    Custom full 3 inch exhaust.

Barbee Auto installed full 3 inch exhaust engine to tips. I can't say enough great things about this company. They completely the job as promised, the care of the customer is happy, and the do quality work. You just don't find companies that still care about the customer the way Barbee Auto does, it honestly caught me of guard by how helpful, honest, and responsive the were. I will 100% be doing all my muffler work here and will recommend Barbee Auto to everyone.

Tbh I never leave reviews, but when it's this bad all I'm trying to do is save the next guy. It's crazy to see that this place with a 5 star average. I guess if you don't care about your car it makes sense. Took my Corvette in to get a new over axle pipes installed. I asked if they work with stainless I was told yes, which they do but most people buy stainless to keep it from rusting... well at Barbee's you are guaranteed rust. My tips were crooked as can be, rusted to hell, and my shifter wouldn't even shift. I left it another day to get it fixed, when I showed up the tips were still crooked and my shifter still felt like crap. To be honest after the second time it should be fixed, you don't get another chance. I tried to see if they would help me get some new tips, all I wanted was a $200 refund from the $600 I was charged and they wouldn't do anything to help. Where I work... if you mess up you take responsibility for it and help the customer out, at Barbee's you get screwed. Check out those awesome welds, hopefully that helps you makes your decision.

    Problem 3

Saw this place had decent reviews and it was next to my office so decided to give it a shot. Probably won't ever go back again. I dropped my Jeep off promptly at 9am and told the guy either the catalytic converter or exhaust manifold was clogged, got a call 30 mins later that confirmed what I thought. I asked when the car would be ready, was told by end of day. Problem 1: Imagine my surprise when I called back at 3 only to find out it would not be ready until 2 the next day. I live near the airport (25+ miles away) so I quickly had to scramble to find a rental. Problem 2: Picked up the Jeep Saturday only to find black oil/grease all over the driver seat. Still trying to remove the stains. Problem 3: Swore I heard a rattle, looked today to find they misplaced the exhausted hanger and then put a bolt in between the skid plate and frame to keep it from touching. In summation, I spent $1000+ to get my car back a day late, pay for a rental car, stain the driver's seat with oil/grease, and then spend 45 mins under my Jeep fixing a lazy install. Otherwise the work was fine.

Outstanding company and great service. I got a quote over the web, and appointment next day. I arrived on time and they finished 15 minutes earlier than the quote. I waited in an air conditioned wait area with TV and Wi-Fi. Staff is very pleasant and professional. I can't recommend this company strong enough.

New Cat Converter with badass welds.

If you ever get that engine light on and you find out the error code, and it has anything to do with EVAP systems, cat converters or whatever. Take your car here. I had gone to 3 other places who were treating my older car, which was running great, like it needed an EVAP system overhaul with all new manifolds and every part you can think of. Great owner, James, who is responsive and helpful with any question. Great mechanics on site, the most fair price for awesome work and easy, simple experience. Dropped my car off, older year (2006), with an banged up and old cat converter. I had bought a new one and they allow you to bring in purchased parts, make sure it's the right process, and it was installed and in 4 hours, I had my car back with the engine light off and a pure fix. Will return for any other service issues I have!

Ten Stars Super nice people. Put on a complicated carbon muffler and new exhaust manifold. Other garage couldnt do it and charged me 300 bucks just for wanking off. This place did it perfect for the same price the other place charged. I love these guys. All of them are really nice. New exhaust sounds great.

TLDR; Amazing, just go. Make an appointment so you don't screw anybody, but great customer service,…read morequality work, and legit prices. After a "check-up" at my car dealership, the dealership listed a number of "immediate concerns" that needed to be address and would have cost a pretty penny (basically, oil change, tire rotation, wheel alignment & balancing). Hesitant to just sign on, I took my car to Dave's to confirm that these concerns were indeed immediate and would indeed cost the amount that the dealership estimated. Gave them a call to give the list of "needed services" based on my car dealership, and they were great about fitting me in quickly. Also, am going on a hefty road trip soon, so they added a free trip check. After the trip check and basic inspection, they did identify that there was a slight alignment issue. The other things didn't need to be address, but I decided to just go for it because of the trip, low cost, and it'd honestly have to be done at some point anyway. What I really appreciate was the fact that they communicated these things with me, showed me numbers that caused the "issue", gave me a reasonable price and let me make the decision for myself. They're great, honest people!

