We've ordered from here many times. The last three times they have forgotten our sweet and sour sauce for our Sweet and Sour Chicken even tho we reminded them each time . We then have to wait for them to deliver it and our food is getting cold. This time I had egg shells in my stir fry rice and there was more breading than chicken. Our soup containers were not even half full. I think this will be the last time we order from here. $25 for a lunch that was very disappointing. read more

I ordered the General Tso's chicken. It comes with red pepper flakes and sliced jalepenos. I asked them to hold the jalepenos and I'm glad I did. Was a bit spicy, but I'm a whimp. Chicken was crispy and a generous portion. Will go again. read more

At Lunch on the weekend. It was quiet in here. Not crowded and I'm surprised as the food is tasty. I was apprehensive to try it as Bao's Cafe doesn't have bao on the menu. It is the name of the owner's father. I guess I'm gonna have to drive to DT Houston to get my dim sum fix. The won ton soup had great flavor needs more veggies but the soup broth was yummy. The fried wontons were filled with chicken. Also seasoned well. With hot mustard it was great! Sesame chicken was flavorful and good chunks of chicken cooked fresh to order. I added hot mustard to this too. Made it pop for me. Others would add sriracha to it to add spice to it. Both good flavor profiles for this dish. I will be back as this satisfied my Chinese Food craving with a full and happy tummy. read more

Small and not very busy inside. The menu is very similar to other Chinese restaurants. Sesame, Orange and Pepper Chicken. Several variations of Rice, Noodles, etc... Tried the Pot Stickers, Spring Rolls, Pepper Steak, Orange Chicken, Sesame Chicken, Brown Rice and Fried Rice. It was better than any other Chinese Restaurant that I've been to in the area. I typically enjoy lunch here, however, tonight we ordered pickup for dinner. It is less than a ten minute drive from our home. We ate right away but had to microwave every dish due to it being less than lukewarm. The shrimp in the LoMein was breaded and the noodles were flat and soggy. I purchased an order of Pad Thai today. I was asked what type of meat and I asked for tofu. Pretty simple. When I got home I discovered that there was no tofu. I called the restaurant to let them know. The young lady who spoke to me insisted that there were "supposed" to be tofu and I repeatedly stated, that the tofu is missing . I will not waste my time calling the restaurant if my order was done correctly. Great little Chinese cafe with a clean restaurant and friendly staff. The food is always fresh, and fast. You'll find all your typical Chinese dishes here. orange chicken, Mongolian Beef, etc. all good. But the standout items for me are the Shrimp roll appetizer, a very crispy spring roll filled to the brim with shrimp and some green onion. The house Wonton soup. A very hearty wonton soup packed with wonderful veggies, meats, and wontons. And my favorite entree, the Sault and Pepper shrimp. Shrimp seasoned and lightly fried with diced onions and bell peppers. I've been to this cafe many times over the last couple years. Typically we pick it up and take it home. I also stop in for lunch breaks and they're fast enough and reasonably priced. I do give this place props for using fresh ingredients since the food was fresh but the taste just wasn't there. Even the fried rice seemed off for me. The foundations are good but the restaurants needs to try a little more to perfect the taste. If the restaurant can attempt to mimic inner city Houston Chinese food taste like Rice Box then I'd pop in every week. I'd love to visit again if there are some changes to the food. This is the best Chinese food we've found since moving to this side of town. The food wasnt just a plate of heavily salted protein. We got some take out, and only constructive criticism I would make is that the Generals Chicken could use a bit more sauce in the take out. Take out order of pad Thai was a box of rubbery noodles with a couple of shrimp and a few dry pieces of chicken. The ingredients listed on the menu: bean sprouts (none), tofu (a couple of dried up pieces), scallions (none), peanuts (none), Thai sweet & spicy sauce (none). It was garbage. Not appetizing or edible. I contacted the restaurant a couple of days later (I had been at home sick). I was told that I should have called them RIGHT away and that it was NOT their "policy" to make good on bad food two days later. I don't have a crystal ball to know what their "policy" is and they provide NOTHING in writing to inform customers of their "policy". I simply expected that the manager would act with integrity to make things right. Unfortunately, he was more interested in keeping my money rather than retaining a customer. Good business is good business and greedy business people who value a $10 food order over HONEST business do NOT deserve to STAY in business. The manager ARGUED with me and refused to make good on bad food. I do NOT make it a habit to complain and insist on a refund for no reason. I am a senior citizen and NO one deserves to be treated with the stubborn indifference this manager displayed. Consider yourself warned. Go somewhere else for Chinese food. read more
