This was our first visit to Kumo Thai restaurant under the current management. We were pleased with how clean and orderly the restaurant was inside. It's a bit on the casual side but comfortable. It has a somewhat more intimate atmosphere and there is the main dining area and then a side room with more seating. Our server was very friendly and greeted us warmly upon our arrival. We were seated promptly impressed with menus. We ordered spring rolls for an appetizer. We didn't specify when they should be brought out and unfortunately they came out at the same time as our meal did. Not a big deal. I ordered Pad Thai with chicken. It was on the tangy side with a good amount of sliced chicken and the noodles were not overcooked. I asked for a little bit of heat and got just that. It was quite good. My wife ordered Cashew Stir Fried Chicken but she subbed out peanuts for the cashews. It was also delicious with lots of veggies and a good amount of chicken as well. The spring rolls were a little overcooked in my opinion. Overall we really enjoyed the food here and it's nice to have a good Thai restaurant so close to home.

I came to this new Thai restaurant for the pad mango. Let me tell you that this is a pretty rare dish that you probably won't see it that often. It was great however there were so few mango slices in this dish. The mango slices had great texture, not too soft and not too hard. I feel like they should put more mango in this dish because it's "pad mango" for goodness sake. I also had the pineapple fried rice which was great, comparable to other Thai restaurants. It's a fairly small restaurant with one server running the place. She did a good job. For a new restaurant, it was fairly busy. I might go back and try the pad mango again but this time with extra mango slices. I wonder how long this dish will stay on the menu because I can tell you not many people will try it. My first impression: pretty good Thai restaurant. Not as good as Lisu, but it has pad mango which Lisu does not.

First time to visit this little place. Very clean and the weight staff was attentive, although it was only one individual running around. Food came out relatively fast and it was delicious. Sometimes no spice level on a curry is super spicy but the no spice level on this curry was perfect. I got the pineapple curry. And enjoyed it. Next, I will try the yellow curry because I like lemon basil and missed it in this dish.

Went in for lunch. Was pleasantly greeted and seated upon arrival. Drinks were ordered and lunch arrived shortly after. Very quick and efficient restaurant. Plenty of seating for small lunch groups but can accommodate larger parties with pushing together tables. We ordered Chicken Satay appetizer, Papaya Salad and the Vegetable Green Curry with Egg Plant. All were very delicious but I did not like the presentation of the Papaya salad with all the liquid on the plate. Would be best without the garlicky fishy sauce!

My wife, the "Tofu Guru," described Pad Thai in expressive way that I have never heard her use, "the meal tasted crafted instead of thrown together." I think that is a gracious complement for a pile of bean sprouts and tofu. Yeah, she liked it! The tofu did look excellent. I tasted. Great, just a little too sweet for me. Pad Basil was on my plate. No Laarb today. I am not passing up basil and jalapenos. Read the menu description, check the picture. You will want it too. A big plate of vegetables, savory sauce, level 3 heat, and tender beef! It too, tasted as if crafted by a skilled cook. We started the meal with the Thai Shrimp Rolls. The golden fried crustaceans, each attired in crisp crunchy wonton skin. Served with a nice dipping sauce. Good meals here. Clean little restaurant with table service. Minimal, but adequate service.

