The food is better than you would expect from a brewery. Schnitzel is tasty as well as the fish and chips.

Our family has come to Beirhall twice recently and both times have enjoyed our experience. The service time is pretty quick which is nice because we have multiple kids with us and they don't have to sit too long hungry or getting antsy. Beirhall has coloring pages available by the door which is nice for families with kids, as well. There is also an outdoor seating area that is pebbled and has some lawn games available like corn hole. Their chicken schnitzel is really good as well as their nachos. Everyone at our table loved their meals. I wish the brewery provided more instruction when you come in. The first time we came in, no one was around to greet us and we didn't know how things worked. Finally we sat and waited and then realized you order via a bar code. I think they could benefit from some low, vibey music. Both times we have come, it's been very quiet, almost like a library. Everyone has been hushed around their tables and or watching tv. It's a bit odd, like a library that sells beer. Otherwise the food is pretty good and the are cold & crisp. I haven't had a ton of interaction with staff because they kind of just drop the food off and move on, but when we have interacted they have been friendly. Beers are a 10/10. Menu has a good offering for the style of place this is. Staff was great. The food was a solid "ok" I can't say I was impressed with that aspect, but it certainly wasn't bad. Worth a stop. read more

Super good beers, excellent food, open seating, loads of parking- what's not to like? I had the chicken caesar wrap- nicely balanced, crispy lettuce chopped small so it works in the wrap, and nice fluffy pita. My sweetheart had the fish and chips which was also excellent. Beer-wise, it is so awesome that there are many options for small beers (aka .3 L or half pints, and some of the higher ABV's have a .25 L option). My Stratamander (Hazy Pale Ale) was more hop-forward than I expected, but was perfect for my regular IPA palette. I also tried the dunkel which was delicious- nutty and crisp, balanced and full of flavor- really, a superb beer. My husband had the Crazy in the Coconut Imperial Milk Stout- rich, deep, molasses-ey in the best way, mildly coconutty. We will definitely be back and will bring friends - there are games you can borrow for your table and trivia on Mondays! read more

That kind of beer is not for me, give me a miller Lite and I am happy. That said everyone in out party was very happy with the beer. Food now that's another story. I had the schnitzel plate, it was the worst I have ever had. It was pound to about 1/16" then breaded and fried to a very done piece of leather. They should give a saw to cut it because it was almost imposable to cut with the table knife. The sauerkraut looked and taste like it came right of a can, potato salad was good. Wife had the Currywurst it had so much curry ketchup you could not see the food. Other peoples food looked ok. I don't think we will eat here again. Service is very slow. read more

Wunderbar! Had always wondered why there were no German options in Lancaster and discovered BierHall today thanks to the Lancaster Bicycle Club. The schnitzel reminded me of those my mom or my cousins in Germany would make. The sides? German style cuc salad and kraut? *chefs kiss* The Bier would have lead to a few verses of "Ein Prosit, ein Prosit" had there been more. Different Cheesesteak #1213. Lancaster, who knew you are much more than outlet shopping and the Amish? Bierhall Brewing, you put me on an emotional roller coaster!! Simple looking building on the outside. Trophy for best build-out on the inside. Exposed beams and open floor plan, I learned that from Joanna Gaines. My cheesesteak came with a side. I asked Lexus (tender of the bar extraordinaire) for a signature side. She recommended the potato salad. While I waited, I saw four meals come out of the kitchen. Each one looked better than the meal next to it. Many orders for the pretzel. My meal came out. The potato salad looked bland at best. The potato salad was pretty freaking tasty. It had flavor to spare. The cheesesteak came with BEER CHEESE!! The beer cheese added nice flavor. I look forward to getting a pretzel, that Lexus didn't tell me to order, with the beer cheese. Forgot the most important part in my video. Loved my beer!! I look forward to trying at least 2 more that I saw on the menu. read more

