Three's a charm! Just as it can be hard to find a good barber you really like, it can be hard for barbers to find a shop that sufficiently recognizes, rewards and respects their talents. So it's very exciting to see my long time barber finally start I shop of his own with two very talented colleagues. The new shop has three partners and this is the third barber shop where Emanuel has cut my hair over a number of years, so three really is a charm. Emanuel is an excellent barber. He's exceptionally talented with his scissors and knows how to give a great cut. Every once in a while I need to remind him: "a little longer in front since my head is shaped like a peanut," and he does his usual perfect job. I have been getting hair cuts and coloring from Peter for almost20 years at Paul Mole. Peter along with two other barbers were forced to leave. I will follow Peter to Mars if he opened up shop there. Fortunately he opened a sparkling new shop just several blocks away. It is cleaner more modern and just a nicer environment. I totally stumbled upon this place after checking Yelp while walking around town looking for a place to get a haircut - I guess the stars were aligned ..... This place in amazing - super friendly and professional - and alas they carried the shaving creme that I use at home but can not always find...... this place provides great serve at a fair price and the espresso was a welcome treat on a rainy New York morning. My Barber was Marina and she was a very nice, attentive, caring woman who cut my hair with gentleness and precision. The whole shop was a calm and soothing environment. They even offered me a drink (next time I will happily accept).
