The bigger issue, though, was the food. Several courses were noticeably undercooked and difficult to enjoy. The carrot salad had hard, undercooked carrots and a very bitter sauce that overwhelmed the dish. The grilled Badger Flame beets were also undercooked and had an unpleasant flavor. The beet risotto was firm and lacked the creamy consistency you expect from a properly prepared risotto. The halibut tasted overly fishy and seemed undercooked in the center. For $75 per person on Valentine's Day, we expected a polished, thoughtfully executed experience. Instead, the meal felt poorly prepared and not worth the price. Last night we stopped in because they have spiced apple and maple ciders that we wanted to try. The spiced apple was the best cider I've ever had from Levengoods. It had the perfect amount of spice and was just damn good. The maple was also good. It's more of a maple aftertaste, but still good. We even took a can of spiced apple home. You can get three sizes of cider. They have a flight glass for $2, a half pint for $3.50, and a pint for $6. They also sell large bottles, crowlers, and growlers to go. Every time we go it is always the same bartenders, who are beyond nice. Even when it's pretty full they still take the time to talk with you and get to know you. If we lived closer, we'd be there so much more because it's just that good. I really wish we lived closer. We'll be back soon because that apple spice is just worth it to us!

Also, really, their wine isn't great. It's more for the experience it took us this many times to really realize it. Anyways, after the first second tasting, our server vanished for about 20ish minutes. She finally came back to give us our 3rd tasting (you get 4) and that was it for at least another 20ish minutes. All in all we spent about an hour and a half and that was because of all the wait times. Another couple came in and sat at the bar who didn't have the deal; it was obvious they were worth the attention more than us local flavor people. I really advise them to stop doing this deal. They get overwhelmed easily and I ended up feeling like I was hounding them to serve us. (Makes sense since a Brazilian Steakhouse is connected to the building) The prices were fair and they even had some exclusive Iron Abbey collab beers with local breweries. It's out of the way for me bottle shop wise, but if I do stop by the area I'll of course check out their stock. I found a couple of nice hard to find Imperial Stout's that now have a nice home. Also, the bartender was very nice, I do not remember her name but I told her I would be writing a review and she got really happy with that. She also told me a spooky ghost story from one of the rooms in the house. I won't spoil it but it was a good story. The cocktails are pretty pricey going as high as about $19. I had seen online that they had a flight of sparkling wines and before I arrived I was considering that until I realized it was $40. But the cocktails are very well mixed. The food menu I'm sure would not appeal to everyone. It's kind of eclectic and they have some small plates and a few entrées, but it's pretty limited. I would recommend the charcuterie board because you can just pick and choose from the charcuterie menu as to how you want your board created. We were all pleased with the charcuterie board. We would most likely return there for cocktails, but I don't think we would do it as a dinner spot, we ended up going elsewhere to eat our dinner.
