They understand why people will step through their doors, and perhaps sometime in the past 2 and a half centuries, they realized they can monetize their history for a ridiculous amount of profit. The result? A unique, classy, delicious, EXPENSIVE, coffee shop experience. The price is justified by the extreme level of service and the very comfortable, historical, and fancy interior of the cafe. It's humungous, too! The attendant in the bathroom waiting to assist you (for whatever reason) is an interesting touch. While I personally believe that these prices are still ridiculous (hence knocking it down a star), a one-time visit to this place is warranted for those who want to be a part of this cafe's history.
