Ok so not really because the food is very small and expensive but it's fun to get a random snack instead of just candy. The seats are comfy, the food is good, and I always enjoy myself when I come here. Also, their funnel fries are amazing. You can get them at mensis as well but they're just a tiny bit better here. You're exhausted, still recovering, but you push through to show up for your kid and create a normal moment. At first, I overlooked her short, rude demeanor, assuming she may have been overwhelmed. But when we handed our movie passes, cast member Tiffany held each one up in the air as if inspecting a $20 bill, then called for a manager on her walkie without saying anything. We stood there confused, and when I asked if there was a problem, she said, "We're about to see." We stepped aside so we wouldn't hold up the line and watched other guests be warmly greeted and helped. The manager came, asked a question or two, and told her to check us out, but Tiffany didn't. She continued helping others while we stood there waiting respectfully, not trying to cause a scene, feeling embarrassed as people looked at us, wondering what was going on. It wasn't until my husband spoke up that she finally helped us. The delay wasn't the issue. It was the lack of communication and the way we were made to feel. We were treated with suspicion rather than respect, as though we had done something wrong. Customer service isn't just about selling tickets. It's about treating people with dignity, explaining what's happening, and showing basic kindness. You never know what someone may be going through.

You can also order food from your seat at this theater. They have drinks and grill type food. Although. I like the olive branch theater much better, this one's not bad. If you go during the week. The weekends, it tends to be a hangout for a lot of young kids. The inside is fairly clean. And the service is good. I just wish they would open up more registers. The popcorn tends to taste a little old at times, but for the most part it's ok. I recommend this theater if you want the recliner seats. If that's not a big deal to you. The olive branch theater is much nicer and they have the bar grille as well.

We were able to immediately buy our tickets from the kiosk. No wait! The line for the concession stand was long but moved quickly. That was surprising and enjoyed. Of course, the concession stand is not cheap but the popcorn and the nachos were good. Worth the money! The actual theater itself is clean and the reclining seats make it very comfortable. I did not try the service, but the sign said you could even have hot food delivered to your seat right in the theater. I don't often go to the movie theater, but when I do, I'll make sure to return to the Malco DeSoto cinema.

My wife got us tickets to see Gary Owen because she knows how much I love seeing him. The show was absolutely great and she picked some very good seats. I did feel like he cut the show just a little short. There's always that one drunk person that wants to yell out from the crowd. I think it was starting to irritating. What can you say about the orpheum? That hasn't already been said. It's a very nice historical place. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars. Is because like everyone else, they take advantage of people on concessions. I realized back in the day. This is the way places made their money. It's a little different these days. They make plenty of money on the shows. My other small complaint is the seating. Although its way better than Minglewood Hall, the seats are just too close together. I'm a big fella, and it's just very uncomfortable. Overall, they put on great shows and the place is very nice. I definitely wouldn't let the small things stop you from going.
