Came here and got my back adjusted, felt MUCH better afterwards. Barbara also adjusted my knees, and that helped out a whole lot. My job is very physical and im just in general very active. I was able to experience much relief! The session was quick and comfortable, and I was also taught some new stretches in order to better aid my body. Barb is so great! I was drawn in by all the great reviews, and now I have to add to them. I had never seen a chiropractor before, and I was nervous to do so for my neck, shoulder, and back pain/posture issues. Barb is truly so sweet, and her gentle yet effective treatment helped to ease my fears. It's been a few months since I've started seeing her, and I always feel great afterwards! She also has given me a few exercises to help in between treatments in hopes that I won't have to come as often - the sign of a practitioner who truly cares about the wellness of her patients. I would highly recommend Dr. Reitz. She is friendly and very knowledgeable - a seasoned professional. She's helped with ribs out of place, wrist, ankle and knee issues and my back of course. I have gone to her for at least fifteen years now and will continue even though I moved to northern Marin. I've been seeing Dr. Reitz for a number of years now. She covers Kaiser insurance which is one reason why I started seeing her but I've continued going in for adjustments because she is absolutely amazing at what she does. I come in for adjustments because I work out and my job requires heavy lifting at times so they're basically tune ups I get every couple months. Not to mention the fantastic mini massage she gives you prior to the adjustments! She also has given me a number of tips over the years with my shoulders that are slightly rounded and with my neck/back problems I've had in the past. All in all she's fantastic to work with, very personable and above all I trust her with the adjustments she makes. That's not always easy to find with a chiropractor. Strongly recommended! read more

Barbara Reitz has CHOSEN to not treat anyone with Medicare, even if Medicare will not be billed but you are willing to pay out-of-pocket. The office and the website will try to make you think that they are COMPELLED to reject Medicare patients by an act of Congress, when really Congress gave Barbara Reitz the OPTION to treat you or not. The website and the office staff offer very misleading information. I wasted a lot of time and suffered a lot of pain only to be rejected at the door. read more

Barb is an excellent chiropractor with a warm, caring personality. I have been going to her for several months now and she is very, very good at what she does. After my first visit with her where she adjusted my neck, shoulders and back, my vision actually got sharper. I was amazed; I felt soooo good. One time, she was feeling around my neck and asked me if I head ache. I did indeed have a very bad headache. She said something like, yeah, your C-2 is out. Then she adjusted it and my headache vanished! I was shocked. And thrilled at the pain relief. Recently, I told her my right wrist was hurting -- probably from clutching a computer mouse all day -- and she felt it and adjusted it, then did my left wrist and it feels so much better now. Barb is one of the only chiropractors I know who applies heat for a while to you, then gives you a massage for a few minutes to loosen up your muscles, then adjusts you. It makes so much sense to do it that way, but I only know of one other chiropractor who does that, and he's in Manhattan and he doesn't do the heat, but does recommend that you get a little massage from his shiatsu guy in the office before your treatment. I highly recommend seeing Barb for an adjustment. Her office is in a little office park in Mill Valley right next to Whole Foods and the post office, and there is plenty of parking in the parking lot. And she takes my insurance plan! read more

I had just moved to Mill Valley and was a mess after the move with a newborn and a 2 year old. It's always a risk choosing a new doctor of any sort, but this office is superb to say the least. Whether fixing strange numbness that had been going through my arms for weeks, a tweaked neck from carrying car seats, or simply needing to be readjusted, Barbara and Deborah are the best. There's a nice little ritual they do each visit before the adjustment and give great advice at the end of each session to make sure you're on the right track to healing. It's nice to feel your chiropractor is actually doing something to heal your body instead of trying to get you always coming back. You can also schedule feasible massages at their location. Simply put, Barbara is the best! I've been seeing her 4+ yrs and she is super kind, knowledgeable, and her technique of heat, massage, and adjustment works really well. I've been going in every 3 weeks for routine maintenance as I am 55 and active playing different sports. Barbara has recently suggested that I go 4 weeks between adjustments. Highly recommend. I've been seeing Barbara over the past couple years and cannot recommend her more highly. Every time I walk out of her office I feel lighter on my feet and clearer in my headspace. She doesn't try to push sales like a lot of other chiropractors I've been to - who seem to immediately want to sign you on for 10 more sessions after your first one. She's totally realistic and honest about what your needs are, and if she thinks you need a re-adjustment after a week she'll tell you, but if she thinks you'll be fine for a while she says to call when you need it. On top of it she's a really nice and interesting person - she's makes you feel completely comfortable in her office, and totally taken care of. Barbara is fantastic! Not only does she do magic but she makes you feel so safe and comfortable, as if you're visiting with a friend. I started seeing her when I wasn't able to walk due to some health issues and after just one adjustment, my pain was basically gone and I was able to comfortably walk and to the exercises to help the injury. I found Dr. Reitz through a coworker when I got into a really bad car accident back in June of 2016. When I got out the accident, I was in so much pain that I couldn't walk or bend my body in any way for weeks, one of my ribs is also permanently out of place. That was when I heard of her, So I went to see her and we have been treating for a year and now I am able to exercise like normal. She is by far the best chiropractor I've ever had and I have been going to difference chiropractors since I was a child. I love the heat treatment she does and she is the only chiropractor who does that, which she then follows with a soft tissue massage before she goes into the adjustment. I am so grateful to my friend for recommending me to Dr. Reitz!!!! I had been absolutely MISERABLE with my former Chiropractor, Dr. Paul at Upper Cervical Chiropractic of Marin. While I will explain why Dr Paul was a horrible fit, I want to begin this review with why Dr. Reitz is the best chiropractor I have had in the 13 years I have visited. Dr Reitz: -begins with heat on your back -massages your back and neck to loosen up the muscles -feels and assesses your body prior to adjustment in addition to checking everything over afterwards. -She will do her absolute best to fit you in; especially in times of great need. -She has several therapeutic massage therapists in her office should you need them. She never pushes them on you; they are just there should you need it. -ample parking -Both she and her receptionist are kind, comfortable and empathetic. I have recommended Dr Reitz to several of my friends and now they too are loyal patients. Thank you, Dr. Reitz! I am lucky to have found you! DO NOT VISIT DR PAUL AT UPPER CERVICAL CHIROPRACTIC OF MARIN!!! My family and I had recently relocated from Seattle and I took a chance on him based on proximity to my home's location. I knew from my first visit that he was a terrible choice. I am surprised that he is still in business! He treated me like a paycheck vs an individual. He told me I needed 40 visits per year upon our first visit. Really? It turns out another friend was told the same thing after their initial visit. This is when I knew he did not care about me but rather my money. He also rushed me in and out. I was placed in a dark room with only a towel on my back before he came in and adjusted my upper neck. That it! No checking my body's alignment, no adjustments to the rest of my spine or limbs; just that. He was rude, egotistical to top it off. Bottom Line: Horrible doctor and person.