New Thai spot in the old My Thai location. Friendly smiling staff went out of their way to make us feel appreciated and welcome. We came on the weekend & the whole family was fast at work. Always A good sign in my book. Clean and brightly lit, flowers on each table and light music in the background. Great Vibe. We started with the pork egg rolls, shrimp spring rolls and Thai chicken wings. Pork egg rolls - Crispy and packed with minced pork.. texture was A+ Shrimp Spring Rolls- these were reallyyy good. Cold, flavorful, & refreshing. Perfectly balanced and the addition of the fresh mint always make happy :) Chicken Wings - were prepared perfectly Crispy on the outside, moist and tender on the inside and the house green sauce was the perfect dipping sauce. Sour and tangy Although I've never eaten it, I've seen it on many Thai menus and know that it's a staple. I finally tried Som Tum Salad and I am on board! Shredded Green papaya, fresh garlic, chili peppers, tomato's, peanuts and a tart lime dressing. Medium spice level for me.. This dish had allll the flavors and my taste buds were in total dance party mode. Let's Goooo! My son had the chicken fried rice and it was very flavorful and the chicken and veggies were grilled before the rice was added, this added a nice grilled smoky flavorful to the entire dish Rounding out our Flavor Trip to Thailand with the Vegetable Green Curry was a very happy destination. Silky Smooth, Coconut Creamy and just the right amount of heat (hot level) The bowl was jammed pack with all the veggies and they were perfectly cut to make sure in each spoonful you experience all the flavors. Can't wait to come back and travel through this entire menu

I don't know how this place has a high rating. The portion is small and lack protein. There was very little service.

They seem to have seasonal menus, as the menus were different in person than I had found online. Still very good. Food is served family style, although still small portions IMO. The grill options don't come with a side of rice, which we didn't realize prior to the food arriving. Our server was very friendly and very attentive. We will go back, with a reservation to sit inside or during nicer weather to see if there's a larger outdoor seating area.

Generous portions, too. The service was off somehow. Waitress came for our orders and I placed mine. Spouse asked for a couple more minutes to decide. Didn't see her again til she brought my dish. She set it down and turned to go. Spouse had call her back to give her her order. Odd to say the least. The place only seats 14 and it wasn't half full. Empty water glasses weren't refilled. Didn't get a check so went to the counter to pay and found her deep into a text message until I got her attention by coughing. Maybe she was just having an off day. The food was good enough that we'll definitely give it another shot.

Not bad, but not recommended and certainly not the best in Tulsa. In all fairness, L D Asian's may be an authentic version of the Hong Hong dish, but just different than what we are used to. I studied the online menu and found three items that were new to me: Kam Heong Chicken, Samei Chicken and Asam Chicken. Do you know what they are? The restaurant does not provide any description. Thanks to Wikipedia and Google I was able to decode two of the three dishes. The restaurant needs to put descriptions on their menu. I chose the Asam Chicken, because Google described it as tart and spicy, made with tamarind and chilis. My kind of dish. It was excellent. Fresh tomatoes, okra (surprise), green beans and onion in a tangy spicy broth. Similar in taste to Siracha Chicken. I like this! Minimal service and matching decor. The restaurant is primarily set up for takeout. Order at the counter, the food is delivered to your table. The interior of the restaurant is functional, adequate, with booths, tables. Very limited drinks (bottled sodas). Try it and compare it to your preferred Asian restaurant.

Aside from that, they ordered things off the Happy Hour menu and were pleased. Dan and I got the 2 Happy Hour rolls. We would have loved "Some Like it Hot" without the hot sauce. The Dunwell roll is good if you like cream cheese in sushi rolls and many people do. There was a time when Dan and I loved that but now our sushi preference is nigiri and our roll preference is whatever is the closest thing you can get to nigiri. We also don't like signature cocktails. We prefer both our drinks and our sushi to be as close to pure as we can get: martinis and nigiri . We frequently attend Happy Hour at a different In the Raw. We find the service and ambiance better where we usually go. The sake at Brookside was not good. It had kind of a soapy taste. We got domestic beers for our second drinks. We forgot to ask for glasses. Service was slow so we just drank them from the bottle, which we hate to do. The main plus for the Brookside restaurant is the location. During warm weather, the outdoor seating is fun. We had a fun evening with our granddaughter and her wonderful boyfriend. My advice to diners is to ask for the Happy Hour menu anytime you go to any restaurant between 2 PM and 7 PM. This isn't the only restaurant that has a Happy Hour but doesn't promote it. Happy Hour here is from 3 and 5. They don't give you a Happy Hour menu unless you ask for it. Check out my Happy Hour list.
