Had an amazing time!!! We were driving back from the snow and decided to go in here. The best decision ever! It had great vibes and atmosphere. The guy that showed us our spot and the rules also showed my 11 year old how to throw an axe. I was not expecting my son would be much good at it. Turn out after he saw how it was done he became a natural. So for any newbies out there don't worry it can be done. It's a big space are! They do sell alcohol, not sure how you will throw after but hey they have it. This place is more fun than being out in the cold! Can't wait to come back to it! read more

We had such a great time at Yosemite Axe Throwing! From start to finish, the experience was awesome. Our host, Mark, was absolutely fabulous--friendly, engaging, and made the whole thing even more fun. The wait time was minimal, and once we were set up and went through the safety course, it was game on. The place serves great beer and wine, which was a nice bonus. Food options are limited to chips and jerky, but honestly, they hit the spot. One of the coolest extras is that they have TouchTunes, so you can control the jukebox right from your phone and set the vibe while throwing axes. Overall, such a fun experience--we'll definitely be back for more fun soon! read more

Set a 'date night' for us to come here for an hour tonight and we had so much fun. Mark was great and we had a blast trying to beat each other's score and try to get the higher bullseye spots on the target. Mark helped us throughout and was available for any questions. This was only our 1st time in an axe throwing location - we did it once at a Huntington Beach festival. I wish there were a few more axes to throw- each lane had two. And my ma went to pull one off the board and it came apart - but now I understand that's usual. He probably wished there was a bar - but after seeing how fast the time flew - buying one drink each was perfect. So - definitely worth it- an hour of fun, nice people and great experience. First timers and it was such a fun experience. I can not remember our instructors name but he was so awesome. He was super patient and just great vibes! Our 8 year old loved it and we will definitely be doing this activity again! Space is spacious, doesn't feel crowded. They have drinks available and some food. Came in to do a little axe throwing on a whim. Best decision we got a beautiful lemonade, seltzer, and a cherry sour. Got my dairy air handed to me from my beautiful wife. This place is amazing! Good tunes, great service from Mark #29 in the world and they had a nice military discount. I've been to a few axe throwing spots and the axes used here were sharp and sturdy, barely any missed shots. Great spot to visit if you're in Big Bear. read more

For several years we've enjoyed taking our grandkids to Yosemite Axe Throwing. Our experience began in Mammoth when we they experienced so much snow we couldn't ski, so we found this to keep them occupied. This year was similar at Big Bear. The February snow was horribly wet and we didn't want to ski. So, we went bowling and axe throwing. Mark was very welcoming and gave the kids a refresher on the safety rules. He makes sure that everyone has fun and is safe. Please try this when you're in Big Bear, its a blast! read more

Tonight was a great experience with Yosemite Ax Throwing. Emily was great, friendly, and knowledgeable. We arrived a bit early for our reservation and there were open lanes so she started us early. Emily explained the rules and scoring and we went to work throwing axes and chopping wood. It was three out of the four of our groups first time. Emily was great with our two kids and helped them get their throw down when they were struggling. They serve beer also!! All in all a great time and great experience. One of the best axe throwing venues I've been to! When it isn't busy, you and a partner get your own lane. The targets are nicely soaked tree trunks (instead of plywood at other places). We also had 3 different axes we could try. Plenty of parking in their lot on a Saturday 3p. I had so much fun, highly recommend if you're looking for an warm indoor Big Bear activity! read more

For my first time axe throwing I was so excited to try out Yosemite Axe inside Big Bear! To keep yourself warm and out of the cold, enjoy a full hour ($30) of throwing and shoulder toning If you're a first timer like me, ask for some tips and tricks from staff. I found it easiest to really follow through on your throw and not let go too late. For 2 on a Saturday evening (4pm) there was almost a full house! If you have a bigger group (6+) playing, there's a $5 discount--$25 per person. The service here is amazing and faculty is really nice! The phone number listed on their website is reliable and their website is easy to navigate to book a reservation. It is recommended to book online to reserve your hour. Every time my group of friends and I stop in from out of town, we always have a good time here. I've gone here with as many as 11 other people (with 3 private lanes) to just five people at opening. The nice thing about going when the place first opens up is the fact that it's never too busy and sometimes you're the only customers there. It can make you feel like you have the whole place to yourself lol. The instructors are very helpful for those who need assistance and they never make you feel dumb for asking questions. Also filling out the liability and safety waiver is also a breeze. This is a must do activity for anyone looking to try something different around town while working up a little sweat in a non traditional way. No matter what age you, what experience you have or what skill level you are, anyone can learn to throw axes and have fun here. read more

