I learned of this place after moving back home to Atl., after having lived in NY & LA, combined for 25 years. I was taken there on a first date. We sat at the bar. I loved its eclectic mixed (blk/yt/st8/gay) vibe from the jump. Nice booths, cute bar tenders, great (blk soul inspired) music with a DJ on Friday nights. I have returned a few times since then (usually with out-of-towners), that know Atl from back in the day (i.e. late 80's/early 90's, school daze era). So its a good place to reminisce on old times and its nestled in the 4 Seasons, which is great! Hence its expensiveness. After my last couple of times there, I realized that you have to treat this place as a special occasion venue due to these costs. You literally "over-pay" for everything! - Valet is $12, with validation (plus an option to tip). Good luck finding street parking in that area. - They offer options of still, sparkling, or mineral water - which, that alone leaves no room for ordering tap. Who pays $9 for a 32 oz. bottled water on an ordinary day? - Food is equally high AF. Without going into an extended run-down, altho truffle and a decent size for 2 ppl., french fries are $18. Brussels sprouts are $15. They both were great. I wanted to order a salad but couldn't see myself paying $35 for it...($19 salad + $16 xtra for chicken breast). Jeez. Yes, I can more than afford it - but why?? Lol. - Drinks are in the same range. My drink of well tequila, lime juice and simple syrup was $15. Not a full bottle, but "a side" of ginger beer was $3, making my well drink $18, total. On my last visit, my friend and I (including tip), spent $100 for two apps, 2 drinks and water. We left there and went to AGAVE, 10 mins away in cabbage town and got full for the same price. They also had valet, but it was optional to pay for it. Leave Bar Margot for date night only. I never heard of this place until a friend of mine a recommended it. So I decided to take her for dinner to this restaurant. The restaurant is great and has sofa's and tables so you can request what you prefer. The staff is really welcoming and they are very caring! My server was Yannie (I think you write it this way) and she was AMAZING!! Very knowledgeable about the menu and took her time to explain the ingredients. For an appetizer, we order a oyster mushrooms (no shown) but they were really delicious! They were sweet and not chewy. What I loved the most was the fact that our waitress saw that we were missing the sauce or oil that goes on top and she ensure that it was made accordingly. I had a lentil beef soup and it was good very well done but a bit bland and she agreed and ensure that it was removed and never took offense to it. But the best part was the Octopus ! OMG! This dish is to die for! It was very filling and light. Not heavy at all and the tomato sauce with the sautéed potatoes at the bottom made the dish incredible! I think that I could have eaten another one but I would have been a pig! I highly recommend this dish as you could taste the freshness, the sea and the different flavors. I had to let the waitress that I give the Chef standing ovations! I also had an old fashion (not shown) and my friend had that fruity drink. For dessert, my friend order the key lime pie and I ordered chocolate moose. The key lime pie had pieces of lemon zest inside which made it very delicious. My chocolate moose had a layer of dark, milk and white chocolate with whipped cream. Very good and I could have eaten about 10 of those because it was not sugary and it was the right amount of chocolate balance. You had a chocolate party in your mouth as you could taste the three different types of chocolate. The most memorable moment for my friend was when the staff brought my friend her dessert with a candle and she loved it as they also wrote happy birthday on the plate. Talk about Guest Services and creating a memorable moment. Overall, I think this restaurant deserves a 10 stars but I can only select 5. Staff were very friendly. Music was louder than expected which made it difficult hearing my server, whom was VERY polite. Mushrooms, Brussels Sprouts, and Lamb were all very good. Pretty cool spot inside the Four Seasons Hotel in Midtown ATL! Was staying next door at the AC Marriott and my friend was getting married a couple of weekends ago. This was the place that was chosen for us to celebrate in the nights leading up to the wedding. The first night (Friday) was very awesome as our group got the comfy corner area near the entrance and had a great time. My friend came in and went, hey Andre, I just saw Charles Barkley and there he was just a few seats away from us...he was nice enough to let us get a snapshot. I hadn't eaten so I ordered the Crispy Brussel Sprouts which were phenomenal as it included pumpkin seeds and dried cranberries. Hand cut fries were delicious as well. The next night we came by, our group was bigger and occupied both corners of the entrance. Good spot, but the only