Fun spot for a night out with friends. Thursday nights are Ladies Night and all martinis are $5! I tried 3 flavors DivA, Effen Good and The Star. My favorite was The Star (Bedlam, passion fruit, pineapple, vanilla, lime and sidecar of bubbles) We also ordered the spinach artichoke dip w/ chips and the fried calamari. Both were so delicious and perfectly cooked. The service was quick at first but towards the end I think our waiter forgot about us because he took a very long time getting us more water. I really enjoyed the patio since the weather was perfect! I can't wait to go back. read more

This is my first yelp review. This place is so bad with party hosting that I had to come on here and warn people. I had been in contact with Kaitlyn since May about hosting a bridal shower here. That is 8 months in advance to the date we needed. She and I talked regularly, including the week of the shower. We show up to the restaurant and no one, not even the manager, knew what we were talking about. The tables weren't prepped, the buffet wasn't ready, mimosa station, nothing(these are all part of the contract). We had to help them set up the whole room and get everything ready. Fast forward to the end, the manager walks up with the check and they're charging us for 23 people (we only had 19) and no discount despite putting us to work. Also, charging us for two waiters. There was not a waiter in sight the entire time.. we picked up our own dishes. She then begins to blame us saying that it was our fault for booking it in the sugar land location. The contract and every single email showed the Katy location. Kaitlyn just booked the wrong place. Not to mention, no one could get ahold of Kaitlyn. She wasn't even there and wouldn't answer her phone. Long story short - after 30 minutes of them fighting us blaming everything on us, they changed it to 20 people and gave us $200 off. That's it. The manager was so rude. She has so much attitude and not a single apology from her. Not one. I really don't recommend hosting anything there EVER. I will say their food was incredible, so it's definitely a good spot for a quick meal. Anything more than that, it's a hell no from me. Attached a photo of the tables. No one was picking up plates. This is the first time I've visited Bar Louie since pre-Covid. Back then I was not really impressed with their menu and service. The family and I were trying to find a happy hour spot close by and we decided to try them. I must admit I was apprehensive, but I went because it's in the neighborhood. We sat down at a high-bar table and looked at the menu. I can tell write off they've improved it. I've always remembered they had good cocktails which were well-made and fresh mix ingredients. The wait staff was very accommodating and the head chef (sorry, I forgot her name, but she's very nice short dark hair) came to our table and personally gave us a preview of the updated menu and the restaurant itself. We didn't know they had music on Saturday and game night on Wednesday which is a nice for family, GNO or couples date night. We ordered the salmon sliders, which was so delicious. I couldn't believe how moist and juicy they were. Also ordered the beef sliders, which were also good, and the chicken Garlic Parmesan wings. I ordered the lemon drop, which was so good and made with fresh lemons and ingredients. The other cocktails we had were also well-made. I'm excited to come back and try more items off the menu. So give this place a try if you haven't in a while. You'll be impressed with their updated menu selection. read more

Bar Louie was a good time as we went for happy hour, which is from 4-7pm, on a Monday. The martinis were 1/2 off so that was a steal. I got a lemon drop and he had the rock-a-rita, which he raved about. The service was good as the bartenders were attentive and quick. I also enjoyed my salmon sliders too. read more

Without fail this place always disappoints, it takes forever to get a waiter, and when you finally get one you don't see your drink for about 20 mins. (It's not that busy). The service is far below sub-par but unfortunately the only spot close to the crib that's open late.... After this visit i'm done with giving this place the benefit of the doubt... Great place for drinks. I can't speak for the food (yet). I have now been to Bar Louis 3 or 4 times. My first visit my wife and I left early because the music was at +95 dBA (measured on my phone app). On my last visit was in post COVID-19. Now the noise was way down. La Cantera- Cinco Ranch Katy, TX has a gem---Bar Louie located next to the AMC movie theater. It is a rather large restaurant with parking located in front of ample outdoor patio seating. Patio is equipped with bar height tables and chairs, patio cushioned seating, and heaters spread throughout. There's a sign to seat yourself at the entrance. You're always greeted at entry. Make certain and ask for Chelsea, the bartender. She was friendly and you'll definitely enjoy her down home personality. Although I keep water with me, she insisted I have a glass of water infused with cucumbers and a straw to keep me company as I waited. I've visited twice. The first visit was seated on the patio on a perfectly great day and the second visit was for a to go order inside. Each visit there was never a long wait for our delicious orders. I've enjoyed fried calamari, shishito peppers, voodoo pasta, and roasted veggie flatbread. As is the name, there is a bar in the center of the restaurant as well. This place is definitely a keeper. read more

