We were lucky to get an outdoor seating and for the summertime we happen to pick a day that the temperature was just right around 85° with a slight breeze. It was wonderful. The server was amazing. Very nice. The drink was very good and strong!!! but the big star, of course was the food. We were so excited to try this restaurant while in town. The location is nice and it's on the water. I expected it to be nicer on the inside but it lacked a lot. The service was slow and the waiter was running and seemed pretty lost at times. They were out of the brisket kabobs. We got the wings and brisket fried rice which was really good. The Caesar salad is a no for me, it had a bitter taste. About an hour after we left 5 out of the 8 people in our party had stomach pain and upset stomach's all night. This is an amazing pan-Asian restaurant with a prime location on the riverfront with incredible and breathtaking views of the Arkansas River. Went here with my buddy George Jiang, who is an Assistant U.S. Attorney in NDOK. Very delicious dishes like fried rice, pork belly skewers, roasted chicken, corn cob ribs, and nice beverages like their matcha mocktail. We went shortly after the new year and had covered patio seating. I mention this because they have a small covered outdoor section with heaters during the winter, but I haven't visited in spring/summer to know if the area is opened wider. It was quite snug in our section, with several large parties, so also very loud. We started with appetizers - they were delicious! I enjoyed a view of the house cocktails. They seem to have seasonal menus, as the menus were different in person than I had found online. Still very good. Food is served family style, although still small portions IMO. The grill options don't come with a side of rice, which we didn't realize prior to the food arriving. Our server was very friendly and very attentive. Oh. My. Goodness. Everything was incredible. I probably said "this is soooooo good" after every bite! Our server was phenomenal (forgot his name ) and brought me a menu that had all dietary restrictions listed when I asked if he knew what items would be gluten free or not. Our Goddaughter wanted to go try this place out and I had heard some good things. Besides, I wanted to see what they had done with the old Blue Rose. We got a reservation which I recommend but there seemed to be plenty of seats at the bar if you're dining solo. We started with the shishito peppers and I loved how the bonito flakes were literally dancing on top. I liked the flavors but all the peppers we ate were extremely mild. (Eating shishitos can be like playing Russian Roulette). I would order them again. Our crew ordered the Kung Pao Chicken, the Mushroom Udon, and the Fried Rice w/Pork Belly. We ordered sides of the corn ribs, the caramel carrots and the zucchini. All of the entrees were delicious. Know that the Udon and the Fried Rice are smallish servings. Of the sides, the zucchini was my favorite followed by the carrots. The corn ribs had a great flavor but were super messy to eat. We had a couple of As Told by Ginger cocktails (their version of a mule) and the butterfly pea tea added such a great color. These were quite drinkable! (Read delicious!!) The cocktail menu is pretty eclectic. There are a few beers on tap. We rounded out our evening with the truffles. Perfect bites to end the meal. The only criticisms I had: *Our server could have been a bit more smiley and helpful. There are so many inventive fusions going on here, it would have been nice to had a rundown on the menu. *It was HOT in the restaurant. *This is an expensive undertaking! *The portions are small. Amazing Service! Everything was timely and excellent! We had an amazing waiter, and he had the absolute best recommendations, plus very attentive! I've been so excited to try this new restaurant that just opened not too long ago. I came into town to visit my family and my sister and I went and loved every dish we got! We ordered the Kung Pao Chicken, Cucumber salad, shrimp Udon, 1 pork belly skewer and two cocktails - tropical depression and they had a special drink of the week (or month? I forgot). This is the new restaurant that opened two weeks ago where Blue Rose Cafe used to be on Riverside. This Asian smokehouse concept comes from the people behind two Tulsa favorites: Lone Wolf Banh Mi and Chicken and the Wolf. The ambiance is great, whether you sit inside or outside. The red lights dragon on the ceiling welcomes you as soon as you walk inside. It has an intimate yet casual feel, especially if you choose to sit on their patio to enjoy the river view. The menu has a mix of Chinese, Korean, and Japanese inspired dishes. Items are meant to be shared and portions are small but hearty. The smoked corn fritters are some of the best I've tried. Extremely flavorful. I wanted to love the ahi crispy rice, but I wouldn't order it again due to the ahi-rice ratio being off. Too much rice, not enough ahi. For entrees, the fried rice and udon noodles are a great pairing. We added smoked pork belly to the fried rice and got shrimp with the noodles. The Thai chili in the shrimp udon made it my favorite. The spice level was perfect paired with peanuts and the citrus of the lime. Highly recommend. For cocktails, my favorite was Tropical Depression (pineapple rum, banane du Brasil, Demerara and lime). My husband enjoyed the house old fashioned. They have a separate wine and beer list. For dessert, we got the dark chocolate tart. It was extremely hard to cut since it was so dense, but once we managed to, I liked that it wasn't too sweet. Finally, service was great and responsive! It was easy to make a reservation online and the host immediately sat us down. Our server was very attentive. Our water was refilled multiple times through the evening. Pleasantly surprised with our experience at Daigoro . The view gets even better at sunset! The restaurant is smaller than I expected, it spared go have more seating outside than in, but both settings are beautiful. Inside is moody with a huge lit up dragon art piece/light fixture and outside you get riverside seating with good views and a great breeze. They have covered and un covered seating and umbrellas for shade. Our server was amber and she was sweet and informative, helped us narrow down our indecisiveness because everything sounded good. We ended up with an old fashion, yuzu sour, karaage chicken, shishito peppers, and shrimp udon noodles (spicy), and yuzu donuts for dessert. Thoroughly impressed with all 3! It's been a while since we have been wowed with everything we've ordered! Everything has a TON of flavor and left you wanting more. This building has had many restaurants come