Bar Arbolada has become a staple in the downtown area! They make fire drinks but it's always packed and loud! Their fries are nice and crispy! I've heard great things about their cheeseburgers but they're just good! They're more on the homemade vibes though! The staff is usually very kind and helpful! They're trying their best making drinks

This place is a nice little spot for after work drinks and/or a quick bite to eat. Every time I drove by here I never really saw many people here, but I swung by after work and to my surprise it got crowded with regulars pretty quickly. lol I have seen there burger mentioned as one of the best in OKC, I wouldn't say its quite at THAT level but it's pretty good. If I were downtown and wanted a good burger, I wouldn't hesitate to come here for one. I'd skip the pimento fries. Idk if we had the fries on an off night or something, but they had a weird taste and texture to them, like they were taken out of the freezer and cooked in a convection over or air fryer, instead of being fried normally. Overall, it was a good experience and its a nice place to hangout with friends for a bit after work, get drinks and chat for a bit.

This place is the type to go and have a late night burger and a strong drink. Best burgers in OKC in my opinion, nothing too extra just the right amount of ingredients.

This restaurant is amazing. The building itself is on the corner where you get a good view of Oklahoma City. Usually, you'll park across the street and it's just a quick walk over. When you go in, it's a smaller restaurant, but with a cozy intimate vibe you order at the counter, so we started off with drinks the drinks itself for fairly priced and very good. We decided to order the smash burgers with the side of fries and their prices for this, were absolutely amazing. A 7 dollar double smash burger is an absolute steal with a side of fries being 3 dollars (I think) the service itself is something I wouldn't write home about and that's ok, you aren't there for the service, you are there for the vibes. As a whole we loved this place and definitely will be back!

I loved my first visit to Bar Arbolada! I went for happy hour with some friends and it was such a cute spot! The star of the show was absolutely the smash burger. I ate it in a few bites and then I was tempted to order five more. Best burger in OKC that I've tried so far.

I came on a Saturday night for drinks. It's a pretty small bar but we were able to sit in a booth. I tried a Paloma which was good! Service was great and the inside is cute. Very vibey and a fun spot for drinks

Agree prob one of the best burgers in Oklahoma like the famous review. The beer selection is local and good craft The outdoor seating is nice as inside is loud at times One less star because the staff is hit or miss The female bar back is a miserable person who shouldn't be in service . One guy bartender was super friendly Service is hit or miss Will return

Love this place for a late night bite! The prices are so good- the grilled cheese is $2. I love the vibe here- dark, laid back. You do have to order at the bar and it was open seating when I went. The drinks are really good as well.

Beer and a shot! I know you can get it at any bar, but I think it's cool that Bar Arbolada actually has it on the menu. You get a can of their Beerbolada and a shot of whatever well booze you want. I enjoyed it immensely. The hamburger I had was good with a nice char. No frills but very tasty and the price is right. They were out of pimento so I didn't get to try the pimento fries, but the regular ones weren't bad. The vibe for me wasn't exactly comfy. It was loud even though it wasn't busy or crowded. The bartenders were competent but not very friendly. It feels like the routine of order at the bar, get your drinks, get your number probably gets easier after you have done it a few times. For me as a first-timer though, I would have been lost without my daughter there to guide me. She's a regular and she loves it but I felt a little out of place. Come with friend and/or a group and you'll be fine.

Great atmosphere, fun 'tenders, delicious simple food. Burger comes with a lot so if you're not into that, just let them know.

This place DOES serve the best cheeseburgers in the world. The thin beef patty has crunchy edges in a soft almost Hawaiian bread roll with mustard, ketchup, onions, pickles, and melted cheese for only $7. Fries cooked to perfection are crunchy and salted to suit everyone's taste. Their $5 dollar House Daiquiri is a refreshing a steal deal. Counter service only, so be prepared to check the menu, order and pay at the bar, then they will deliver your order to your table. They also have a pretty good spirits and brews list. We were not disappointed and if we weren't just visiting , we'd be regulars like my son and his family.