Ladies night is only Thursdays, not Fridays - the night we were there... They have a sign out that says $5.50 ladies night but does not have a day/date or time. After speaking to the manage about it, he did not want to do the right thing and change the price advertised, instead he asked, "what do you want me to do take the sign to the back?' I said yeah I guess so, so he takes the sign to the back!! The restroom is also a mess!! It was an experience and not a good one. The server I think may have tried but we had to wait 5-10 inbetween getting our drinks and they really weren't that busy. So we decided to try out and see what this place was about! Clean environment,...and then everything else was down hill! We sat at the bar...Sunday afternoon not many people in the place....yet the customer service was at it's worse ! Bartender was so busy on his phone texting that he didn't acknowledge us! I've always been a huge bar Louie fan, best neighborhood bar. I do think the newer staff needs a lot of work. The vibe last night was completely off. Our waiter took forever to bring drinks because he was playing around the entire time with another coworker (twerking, goofing off) I honestly don't think he ever put them in... it took us a long time to go to the bar because my husband really did not want to sit at the bar. Once we made it to the bar I watched our food order sit in the window foreeeveerrrr. :( I didn't want to believe it was ours until I saw her grab it and bring the cold food to us. They should be more customer focused because yesterday was a mess from the moment we got there... as of lately only the original employees are giving quality service. I am not sure what happened to bar Luis but my daughters and I went in there for a simple drink and bar snacks. We sat directly at the bar. There was only one bartender within 20 minutes. The only thing he did was hand the menu and never came back.. this was during the Texans game on a Friday three weeks ago! The bar was not packed at all. We love getting Mac and cheese as a comfort food but here it just didn't taste right for $11.00. Had that and the All Nighter burger. My wife had the strawberry margarita and it tasted like juice only. For $10 that's a rip off. I spoke to our waitress and she said she would make it right. She did...she put a little more tequila in there. At the end of the meal upon receiving the receipt I noticed I was already charged for a full shot of tequila. Update: It got hilariously better! (Not sarcasm) My better half was craving a pretzel during quarantine. I was craving their strawberry lemonade sangria so I said let's try it out. We ordered from Bar Louie over the phone. Unfortunately they couldn't make any of their sangrias or their orange mules, but they were able to get us a kit for a basic Moscow mule. We ordered their pretzel and potstickers and waited the requested 40 minutes. We trekked the 30' to our order it was ready within 5 minutes of calling and saying we were there. Our order was correct and tasty and I had fun being the bartender at home. About 10 minutes after arriving home, we get a call from a number I recognize as Bar Louie. The woman (wo)manning it all says, "I forgot to include your complimentary chips and queso. Would you like to come back and get it?" Who am I to turn such an offer down? She's coming toward the door as I approach the outside patio with a to-go container topped with a beautifully wrapped roll of toilet paper. It was way too funny not to post. I'm forgiving Bar Louie for its past mistakes and giving it major props for making our Sunday night even better during quarantine. I look forward to visiting when things return to normal. read more

Bar Louie has great food that's definitely different if your looking for fun tasty creative food ideas , the drinks are also incredible as far as not your basic drink menu... food and drinks get 4 stars , however if you go to Bar Louie just be prepared to wait and not be in a hurry to have your food or drinks brought out to you in a timely fashion , you will have to def be patient and enjoy the atmosphere... it's a nice place to go with friends read more
