Yesterday, Sunday 4-26-26 we had a birthday party for my husband. We had a party of 13. Ages 5 months to age 69. We had absolutely the best time! We were in the game room and it was PERFECT! Our waitress was GREAT and took wonderful care of us! The food was incredible.. as always! Our all time favorites are the jalapeño poppers. We have never had such tasty ones! The dipping sauces are great too! I believe we devoured 5 orders of them! Even the 3 year old grandson LOVED them! Thank you for the great venue and stellar service by our attentive waitress! We had an amazing brunch at Bar 145. The establishment is spacious & there is an arcade bar on the opposite side of the bar. The server was awesome - we opted for the brunch buffet - $20/person & well worth it. The parfait portion of the buffet was one of my favorites- as well as the Bloody Mary bar. I bet this place gets packed at night! We came in around late lunch time and the space was pretty cool! They had a large bar that spanned from inside to outside, an area for live bands with a raised stage and they have an arcade room completely separate from the bar area. We ordered some summer cocktails and some apps to try. We ordered fried green beans, gator tots and the Quesadilla Crisp. The tots and friend green beans were good, but oh my gosh the Quesadilla crisp was by far one of the best appetizers I've tried! It was cooked perfectly and the flavor was fantastic! First of. Let me say I am not a "bar guy". I never was. That said this place was really good. The wife, kiddo, and I went for a late lunch on a Saturday. It wasn't too crowded. Wifey and I were looking fit a good burger and we found it. She got the diner burger and I guy the Smokey Bear. Both were cooked medium. The gouda on mine was perfect. Crispy bacon, nice garlic aioli and spinach on a pretzel bun. Fantastic! The fries were good as well. Wifey also got a side salad which was served in an oblong bowl. The ambiance upon entering is that of an upscale yet casual bar and grill. It's a large spacious area with many tables and a few booths. My friend and I snagged a booth. There is a stage where they apparently have live music (maybe weekends) but not on Wednesday night when we were there. It wasn't very crowded, which was okay by us. We were promptly greeted by our server who was very pleasant and attentive. The menu appeared to have a decent selection of food. This spot clearly is known for its build your own burgers. While there was a blackbean veggie burger option, I had read reviews that it could be mushy. I asked our server about the turkey reuben and she couldn't recommend it herself because she doesn't care for cheese but said it was popular. Okay. sold on the turkey reuben and fries with Parmesan cheese. My friend's burger looked amazing (even though I don't eat red meat). The burger was stacked high in a brioche bun with everything you could possibly want on a burger. On the other hand, my turkey reuben was nothing impressive. In fact I questioned whether it was actually Turkey because the meat was a dark reddish color. Our server assured me it was turkey. The sandwich bread was rather greasy; "turkey" wasn't plentiful and the cheese seemed processed. On top of that it was cold, perhaps because it had cole slaw on it- which was also pretty lackluster. I picked around the sandwich and ate what I could because I was hungry. The fries with Parmesan didn't really interest me because they were greasy and well done. I should have gone with tater tots. My friend had a couple of martinis and enjoyed them. Since I was driving, I had a house chardonnay, which was fine. No complaints about the service and my friend and I enjoyed our conversation. I didn't make a fuss over my mediocre food, but absolutely can't recommend the turkey reuben. If I ever return, I'd definitely try something else-maybe chicken sandwich or veggie burger. Well I suggest you stick with what they are known for. Burgers. I came for brunch and I should have known when the place was half empty not to eat. Food took almost an hour n had nerve to come out cold. Worst chicken n waffles ever. They tried to turn the waffle overso we wouldn't see that it was burned on one side. Just cook another one Chicken was not seasoned at all. I got avocado toast topped with scrambled egg and bacon. Cold eggs suck. Service is lazy. Plenty of bartenders talking amongst themselves or texting when you are trying to get their attention. Brunch on Sunday from open til 3. Nope. They shut down brunch around 220pm when I tried to order something else. Good beer n wine selection if you can get someone to give you the beer menu. Suggest just come for drinks. A nice place. Roomy without feeling on top of everyone which is nice these days. Burger was great. They have a good burger lineup, but you can build your own which I always enjoy. Truffle fries were OK but not as good as I've had other places. I'd probably skip them next time. Beer selection was OK but they were out of many that they had on the menu. We stopped in for a couple of appetizers for happy hour that were half off up until 6pm. The cheeseburger egg rolls were very good as well as the sweet chili chunks and chicken bacon ranch flatbread pizza. Our waitress was very nice and helpful with her suggestions. I've been here 3 times now, and every time the food has been amazing and the service has been great! The food is high-end restaurant quality and not something you'd expect from a restaurant that has "Bar" in their name. The seating/dining area is very spacey, which is nice. You don't feel on top of other people. They also have a nice drink selection, and the added area in the back with arcades and a separate bar was very nice. Skip to the last paragraph of this review if you wanna read something pretty cool...then come back and read the rest :) We've been eating at Bar 145 a lot more often lately. The main reason for this is that Burger Bar 419 recently divested from the nearby Monroe street location (which subsequently devolved back into the thoroughly mediocre "Star Bar.") Generally speaking, I like Bar 145. But... The food is pricy for the quantity that you receive. I usually order a burger which I "build myself" using the provided order form (as shown in several of the pictures). My burgers