Date night at Bar Arboloda. We thought we better go out last night in advance of the winter storm. We went early around 4:45 and there were three other people there. By the time we left the place was nearly full. Arbolada is a great neighborhood bar. Located in a historical building it is charming and cozy. A wonderful bar to have drinks with a small menu to satisfy your appetite. I ordered an Old fashion and Jan ordered an expresso martini. The happy hour prices for the old fashion was $7. The expresso martini is not a happy hour option. It was $12, and it was excellent. I never order them, but always taste Jan's. This was the best expresso martini I've ever tasted. For food I ordered a chicken salad sandwich. It was good and I enjoyed it, but I'm not a fan of chicken salad with grapes in it. Jan ordered a hamburger that was very good.. we shared an order of pimento cheese fries that were excellent. The prices are good, the noise low. The atmosphere fun and relaxed. This is a fun place. The drink menu is good for mixed drinks, but it seemed like the beer menu was lacking a little, especially with having a burger as your specialty. The burger I would give a 8.5/10. It was cooked great with awesome flavor. I was hoping for a little more cheese/saucy flavor and that's why it wasn't a 9/10. This burger ranks as a top 3 in OKC currently amongst our burger testing group. If you want a good burger and are downtown OKC I'd definitely try this place out! read more

This place is a nice little spot for after work drinks and/or a quick bite to eat. Every time I drove by here I never really saw many people here, but I swung by after work and to my surprise it got crowded with regulars pretty quickly. lol I have seen there burger mentioned as one of the best in OKC, I wouldn't say its quite at THAT level but it's pretty good. If I were downtown and wanted a good burger, I wouldn't hesitate to come here for one. I'd skip the pimento fries. Idk if we had the fries on an off night or something, but they had a weird taste and texture to them, like they were taken out of the freezer and cooked in a convection over or air fryer, instead of being fried normally. Service pretty friendly and it's cute inside. I used to love coming for a late night burger and fries, but the burger has changed immensely. It used to be a smash burger, but this time I went the thick burger patty barely filled 2/3 of the bun. It was also very dry as was the bun. I dunked it in ketchup to eat it. Super mid double cheese burger. Patty was over cooked and had one slice of cheese in the middle. But it was cheap so there's that. Drinks were good tho. This restaurant is amazing. The building itself is on the corner where you get a good view of Oklahoma City. Usually, you'll park across the street and it's just a quick walk over. When you go in, it's a smaller restaurant, but with a cozy intimate vibe you order at the counter, so we started off with drinks the drinks itself for fairly priced and very good. We decided to order the smash burgers with the side of fries and their prices for this, were absolutely amazing. A 7 dollar double smash burger is an absolute steal with a side of fries being 3 dollars (I think) the service itself is something I wouldn't write home about and that's ok, you aren't there for the service, you are there for the vibes. I've been visiting Bar Arbolada when I'm in the area for event in the evenings and this is becoming a routine! I love the casual upscale and chic design of the bar with bar seating, small tables, and large booths which accommodate parties of different sizes. Their drinks are great with occasional special drink menus throughout different seasons, but I love the burgers and fries here. It's basically all they offer on their food menu, and they do it so well!! The service tends to be rather slow on Saturday evenings when they get pretty busy, so it helps to plan ahead! read more

Today was super disappointing. No clean tables, increase in prices, over 30 minute wait for a burger and fries. Not to mention told couldn't make Bloody Mary spicy, with Tabasco sitting right there at the well. I'm happy to support local businesses and this has been a staple of ours for months. Beer and a shot! I know you can get it at any bar, but I think it's cool that Bar Arbolada actually has it on the menu. You get a can of their Beerbolada and a shot of whatever well booze you want. I enjoyed it immensely. The hamburger I had was good with a nice char. No frills but very tasty and the price is right. They were out of pimento so I didn't get to try the pimento fries, but the regular ones weren't bad. The vibe for me wasn't exactly comfy. It was loud even though it wasn't busy or crowded. The bartenders were competent but not very friendly. It feels like the routine of order at the bar, get your drinks, get your number probably gets easier after you have done it a few times. For me as a first-timer though, I would have been lost without my daughter there to guide me. She's a regular and she loves it but I felt a little out of place. The thin beef patty has crunchy edges in a soft almost Hawaiian bread roll with mustard, ketchup, onions, pickles, and melted cheese for only $7. Fries cooked to perfection are crunchy and salted to suit everyone's taste. Their $5 dollar House Daiquiri is a refreshing a steal deal. Counter service only, so be prepared to check the menu, order and pay at the bar, then they will deliver your order to your table. They also have a pretty good spirits and brews list. Just fyi...This was one of the loudest places I've been. There were a lot of people there before an event, so it was crowded - doesn't necessarily bother me, I was just surprised. I have to eat gluten-free and the person taking the order told me they could not guarantee that it's gluten-free because it's a small kitchen. One of my favorite bars in Downtown Oklahoma City. Place is always buzzing with energy and serves incredible food and great cocktails. If you are looking for a bar review you may want to skip out on this one. I am not much of a drinker, nor is bar life my style. However, I heard Bar Arbolada has some amazing burgers so I had to give it a shot. Bar Arbolada is another fast casual restaurant that provides a unique atmosphere being a corner store bar. Open till late at night the bar offers you the best of both worlds. Beers to mess you up and burgers to sober you up. The order to table time is quick and snappy, which is perfect when you're looking for a late night meal. The burger itself is smash patties that are surprisingly juicy. You also don't get the greasy feeling from the burger that you may get from a Tucker's or Five Guys. The fries were crispy and decently seasoned. Nothing special, but also nothing wrong with that. Overall was a solid experience. Only critiques I had were seasoned related. Although the burger was juicy the patty itself had no flavor. Nothing really to hold on to or savor in the moment. Another smaller critique I had were the onions on the burger. I did not order an onion burger, however, if you are going to put any onions on a burger do not dice them. If you do make sure there are a lot of diced onions or you do not get to enjoy that bite you get from the onion. There were so few onions on my burger you might as well not even put them on there. Why 3 stars? My scaling may be a little different from other reviewers or friends and family you may have. I tend to view average as 2.5 stars, so I do see Bar Arbolada as an above average fast casual burger joint. However, I've definitely had better burgers and fries in my day. No matter, if it's late night and you're downtown and looking for a place to eat Bar Arbolada may be a good choice. Most of my reviews are one take reviews. Vibes and drink selection were great A group of friends and I made a point to stop by and try the very hyped up burger Mine came out first, plain and dry and no seasoning on the patties at all. Thought that was very strange considering all the excitement around this place. The cook was very embarrassed when I mentioned this and said they had a new guy in the kitchen. About 10 other friends got burgers after mine, all had no seasoning and were very bland. Can't understand how anyone would think this is one of the best burgers in America let alone OKC. I want to believe this was just because they had a new guy in the kitchen on his first day, but maybe do a few trial runs with a new employee when you really only serve one meal. We came here for a nightcap after a dinner. After gazing at the menu and seeing the cheap prices and hearing about the high quality food. We decided to push through and order a second dinner. Came in on a slow Wednesday night while in town for work and had an exceptional dinner, and great service from the bar - when I asked about non alcoholic options the bartender enthusiastically offered to make a mocktail, which was watermelon based and delicious. The bartenders here are rude and unprofessional for no reason. When asking for drinks and food they seem bothered to have to do their job. Even after ordering being stared down the rest of the night by the guy with a beard and long hair was the funniest part of it all. After reading all the negative reviews about him I'm surprised he's still employed. Oh and check your tab before you leave they happily tipped themselves.
