    Cucumber salad
    L M.

Service was a bit slow but being a new restaurant it's to be expected. Definitely more staff is needed. Food was really good and would definitely come back. Some good food items: the garlic green beans, spring rolls, chicken soup dumplings, and orange chicken. Some negatives ... cucumber salad was ok but needed more flavor. The chili oil had a bitter taste, and I wish there was vinegar/soy sauces for the dumplings. They did sell out of the beef soup dumplings and the shrimp ones which was a major fail, but waiter made up with an off the menu dessert because they also were out of the chocolate dessert dumplings. I was comparing to Din Tai Fung which has a high bar but nonetheless it was a good experience.

James LOVES his dumplings! When I'm in SF, kingdom of dumplings is one of my favorite spots amongst the many choices there. Perusing FB, I noticed a new place was doing its soft opening this week, a place called Bao Soup Dumplings. First off it's nice that a place like this is open in this part of town. They are in the retail area of the NOMA building. Walking in it has a sleek designer feel. Got seated quickly and my server was quick to take my order and get my drink. I ended up getting the pan fried pork dumplings, an order of the Bao fried rice and a cucumber salad. Everything is freshly made (they only make so much of each dumpling daily, so keep that in mind when ordering) and everything tasted on point. There are non-dumpling items on the menu, and the next time in I am definitely trying the chocolate dumplings. Had the house lemon tea and it was also most excellent. Parking can be had in the building. Get there soon and don't be surprised if this place gets constantly busy.

Our server was phenomenal (forgot his name ) and brought me a menu that had all dietary restrictions listed when I asked if he knew what items would be gluten free or not. Which, the chef / owner was walking around and came over to tell me that he could probably accommodate anything that wasn't listed as gluten free by using different sauces or ingredients. It was so refreshing to feel so taken care of when it comes to an allergy! My boyfriend and I ordered the Akaushi Ribeye, Half Roasted Chicken, and the Glazed Mushrooms to split. The flavors were spectacular! Everything paired so well together. The steak was the perfect rare (our preference) and the skin on the chicken was absolutely mouth-watering. The perfect balance of slightly crisp while the chicken was still nice and juicy. I'm still dreaming about it . The mushrooms paired beautifully with both the steak and all the flavors that came with the chicken! Everything was absolutely exquisite. The ambiance, the plating, the service, the flavors. 10/10. I've already convinced about 10 different people to go try it

Crispy but not greasy. I was really surprised to find the milk and fish soup. It's one of my comfort food that I have never seen in the U.S. I am also happy it opens at 10am on Saturday so I can have Asian food for brunch. So much so that I have learned to make it at home. L D Asian's lacked curry flavor and that nice yellow color that we are used to seeing. Not bad, but not recommended and certainly not the best in Tulsa. In all fairness, L D Asian's may be an authentic version of the Hong Hong dish, but just different than what we are used to. I studied the online menu and found three items that were new to me: Kam Heong Chicken, Samei Chicken and Asam Chicken. Do you know what they are? The restaurant does not provide any description. Thanks to Wikipedia and Google I was able to decode two of the three dishes. The restaurant needs to put descriptions on their menu. I chose the Asam Chicken, because Google described it as tart and spicy, made with tamarind and chilis. My kind of dish. It was excellent. Fresh tomatoes, okra (surprise), green beans and onion in a tangy spicy broth. Similar in taste to Siracha Chicken. I like this! Minimal service and matching decor. The restaurant is primarily set up for takeout. Order at the counter, the food is delivered to your table. The interior of the restaurant is functional, adequate, with booths, tables. Very limited drinks (bottled sodas). Try it and compare it to your preferred Asian restaurant.

Which was different but a good choice. The service town between lunch and dinner midweek was fast paced, but they weren't too busy. This is the usual time for us to make a pop in visit!! No reservations needed for this grub trap. We sure did enjoy. Now on to a good long walk at the Gathering Place. Enjoy the pre crisp Fall nights!! Tip your table service. Until next time...
