Pretty cool place to get experience some axe throwing! They also have corn hole and giant jenga off to the side for people to play. There is no alcohol here, but they served mocktails, sodas, and soft drinks for about $3-5. It's pretty fun for about an hour, there's a chalkboard for you to keep score. Definitely more fun if you are competing with your friends! Wear tennis shoes! Axes could fly back at your feet if you throw hard enough at the board and it bounces back at you! read more

What a fun place! This axe throwing place is great for upper body workout as well as removing aggression and stress. Haha. This place is a blast -- it's a laid‑back, good‑vibes kind of place where you and your friends can toss axes, play casual games, or just hang out for a fun time. The only reason I didn't give a full 5 stars is bc they don't serve alcohol, but that's just for me but I can see why they shouldn't serve alcohol lol kinda dangerous if ur drunk. We had so much fun! Got here at 3:00 on a Monday and had the place to ourselves. Wide assortment of weapons to choose from and Patrick was super informative and friendly. It's a great space - clean and spacious. I tried one of their mocktails which was tasty. I'm not too sure why some people get down on this place for not serving alcohol- throwing weapons around is pretty fun in itself and doesn't require liquor to enhance that. My wife and I have been axe-throwing one other time in Lake Tahoe and it was similar, but with some notable differences. Here, the wood target is not an actual slice of log, so it was sometimes more difficult to get the axes to stick. However, here there were two types of small axes and both were much more fun than the hatchet we used at the other place (and couldn't make stick at all at the other place). Here, there is an absence of alcohol and food, but they do have snacks and mocktails. Gavin did a good safety briefing and helped my Mom feel more comfortable. At $30/person/hour, it's a reasonably affordable way to experience something new in the area and have some fun. read more

Maybe I'd visit again if I pregamed beforehand. I don't recommend going if you haven't memorized any line dancing choreo. It's pretty challenging trying to keep up with the regulars. It's still fun to dance with friends though! I think it would have been a little more fun if they served alcohol. I don't even drink often, but in a place like that, you definitely need to loosen up before going if you're not usually brave enough to get on the dance floor and make a fool of yourself. We came here for a Valentine's Date and it was so much fun! It was the first time here and we were just so excited to try something new out for date night! Check-in was really easy they had you sign a liability form, and then you have someone to coach you through how to safely and properly throw the axes . Each lane comes with like a table top and also a bar top that you can sit on you can order drinks or snacks at the snack bar. There wasn't too much to choose from so either either you got to eat before you come or eat afterwards. They're very small snacks. Like chips and popcorn. It's not anything big at all. So it took a while for us to figure out how to properly throw it once we got the hang of it it was so much fun! It's really empowering and it's a really great way to just release energy and tension and just have a good time! We definitely will be coming back again! It's a pretty big space. They also have a dance floor cause I think they do line dancing here and I think you can also come here for like birthday parties other events. I think it's a great place to like come with friends or double dates or whatever. read more