So that's kind of odd. It's obvious that the mechanics don't drive the car after they've repaired it because that light was shining in my face the whole way back home and I don't see how they could've missed it. They also tried to sell me a bunch of other repairs and serviced, which were probably not needed. (I'm on a very limited budget). I appreciated the info and simply turned down those other tasks which I could either do myself or postpone for another time. I think the lesson learned is if you have an old car and you're on a limited budget (and aren't we all) watch out for suggested repairs which are simply based on the estimated age of the item or a maintenance schedule, and not an actual malfunction. I've attached the email chain in four pictures. As you can see in there, I explicitly told the technician that the car was brought in for oil pressure problems, and the oil pressure light was coming on. Also, I should add that since I received the car back the engine is running smoothly, but not a single drop of oil has dripped off the engine so I'm pretty sure there's no oil leak. In any case, a small leak would not prevent me from driving the car however, the oil light being on all the time would prevent me from driving it, and I don't think the car should've been handed back to me in that condition.

I dropped off my car, and Mark quickly called me back to explain what was needed and provided an estimated cost. By 4:30 PM, it was ready! I hope the mechanic stayed warm--I happened to choose one of the coldest days in Austin for my service. When I arrived at 6 PM, right at closing, Mark still took the time to explain the issue and how it was fixed. Thank you for your excellent service! I'll be recommending you to everyone. In fact, I found out about you through a friend who goes to All Tune Auto.

And who among us has not felt they were taken advantage of when the bill arrives? Yup, unless you're mechanically inclined, it can be tough to know if the repairs are legitimate. After getting suspiciously high repair estimate from my friendly local dealer (whose name I won't mention to protect the guilty), I looked for a second opinion and found All Tune on Yelp. They were busy but were able to get me into the shop a week later. Well, it took all of 15 minutes to determine that I didn't need any of the recommended repairs. All Tune took the time to show me the parts in question and treated me respectfully. They also looked up my service schedule and let me know when I would really need to perform maintenance. Even more, they didn't charge me for their time. I'll be bringing my car back to All Tune when I need service. These guys are the real deal, the bomb. Thank you All Tune! Highly highly recommended.

Buddha's Garage is the second one. Dave has the energy of a man who has looked directly into the screaming mechanical abyss of humanity and simply sighed, grabbed a wrench, and fixed it anyway. I swear half the vehicles in that shop arrive after being spiritually wounded somewhere else. Other mechanics will look at your engine like medieval doctors diagnosing ghosts. Dave looks at it once, tilts his head slightly like a jazz musician hearing a wrong note, and suddenly knows your alternator was installed backwards by somebody named Tyler in 2019. And here's the wild part: he's honest. Like deeply, suspiciously honest. The kind of honest that makes you uncomfortable because you forgot businesses could still operate without trying to sell you seventeen imaginary emergencies. Dave will straight up tell you cheaper alternatives, better options, things you can wait on, things you DON'T need. I almost wanted to ask him if he understood capitalism. The customer service feels less like a business and more like your truck wandered into a monastery where everyone took vows of kindness and diagnostic accuracy. Meanwhile other shops are out here playing roulette with socket sets: "Hmmm yes, perhaps your issue is... all of the parts." Then Buddha's Garage fixes it in an afternoon and somehow charges you like they still believe in human dignity. Also -- Dave knows an absolutely terrifying amount about vehicles. Not "guy who watches YouTube tutorials" knowledge. I mean ancient-library-hidden-under-the-desert knowledge. The kind where you start explaining the noise your car makes and he already knows the answer before you finish making the sound effect. At this point I'd trust Buddha's Garage with anything mechanical. My car. My lawn mower. A damaged submarine. If NASA called and said a shuttle was making a weird clicking noise, I'd probably hand them Dave's number. I'm going there no matter what.
