I was kept warm and cozy and even got my choice of what I wanted to listen to during my test, through headphones. I chose 70's music (I mean there is nothing better than that decade of tunes, am I right ? ). My tech Terri was amazing and updated me several times throughout the procedure. I'm not gonna lie (I don't anyway ) it was so comfortable I did catch me some zzz's haha , yes! It was that comfortable. Oh, also some brand drinks and snacks for you as you leave. The nurses and doctors we've seen have been friendly, informative and helpful. They have a CT scanner at the facility which helped us greatly since my mom needed a scan each time to make sure she didn't have any internal issues. We only had to wait about 30 minutes for the results and were discharged shortly after. This location is right off 281 but when putting the location in your maps app, search for The Baptist Neighborhood Hospital instead of typing in the actual address to assure you are sent straight there. There has always been ample parking with well placed handicap spots. It feels good to have an emergency room close by I can trust.

She tested positive for covid. Doctor wouldn't prescribe her anything. I asked if he could at least give her prednisone for her throat. Shook his head and said "Nope. Not giving her anything. Just go home after after about 5 days she'll be better." The rest of the conversation went like this: "If you gave her monoclonal antibodies would they help her covid?" "She's not a candidate for that." "Ok. But would they help?" "I'm not going to prescribe that to her." "But would they help?" "I already told you that I'm not giving that to her." "Yea, I know. But would they help her." "Yes. They'd help. But I'm not prescribing them." Left the hospital, called a family member doctor out of state, prescribed her prednisone, her throat felt much better 15 min. later. Go to this lousy hospital at your own risk. If you do, hopefully you won't get this jackass doctor.

I was happy to see that at 1:20PM... there was a 1:30PM and 1:40PM appointment for the same day. The clinic was in the on the same floor as my doctor's office which was very convenient. I arrived to the appointment at about 1:25PM since it was across the hall and was able to quickly check in via the kiosk as the mobile check-in process wouldn't allow a check-in more than 10 min early. The kiosk asked for my cell phone number, scanned my drivers license and my insurance card then I was good to go. Almost immediately after checking in, I was called back. The woman who called me back and was collecting the sample was very kind and careful and was easy to chat with. I really liked the staff at this clinic as well as how efficient they were (on-time for appointments).

Dr. Garza sent me here to get the stool containers. There were about 3-4 people in the waiting area and I was second in line. There was only 1 check-in kiosk. I was initially expecting that they would be quick and hand me one stool container. I was finally called in, shown 3 containers, and Angelica thoroughly explained what I needed to do. The reasons why I didn't rate the visit higher are the wait time and fewer check-in kiosks compared to LabCorp. Hopefully the process will be quicker when I come back.
