Came here for drinks before our dinner reservation and it ended up being such a fun spot. I'm not usually a martini person, but this place has my favorite martini ever, the Teeny Tiny Extra Dirty Martini. The briny flavor was perfect and the smaller size kept the drink ice cold the whole time, which honestly made it even better. The olive and pearl onion garnish was also a great touch. I ordered the happy hour special with the Teeny Tiny Martini and fries since I wanted something light to snack on, and it really hit the spot. Besides the Extra Dirty Martini, we also tried the Pepperoncini Martini, which was my second favorite. We decided to be adventurous and ordered the Pizza Martini too, but that one was a miss for me because it tasted a little too bitter. I ended up getting a second Extra Dirty Martini though, so that says everything. We also tried the zucchini chips, which made for a really refreshing bar snack. New cocktail bar on Orchard Street. Large windows in the front creating a very open atmosphere. They have lots of tables outside and very intimate nook inside. Three beer options including two drafts and a can. All sessionable options. Handful of wine options too but the focus is certainly on cocktails. Staff was very nice, understanding, and equitable. We had a mix up and they went above and beyond to do right by me. I didn't try any food during my visit but I would return to try. The menu seemed to be mostly influenced by Mediterranean cuisine plus the quintessential cheeseburger. Lots of competition on the block, but their kitchen smelt great. Handful of vegetarian options too. One gender neutral restroom which was spacious and handicap accessible. I had an amazing experience at Bar Valentina after a work event. I wandered in and Naija took great care of me. She had great recommendations (&nails). I sat on the patio but went inside as well, it's a cute vibe wherever you sit. All my drinks were 10/10 and the burger and fries were as well. I will definitely be back! read more

Came to this bar for their teeny happy hour special. I must say our waitress was great but upon entering our hostess, we're extremely rude. They treated us like we were under age teenagers. They quized me and my friend about our ID and had a nasty attitude when we tried to suggest feedback. The ambiance was very nice, it's a very small spot but that's typical for New York City. We sat outside and enjoyed their shrimp crudo and a burger. The shrimp crudo was absolutely divine. The fries needed a little more seasoning. The service was very sub par and it was hard to get the attention of the waitress - that was the only reason it's not getting 5 stars. Horrible experience; was denied service for claims of fake IDs but group was 23 and 24. Would be one thing to just get denied but it went as far as the very rude employee asking my weight which is not even something on my ID. If I was insecure about my weight this would likely be very triggering to have to announce my weight out loud surrounded by a group. Was just very clear the waitstaff was lazy and did not actually check the ID and to top it off were incredibly rude. Have seen similar reviews about waitstaff being rude and not addressing the tenants. Even as we approached she did not greet us. Not sure the employee's name but she was wearing a red long sleeve and at the very least should be retrained on customer service and how to properly check an ID. Further saw her later letting in large groups of young (definitely could have been under 21) looking people without looking at a single ID. The horrible service would not be worth whatever lackluster food or drinks they offer when there are better bars with kind waitstaff right next door! (Dudley's, Sunday to Sunday, Eel bar, etc.). Will certainly never, ever be returning and encourage people to give their money to the surrounding businesses instead. read more

busy friday night so the 90 minute wait for a table was fine and acceptable. but to wait 90 minutes for the table and then not get drinks served at all a full hour after ordering? our food order came out. we finished the food. and still no drinks when it was all placed at the same time as the food. asked the server multiple times to check on our drink order. all other tables near us were being served drinks but still no drinks for our table. only when we self advocated and escalated directly to the manager did any action come to. second star added because the manager comped the food and offered to comp our initial drink order from an hour earlier (we declined--why stay somewhere that's already lost your trust in a city filled with bars happy for your patronage). otherwise waiting at a table a whole hour for no drinks to show up at all is ridiculous despite whatever "bar meltdown" happened behind the scenes. shouldn't the server have resolved this even if the ticket was lost? even the bouncers were shocked that a drink order placed an hour ago was not filled at all. is one drink per customer at a table for 2 too much to ask? not the service we've had in the years of coming here. very disappointing. read more

We had two cocktails and a water and he started calling us names and saying we were rude to not wait at the bar while he made it, when we were being polite by letting others order their drink.
