Alia was so patient with me on the phone as I waffled back and forth. I hired her without ever working with her. I live in NYC and would not be in Savannah again until the week of my wedding. I set up a hair trial for the Tuesday before my Friday wedding -- it was a big gamble! The salon did not have many if any photos at all of examples of their bridal work. I was having trouble finding a good stylist in Savannah who could do natural hair. I found them on Google and just decided to take a chance. The hair trial went very well. I showed up 15 minutes late but she was understanding. I went right to the chair without a wait. 2 hours later, I knew Alia was up to the job! We both decided to go sleek and chic with my hairstyle. She had no problem taming my curls. On the day of the wedding, she was completely supportive when I told her that I wanted her to tweak a few things about my trial hairstyle -- I wanted my hair not to be as pin straight because it became too slippery and fell out of the style very quickly. I knew I needed more body if I wanted my style to last me for 9-10 hours of wedding festivities. I also wanted to change the front of my hair to make it an elegant side swoop instead of a poof on top. She was on time and completely a calm and soothing presence. And most importantly, se pulled together a BEAUTIFUL hair style in less than 90 minutes. Everyone loved it. I felt so old Hollywood glam! Monique offered to fix my hair in Saturday, which she did and I love it but she charged me for the style and the hair rinse that she used to correct my messed up dye job...I refused to pay the rinse fee but I am utterly insulted that she would charge me for her mess up and not offer any sort of apology for the mess up.

The staff is amazing, their work is gorgeous, and the rates are very affordable. I got married in November 2009 and only cost me $65 (included a trim cause I needed it, a blow dry since I went with my hair wet, and the actual bridal styling). It was only $35 for my SIL's styling. It's always a little nerve racking to get a haircut at a new place for the first time, but I really like the cut I came away with and will definitely go back. Towne is in a great location in mid-town and not to far from where I live -- so super convenient! We had to pay out of pocket AGAIN for another cut and strip/recolor with a competent stylist. Stylist was rushed, stuck another haircut in the middle of our appointment, started 30 minutes late, and ran out of color. Save yourself the tears. Go somewhere else.