Alton Brown was right -- Bar Arbolada has the best burger in OKC. The gold rush whiskey cocktail is a great match to an amazing burger.

I got out of my Uber, and I saw a couple walking into the main building. One would assume that everyone is there for art and passes by thinking nothing of it, but I knew there was a secret entrance waiting to be found. I tipped my Uber and walked in. The couple was gone, and all that was left were closed shops in a long wooden hallway. In the Hallway was a man in normal clothes. He said, "The lounge?" Yes, I replied, and he asked for my ID. I showed it to him, then he pointed to a black box on the wall with a moon sticker on it. I pushed it, and the wall opened like an Indiana Jones movie. First impressions are important, and I was impressed. The hidden entrance established the secrecy and exclusivity that I expected from a speakeasy. The Lunar Lounge featured a 1990s retro space theme. This included decorations and art. They had their business logo on the wall, a mural of a naked women sitting on a crescent moon with long red hair covering her private parts. There was a robot-shaped snack machine with a mini tube television for a head, static on the screen with angry black electrical tape making his eyes and mouth. The music was energetic without overpowering people's conversations. Calling ahead of time, I met with a bartender who explained to me that they had no intention of becoming a speakeasy; they wanted to create a safe place for their friends who were part of the LGBT community to express themselves out of sight of public view without fear of judgment or discrimination. Basically, meeting every requirement of a Modern Speakeasy. The owner did a good job creating a convivial atmosphere. People were friendly and socially warm in this relaxed environment. According to the Annuals of Tourism, "Convivial atmospheres are powerful in that they carry with them a transformative potential in terms of individuals' openness to and anticipation of future encounters, and their attendant feelings"(Rokka). The Hosts, therefore, created an Atmosphere catered to their intended Patrons. Even though the secret entrance and the atmosphere made this speakeasy impressive, the focus is on the drinks. Now, a bartender does not need to be a master at mixology, but for the sake of the evaluation, there are a few things people tend to look for in a drink. I personally evaluate a cocktail based on the balance of sweetness, acidity, bitterness, and aftertaste. According to the International Entrepreneurship and Management Journal, "mixologists, with their aesthetic approach, contribute to transforming mixology into a form of cultural and creative expression" (Creta). I ordered a sophisticated drink from their menu, wondering what they might do differently. I ordered their Cosmopolitan, a signature cocktail. Instead of putting one shot or two shots, the bartender put a shot and a half. This made the alcohol blend in with the sweetness, not too sweet, so that someone would not drink it too fast. With the cranberry juice, he added a space candy garnish shaped like the moon, and as it dissolved, it started to dye the drink blue. After I finished the drink, I ordered it again from a different bartender, and she made it the same way. I saw consistency; all their signature cocktails looked cold, full of artistic expression, and used high-quality ingredients. Now, an argument I would consider valid concerning Speakeasies is: "A real Speakeasy is a traditional hidden room within a restaurant or cave with formal attire and with jazz music." And to a point, I would agree, but at that time, cave networks were maintained, and Restaurants were a family business where you could make a secret room without corporate overreach or whistleblowing. Those places were modern at the time. Today, Speakeasy simply means to go somewhere to drink away from the general public to speak easily. This could be two construction workers getting off work to go to an exclusive place where most union workers go to relax after work, to a private room where two politicians talk shop out of earshot of the public, or to a restaurant turning into a bar after business hours and bringing in a DJ, karaoke or actual theatre. All of these activities meet the constantly changing environment that would and could be seen in a speakeasy. Ultimately, the Lunar Lounge succeeds because it captures the cultural purpose of a speakeasy, with secret doors leading to a convivial atmosphere and well-made cocktails. Based on my data and experience at the Lunar Lounge, I would consider it a modern speakeasy. The 18th Amendment wasn't just about stopping the sales of alcohol. It was about stopping people from expressing themselves in America and spreading cultural influence. The Lunar Lounge met my basic evaluation of a speakeasy, not just the physical building, but also the Freedom of Expression that its customers enjoyed.