problem with the group growing is confusing of the bill of course. People walking over to the other side and ordering just confused the hell out of the young server which is more our fault than his.The Au Revoir was my drink of choice during the 2 visits and I got everyone to join in on that drink as well...it was a hit! It includes cognac, rye, sweet vermouth and gran classico...so good! If you go to the bar, the service can move pretty slow when it gets busy (expected) as the mixmasters are perfectionists and they don't hesitate to throw out a drink thats not up to par. I came to Bar Margot while visiting Atlanta for a short 30 hour (just for fun) trip and I have mixed feelings about this spot. I came solo for a drink for an hour or more... then later was met by five others for dinner. This is what I DIDN'T love about it: - The ambiance is great. It's beautiful in here, dark, sexy after sunset, and the furniture and finishes they picked for it feel rich and in line with what I'd expect from the Four Seasons. But I hated, the TV. The glaring TV, throwing a bright light over the whole room, playing football, is totally, totally out of place. It's so out of place that it was often distracting (think: having a nice dinner with a strobe light going in the background). This is what I LOVED about it: - The bubbly (and wine) selection is on point. I really enjoyed drinking my way through the selection. - Prices are (not cheap), but in line with my expectation s. So I was happy. - The wait staff was SO AWESOME. I had the best server who was so attentive and made sure my glass was full. - The bar snacks they provide with the drinks were awesome. It was a (free) selection popcorn, crackers and beer cheese arranged nicely on a plate. The beer cheese and crackers reminded me of fancy Handi Snacks. And that just.. made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. - I always love having the option between still and sparkling water. - The DJ comes out on weekend nights - My favorite dinner dishes: the brussels (omg, so many of them, piled high, and so crispy and delish), the scallops. Bar Margot is located on the second floor of Four Seasons Hotel. My friend and I visited Bar Margot for their $5 Wednesday Burger. Complimentary valet parking is available from 11am to 2pm. We arrived right at 11am. There was line for valet, but it moved fairly quickly. There was another line at the hostess stand. Again, it moved quickly and we were seated in a matter of minutes. They have seating indoor and "outdoor" which is just outside of the restaurant, but still within the hotel's indoor space. My friend and I had a heavy breakfast right before we came. We weren't that hungry, but wanted to see what the burger hype was about. The burger alone is only $5. Sides are extra. They also advertised a seasonal milk shake along with it. We each only ordered the $5 Wednesday burger which came with house grind beef patties, brioche buns, American cheese, red onions, whole grain mustard, mayo, and bread & butter pickles. $5 for a burger inside FSA is quite a deal. It was thick and flavorful. Definitely filling. The service was great. Our server was friendly and attentive. She kept our glasses full. Decor was high end and beautiful as expected. read more

Removal of some really good items, wasn't able to try anything because the kitchen closed by the time waiter came back. Super negative: DJ. He's spinning some great tracks, but WAY. TOO. LOUD. Literally everyone in the place was putting their face next to someone else to talk, you can't hear the people at your own table. My boyfriend secured us a reservation at this restaurant for Valentine's Day 2021. It was inside of the 4 Seasons hotel in midtown Atlanta. FOOD: I had the steak, mash potatoes, and crab. It was delicious, but for the price point, I could have gotten the same thing at Red Lobsters and enjoyed it just the same for less. They had a specialty drink for Valentine's Day that was really good. I'm not sure if they do one regularly, but I'd try it if you go. SERVICE: Our waiter was nice, but the service was sort of subpar. We were told that the wait for food would be a while, so like any other sane human, we ordered drinks. It took 30 minutes to get us our drinks, which defeated the purpose of helping with the wait time of the food. We should have been on our second set of drinks by the time the food came out, but they arrived seconds apart. ATMOSPHERE/COVID: It was beautiful indoors. It has a really elegant look. We went the day before Valentine's Day to avoid the rush of people, but that didn't help. The place was packed and to be honest, the seating wasn't COVID friendly. We were way closer than we needed to be in my opinion. PARKING: What parking? It was Midtown so there was no parking unless you pay. We walked over from my boyfriends apartment, but if not, we would have taken a Lyft. Overall it's a good place for drinks, if they arrive on time, but that's about it.