I called to let them know we're running late and the guy helping me on the phone was very nice and said not to worry. When we finally arrived it was not too crazy, but filling up. You give your ID to keep on file and they go over the different throwing methods and how to change the background screen where you're throwing. I thought this was really cool! There's also alcohol/drinks available for purchase. There are also pinball machines in the front and a rage room in the back that looked like something I should be doing lol. Even if you're not in an axe throwing mood, being able to hang out here and play pinball or drink is really cool too and the location is perfect because it's in downtown Upland next to everything. Marc, the owner, was very nice and kind. He even allowed me to do a special request where I wore an outfit (which is a Morpshuit with t-shirt and shorts) underneath the gear used for the rage room. Very kind of him to accommodate this. I have never done a rage room before, so it was a unique experience. Shattering glass, and breaking things felt very liberating and it helped me release tension/anger. Additionally, at the very end, there was even another surprise where Marc even taught me how to throw ninja stars on the wooden board. It was super cool. At first, I couldn't get any ninja stars to stick, but on one of my final attempts, I actually did get the ninja star to stick, which was awesome!! I was pretty elated that I was able to do that! Anyways, shout out to Marc the owner for being very nice and accommodating. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a cool, friendly place to do a rage room or an escape room. Also took a while before someone came out to help (I think they were in the back assisting maybe another customer?) but some signage would help. - Waivers could be sent prior to arrival to save on time since it was a google form - staff could be more welcoming and better at explaining. I understand it may be sketchy to go to a customer's car to evaluate items brought from home since it could be a risk to the staff, but I think it could either be instructed earlier before arrival OR simply just state that you cannot leave the business. The delivery of the comment made by the staff was not very smooth (almost felt like implying we were bringing something bad or wrong). - A timer inside the room might be helpful as it's hard to keep track of time once you're destroying things. - Phone "mount" could be better secured with a clasp or something because one bump and our phone fell on the ground where there's shards and scraps everywhere. This could have easily scratched the phone. - Room felt cramped, but understand that may be limited by the size of the store space. - Half of the group was arriving late, in which I shared upfront and thought that the staff would assist in getting them as ready as possible before our first group came out to swap, but when I came out, I saw that they had not even begun to change. I understand the face shield and gloves are limited quantities, but they could have started fitting in the other items like jumpsuit and face coverings. - Also as we were swapping, I ended up giving the second group the instructions when it really should have been the staff to give them the run through. It felt very disorganized during the swapping. For the price, I think it would be nice if each group received at least one larger item and not just cups, plates, and glass. All-in-all, it was fun to let out some rage by wrecking things and not having to clean it up. My friends and I did enjoy this different experience. Also fun to watch them from the room cam inside the Axe Room as they rage.

The park is well-maintained and the city has invested a lot of money and time into keeping the Park updated and continually making changes based off of the needs and requests of the community. There have been a few changes in the past few years here. The dog park is closed but it is my understanding that the city will be reopening it again over by the gazebo area. The skatepark is closed and the covered courts area has been expanded to where the skatepark used to be. Yucaipa's main skatepark is over next to the high school off of 13th street. The new covered area is now home to 4 permanent pickleball courts which makes for an amazing space for youth who may not have their own nets yet and for anyone to come play in the shade. Yucaipa Pickleball Club reserves these courts for club play through the city. Club hours are generally in the mornings and the 4th Saturday of the month. What I have experienced at other public aquatic centers is that their staff is usually very rude and arrogant, especially the lifeguards, which is not the case at this facility. The staff was great and prices are very reasonable ($3 for kids/$4 for adults). The lockers were very clean and there was plenty of parking. Given that we have only been there a couple of times, I have experienced enough to be able to rate this place as 5 stars, especially considering that our kids really enjoy swimming here during public swimming sessions. From my understanding, they have swimming classes and other swimming events here, but we have not yet experienced them. Overall, a great place to beat the heat!