Lots of variety with the axes make it fun. Lots of shapes and sizes. Great place to go for a date night, going out with friends, or work/school event. Would recommend checking it out! Tips: --you must wear closed toed shoes to throw axes --if you are struggling, make sure to ask the employees for help, they are very willing to give you pointers and help improve your throw --coaches accept tips so make sure to give em a nice tip if the service was good! What a fun experience! Looking for a little arm workout? You're gonna get it here after throwing axes for an hour the coach we had was nice and very understanding. My husband and I decided to take an impromptu date night but our sitter wasn't able to quite handle the wrath our child was to deliver! So being between needing to get home or staying. The coach was understanding of our situation and offered to refund us if we had to leave! I think this made the experience very pleasant! Special thank you to the staff for making my daughter's 15th birthday and absolute blowout success! I can't begin to tell you what a perfect venue this was for me to host her and nine of her friends. Not only did the staff help me figure out drinks decorating set up and overall experience. I am just thrilled to death that this venue is offering a safe haven for teenagers around this area to hang out. Have some fun do some line dancing and just celebrate life. This review is long overdue (ha! I rhymed!!) I booked a lane for me and some friends to celebrate my birthday. Booking and paying for us was an easy process. It's difficult to find as there was no large external signage to mark their spot but luckily we followed another group of flannel clad folks who were going in as well. (It's at the far corner of the desolate looking shopping center where Big 5 and We Play Loud are) It's a big space that's clean and well maintened with friendly coaching staff. We were greeted by Olaf, their resident dog, as the owners Kaden and Cory explained the safety rules and taught us how to throw. There are a variety of hatchets and axes to throw so if you're not good with one kind, there's still hope that you can hit your target with another kind. They have non-ETOH beverages for purchase as well as snacks, clean bathrooms and cornhole and giant jenga too! We'll def be back. This was my first time going to an axe throwing venue. I threw an axe over a decade ago at a wedding and nothing stuck. I wasn't sure how it would go this time. Having a coach was reassuring. Tristan (also known as Dirty T) was our coach and he taught quick lesson before we started chopping wood. Well, his lesson paid off after one of my throws stuck. He provided feedback during our session which helped us get better after each throw. My favorite axe was the "Big Bertha". So much power with one axe! We were a party of 4 and we each had a lane to ourselves. I'm not sure if that's the same if it was busy. I saw that you could become a member and throw axes anytime!!! This was a great spot! I came with two friends on a Saturday night for the line dancing x axe throwing deal. The dance floor is right in the middle and there's a side for line dancer to throw axes. Probably more like hatchet throwing; they're kind of small but definitely fun to try to hit the targets. I do a lot of line dancing and u came with two friends, one who's gone line dancing a couple times and the other who's never gone. The set up of the place made it easy for us all to have an activity or something to do! The music is varied and there's lots of line dances to all types of music - not just country! They play a couple swing songs every 5-6 line dances - for both country swing and west coast swing. No two step! Which I loved personally haha. I was able to teach my friends some swing moves on the side during the swing songs and the dance floor was big enough that it worked well for us! Crowd is definitely on the younger side - since there's no IDing. Great energy. Lots of different line dances than I was used to but not too hard to pick up some of them on the floor. We were surrounded by patrons on both sides of us who were reckless and being very stupid - one party was very drunk and kept throwing all the axes at the board; the other kept throwing hard but terribly and their axes kept bouncing back and got very, very close to our feet. One of the biggest venues around, with a TON of axe throwing lanes, cornhole, an entire side with black lights, music, and a snack bar (soon to have an actual bar.). This is my second 5-star review for Whoop Axe but this time I'm reviewing as a "party planner." I planned my husband's 40th birthday party last weekend for just family and friends and they made it so easy to plan! Email communication was timely and answered all my questions in detail. They allow outside food/catering for no additional charge, I was able to bring some decorations in (giant marquee numbers, tablecloths, small banner) and my own axe throwing games and prizes. All staff were so friendly and accommodating. Our instructor (I forgot her name!) made sure all the guests understood the rules and how to successfully throw an axe. We had 13 adults, 3 young kids (7-10 year olds) and 2 newborns. There was a giant Jenga and corn hole for the kids to play but they were more interested in the open dance floor area where they played majority of the time. They also were attentive enough to play a Disney movie over one of their screens (no audio) for our little guests. Overall, we had such a great time! Very very very fun spot in the wayyyyy back of a plaza. There's normal axe throwing, and then there's glow in the dark axe throwing. On a slow night, you can do both if you ask the staff nicely. I forgot the name of the staff member who was there, but he was super cool and tried really hard to make his long shift enjoyable, which we in turn enjoyed. Fun time.. we went mid week and received some special attention because none of us could get the throwing right. It's a fun place, no alcohol (prolly a good reason for that), they have waters and sodas, and you can bring in birthday treats (we brought cookies, but I'm guessing cupcakes are ok too) - just call ahead.