have, and this is unusual at most other places, ALWAYS been cooked to a perfect medium well, and have always been very tasty. BUT, the patties definitely seem to be a little on the small side and the toppings seem to be a little on the sparse side. After I eat a burger, either with or without the bun, I still feel pretty damned hungry. The mixed drinks are creative and, in general, are a cut above those offered at other places; same is true for the appetizers. Better yet, the drinks and the apps change with the seasons. The beer selection is pretty OK also. Atmosphere: Pretty much what you'd expect. Clean, and nice enough. BUT, bring your earplugs if you plan to eat inside when a band is playing. The patio is small, but chill. Service: No significant problems yet. Crowd: I've heard this place described as a meat market. Yeah. It just might be that. FINALLY (and this shit is important): Although it's not open yet, "RESET" will be opening very soon, and will be attached to Bar145. Billed as "Toledo's first adult arcade," it sounds pretty great to me. They plan to have about 30 FREE PLAY classic arcade games, and about 30 beers on tap (serve yourself and get charged by the ounce...perfect for sampling new beers!!). This place took me by surprise. A strip Mall bar, but it is cool. I was impressed with the layout. Nice open atmosphere and a outside Patio. They have LIVE music with a stage for the bands to perform on. I just had a few beers and some appetizers. My daughter and I were killing time. Chris at the bar was very friendly and attentive. My daughter and Chris struck up a rather lively conversation. Looks like a good clean place with a entertainment value that you will enjoy. The parking on weekends would be scarce, but adjacent parking lots not far from the bar will be you best bet. Overall this is a good place to frequent. We've driven from Ann Arbor more than once for lunch here. It's that good! Most recently we ate on the patio on a beautiful, 75-degree summer afternoon and had a perfectly wonderful experience, made all the more so by a very attentive server and a gentle summer breeze I'm sure they ordered up just for us! Cauliflower steaks were a great appetizer and paired nicely with our eclectic mix of beverages. Although I don't recommend the Red Chuck Mojito, despite the fact that I drank it all, there are plenty of other choices so you won't leave thirsty! Food selections around the table included a Grilled Cheese Burger, a couple of Americana Sliders, French Onion Soup, Cheesy Mac and Truffle Fries. It gets to stars for the food but probably the worst service I've ever had in my entire life. The waitress was ridiculous and refused to even acknowledge that I was there. She would only talk to my boyfriend. And it first I laughed it off as like being kind of funny but she dropped off her food and did not check on us for probably 35 minutes until I went to the bathroom then came running over. We noticed the same thing at her other tables as well. She would only speak to the man. Which was funny because she's very obviously pregnant. One of the waitresses walked by and accidentally spilled a tray of drinks and some landed on me. I am also a waitress so it was no problem I helped her clean up and everything was fine. But my waitress gave ME a nasty look. Ok the food was actually decent. I would definitely go back again and eat because the burger was awesome as was the mac & cheese. After coming here several times, satisfied at every visit, I decided to stop there with the kids. Wish I didn't. What a total disappointment to one of my favorite restaurants in Toledo. True that they were super busy, but there was absolutely no reason for the chaos there. First of all when you come in and have to wait, you're either standing at the door or in the way of everybody else. It was getting extremely uncomfortable and the hostess/waitresses were making it clear as they sighed and huffed every time they had to walk by. I honestly had no where to go but was trying my best to get out of the way. The waitress we had was very friendly but very busy. She quickly took our order, 20-30 minutes later one of the kids dishes made it to the table. 10 minutes after the waitress passed by and noticed everyone's plate was not there yet. After asking the kitchen she apologized a lot for the mixup and said our orders were being put through. By the time we got our food it was almost an hour after we had placed it. The manager was nice enough to knock off some side dishes and %10 off the bill....? Our food was mediocre this time. Burger was way over done. Bun was soggy. It was just not our usual bar145 meal. I left there extremely disappointed, and so did the family. Had this been our first time there, I'd guarantee that it would have been our last. I ordered "buffalo" sauce (the most common sauce for wings) on 12 wings from door dash and received a "honey garlic glaze" sauce. After calling and questioning the order their manager said "they don't have a buffalo sauce and they are working with door dash to correct the issue with buffalo as an option but that is their version of buffalo". They did nothing to compensate me for a 100% wrong order, verified the order was wrong and the manager made me feel like I'm the one complaining about nothing. I don't know in what world the combination of honey/garlic resembles buffalo but it was sticky/oily/watery and disgusting in my taste and I'm just forced to deal with it. You can't just send food out to people that have already paid for it on your "version" of anything outside of what they ordered, especially when it's a night and day difference. The flavor of honey and garlic have absolutely ZERO attributes of a buffalo sauce (btw the sauce is what makes the wings). This issue could've been resolved as I called and just questioned the order because I thought it was just a mistake and was told that is their buffalo, tough luck. I am right, I ordered buffalo, they are wrong, they delivered me honey garlic on the premise they don't carry buffalo which is on every menu they have. They have no stance but I, the customer, am wrong and stuck with it. Again, this petty issue could have been resolved with just basic customer service but I'm stuck with nasty food that they acknowledged I didn't even order!