Pretty average. Wouldn't go back on my own but if someone else was interested I might go. Service options were also lacking. Needed some small plates and wound up eating off a napkin. Had nachos, giant pretzel, chicken tenders, and fries. Did a flight of beer. Out of that, the pretzel was probably best it was also oversalted. Would probably ask for it on the side next time. To start, probably top 10 French fries ever. Aside from that, the cheesesteak, wrap (think it was Doner?) and kids menu are all pretty good. Beer-wise, I ordered a flight and all three were tasty and hit the spot. Ambience - it's a bit bare bones in there so a bit more character would be nice. Slow cooked lamb (was imagining meaty, tender chunks), what was received - square, thin lamb shards; I asked for extra LTO & cucumber (not received), hot sauce on the side (it was slathered within) - kinda annoying, when things specifically asked for, were not done. Loved the sweet, tangy red cabbage and I'm still trying to figure out why my husband's sandwich/drink/dessert/ and my drink, sandwich, cost $70. Great bubbly personality, terrific recommendations, and watched her maintain her kickass enthusiasm no matter how busy it got, engaging each patron like they were the only one in the place. I got a Clipp coupon for this place cause it was something different to try. We got the smashed burger and wings. The burgers were ok but I have had better, the bread was a little stale. The wings were tasty. The highlight of the meal was the onion rings. I felt it was a little pricey. The service was very good. I wasn't fond of how you had to order food. The beer is good at Bierhall Brewing but the food is not and the ambiance isn't much better. For a place that says they're like a traditional German bierhalle, the food is overcooked and dry. Specifically, the pierogis were overcooked and the potato pancakes were almost inedible. I'm here now and the music is some weird pop mix, not traditional German music. Stopped in for beer and lunch. Das Pils Pilsner and Tiki Tour New Zealand Pale Ale were great, but I also really liked Fond Memory Brown Ale. Had a pretzel that was fantastic, and a good sandwich. Also our table split the Black Forest Cake, which was excellent. Inside, the decor is modern. QR Code ordering is a nice touch, and that led to us getting more items since it was so efficient. Update: Stopped in with some friends on a Thursday at 3pm. They were slow, but people started rolling in around 4. For drinks I ordered the Bramble On, Tiki Tour, and the spicy Italian sausage sandwich to eat. Both beers were great, and an improvement on their selections on opening weekend. Bramble On was a blonde ale with raspberries which had the fruitiness of a sour, but without the bite. Tiki tour was a New Zealand pale ale that was fruity and hoppy. Both great The sausage sandwich I had was also great - they included different fries than last visit but they were perfect. Sausage was good - not huge, but flavorful and good peppers and onions on top. I ordered the spicy sausage and it actually had some good heat. Bierhall continues to be a great spot, and so far the beers are good. I'm going to keep going back read more

Decor/service: kind of a bland decor inside. The picnic style seating works for a place like this but the benches are very uncomfortable. They do also have some tables around the outside of the bench area but not many. Close to home... went once and we're looking forward to checking it out! Ended up sitting behind a pillar with no TV access which was a bummer but it was doable. Aren't fans of bench style seating. Started to order via our phones when waitress told us it's not needed we could just order through her... I'm sure she was just being helpful.. a plus! Ordered a beer flight and had no idea 3 of my 4 selections were sour beers which I'm not into at all... had a pretty bad 1st experience, but that's me...won't knock em for the brew. For our liking, far too loud... all hard surfaces so sounds amplify... Three strikes! The first time I was there was about two months after they opened. Food was just OK and overpriced for what you get, but I figured I'd give them another chance in a few months. The second time they were out of just about everything on the menu, so we just got up and left. Just recently, we were there for a third time and it was fairly busy but there were 4-5 smaller tables open. The problem was, all of them had dirty dishes piled on them. After waiting for about 5 minutes for someone to clear the tables and not seeing anyone who worked there except for the bartender, we just left again. I probably won't be back. read more

Not a fan. The chairs are all very uncomfortable. I guess that some people like ordering only through an app, but there is no opportunity to ask questions. If you want water, that's self-service too, and warm. The fries and the cucumber salad were good. The pork schnitzel was paper thin, tasteless, and dried out. I've eaten it in Germany and this wasn't it. No one ever asked us how our meal was. This is more like a fast food restaurant. No personality. AMAZING. This place is the best thing that could've happened to this area in Lancaster. Everyone is so friendly and attentive. The set up is great. The beer is exceptional. And the food includes fun shareables at great quality. And the FRIES! I'm a foodie and I've never ever had fries like this.