and go over the years. Finally it has been transformed into an upscale Asian-Fusion and Korean BBQ restaurant that has been beautifully designed and completely renovated from its previous owners. Now that the low water dam project on the Arkansas River has been completed, the outside deck has a spectacular view of the River from its high perch. The bartenders and servers were on top of their game and very friendly and knowledgeable. As suggested by our server we first tried the smoked corn fritters. Wow they were fantastic with a nicely smoked flavor. My wife and I shared Kung Pao Chicken and Fried Rice with Brisket. The Kung Pao dish had a good amount of spicy heat to it. I thought it was delicious. The Fried Rice was also quite good but I was quite disappointed with the Brisket. There were only 6 or 7 chiclet sized pieces and 4 of them were nothing but total fat. Very disappointing considering the cost. For dessert we had the Truffles. There were 4 squares of chocolate dusted with cocoa powder and they were delightfully smooth and scrumptious. A nice espresso would have gone well with them but I don't think that was an option. Loved the experience and look forward to return soon. The Friday evening we visited there were no reservations available from 5-9pm, it was that busy. We had to wait for an open table outside on the deck. We didn't mind the wait and the deck seating was worth the wait. Daigoro has in fact been open only a few weeks but everything seemed to be running smoothly. Prices were slightly higher than I was expecting and the wine selection was definitely on the pricey side. Don't expect to find many choices under $50-$60 a bottle. Also disappointing was the lack of any bottled or canned beer save for one lonely Japanese IPA which was actually really good ($8.) Some suggestions to the restaurant, throw a few more bottled wine selections in the $25-40 price range. Add more bottled or canned beer options and feature some of Tulsa's awesome local brews on the menu. Trim your brisket so that you are not serving pieces of fat. read more

We star Well, we had an excellent meal! We tried fourteen menu items. The starters were great. The karrage chicken was crispy and had a nice glaze on top. We enjoyed the yuzu dipping sauce that came with it. The corn fritters were also tasty, although the glaze didn't adhere to them as well as the chicken. The wings were good, but I felt the smoke flavor was overpowering. The sides were also good. The carrots were flavorful and soft, and the zucchini was good, although I think it would be better served as eggplant because of its inherent moisture. The Caesar salad was a generous portion and very tangy and flavorful. The mains were delicious. The plain fried rice was rich and flavorful, and it was cooked perfectly. Don't be deceived by the photos; it's actually a rather generous portion. The brisket fried rice was also excellent. The ribs were just okay, and I wouldn't get them next time. I don't think post oak is the best wood for beef. The pork belly and filet skewer were awesome. The kung pao chicken was the star of the show. It seemed like a weird menu item for upmarket Asian food, but it was very tangy and paired well with the sticky rice. The dessert was also great. The donuts were nice and warm, and we enjoyed the yuzu middle. The ganache was rich and enjoyable. Overall, it was a great evening, and we all really enjoyed our meal. We can't wait to return! After heeding the recommendation of several of my friends, I finally managed to make it out to Daigoro on riverside in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We rolled up to a beautiful setting and were greeted by a friendly host who seated us immediately despite our early arrival. Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive. Unfortunately, the food was not to the same standard as the service and atmosphere. We started out with the cucumber salad and the corn fritters which were okay. We then followed our starters up with the kung pao chicken and the shrimp udon. Both of our main courses were saturated with sauces that were super sour. None of us could eat more than a bite or two of each item. Perhaps it was an off night or perhaps it was the items we ordered, but I don't see a return visit. I wanted to have Asian food for my birthday celebration. Checked Yelp. (Of course) Diagoro seemed appealing so my wife and I went on a week night. The crowd was light and so we were greeted and seated immediately. The neon dragon set the mood and the overall atmosphere was upscale dinning. Located on the river and close to downtown Tulsa makes this a nice choice for a special meal. Our server gave us time to decide on our drink orders. She also explained the menu to us and made suggestions based on our questions. First, they smoke most items that might benefit from smoke on site. Second all items are designed for 1-3 people. So far a great impression. Pricey menu noted. We ordered three items. 1. smoked corn fritters. These are not your average hush puppy. With a Smokey crispy outside and a creamy center with grilled corn seasoned with Thai chili they were the highlight of the meal! 2. I ordered the King Pao chicken which again isn't comparable to the generally accepted version. Smoked chicken is an improvement that needs to be copied. Just the right amount of sweet/heat but a little heavy with the soy sauce served with sticky rice. Garnished with mint and basil. 3. My meat eater wife ordered the beef tenderloin skewers, medium rare. They were the big disappointment of the evening and the only menu item that was not shareable. Three small cubes of tender filet. They were cooked medium well and only had a light smoke. They easily could have been hot smoked to medium rare. They would have been improved some by adding a scoop of sticky rice and some type of garnish like basil. All-in-all very good food, great service, but expensive. I'm so excited that something finally opened in the old Blue Rose on the river. It's in walking distance from my house and I've missed having something there. We tried to order a smattering of dishes so we could try a little bit of everything. We had the corn fritters, the potatoes, the chicken, the zucchini, the fried rice with brisket, and the shaking beef. Everything was really good. The cut of meat on the beef was delightful. I only wish that the Radicchio underneath it was cut a little bit smaller so it was easier to eat. Our server, Christopher, was super nice and very helpful! My friend and I stuck with the white wine and our husbands tried two different cocktails each. All of it was excellent. I will say that I can't wait for the more casual place to open up in the old elwoods.
