miles away in IL, but luckily I was able to get to the facility to authorize her routine treatment. My daughter has been treated by several facilities here with verbal consent by us over the phone. Clearly this facility has never heard of the mature minor doctrine, allowing a mature minor to receive routine medical treatment and alleviates liability issues to the facility. Aside from life threatening needs we will choose another more knowledgeable and service friendly facility. read more

This urgent care is INCOMPETENT! I went in for bronchitis and did not get treated. I have had lung issues due to lung damage caused by a disease I had 20 years ago. My doctor from National Jewish in Denver had instructed me 20 years ago, if I ever get symptoms (bronchitis symptoms), to go on anti-biotics IMMEDIATELY. My Phoenix Pulmonologist agrees. Unfortunately, due to the weekend and my work load, I wanted to start antibiotics prior to Monday. First, Tammy the NP told me that bronchitis is ONLY VIRAL-WRONG TAMMY! Then she said, she would need an x-ray. I have had numerous x-rays while experiencing bronchitis and all they do is rule out pneumonia. I have gone to numerous urgent cares when out of town or over the weekend and every PA or NP I have ever seen, gets it! I just sent my pulmonologist and email for cefdinir (what he prescribed last) and will feel like crap until Tuesday. Monday, I will call my insurance company and make a complaint to them. read more

If I could give this UC I would! On 7/9 made an online appt . Arrived on time when the front desk employee advised me they had no X-ray machine available I said ok can you give me a phone number for another UC as I was new to AZ. She said no she was too busy with other patients ( there was only one other person in the waiting room). The Gentleman waiting was kind enough to give me a another Banner UC (Shea) the front desk there was nice and told me to continue my appt where I was and tell them to give me an X-ray slip to take to them. They tested me for COVID and Flu ( both negative) was diagnosed with Pneumonia . Long story short I went back to UC (Shea) I 7/19 asked them to test me for Valley Fever as I was not getting better they said they could not I had to go thru my PCP (really?). They put me back on steroid meds (for a bacterial infection . They gave me a total of 8 medications. On 7/24/22 I went to Honor Health ER EVERYONE was so nice and helpful! ER doc could not believe all of the meds prescribed I also told him about the VF test request he was confused. Honor Health ER did do VF test and I just found out this morning I am Positive for VF. Had I known 3 weeks ago of this I could have tried to get in to a Pulmonary Dr sooner than later. Our Family will never use Banner Health. read more

I went in with a sinus infection. I have had plenty in my life. I saw PA T. Foster, told her my symptoms explained I have severe allergies and I am positive I have a sinus infection. I have the green yuckies every morning. Her remedy, take Mucinex, Flonase, and cepacol lozenges for my throat!! So mad I ended up having to see another Dr. Why are they so fast to get you out and NOT LISTEN to you ! I would know my body before anyone else. Never go to this location again. read more

I was gobsmacked that the physician at this clinic let a 60 year old woman walk out of this clinic without offering some kind of solution for medication for high blood pressure. I'm am from Canada and thought I would be returning home for Christmas so I did not bring enough medication for more then one month. Things have changed for us making it not viable to return home yet. After speaking with my doctor in Canada she informed me she cannot prescribe cross border and suggested I go to a walk-in clinic and that it shouldn't be a problem for an American physician to see me. I made an appointment and brought my pharmacy information and this doctor could not even find it and did not know what it was and dismissed me.
