I was not expecting the phone call that I got from Cody the new manager at daves ultimate automotive. I had some brake issues with my 2010 Toyota Tundra and it would not pass inspection. Cody from Daves ultimate Automotive was kind, courteous, and professional and I felt that Cody and his team went above and beyond, fixed my issue gave me a rental provided a solution to the issue at hand and kept me updated every step of the way. I would recommend Dave's ultimate automotive to anyone and I will definitely be taking my vehicle to Dave's automotive for any future work I might need.

Dave and his team went out of their way to get my car back on the road. They communicated the type of service the vehicle needs vs my assumptions. What I thought was a fuel injector problem ended up being a messed up coil pack. Dude. That's awesomely honest. They asked if I still wanted to do the injector cleaning or they could remove the service. I attempted to do the repair myself but butchered it. Dave's team was there to rescue me and the work done is comparable to the mechanics at race shows. Super fast. These guys are beyond pros.

It's pretty hard to get five stars out of me, but this establishment deserves it. I've been working on cars on and off for 40 years and I usually do my own brake work. However, now that I'm older I have more discretionary income so I am willing to let someone else do the labor. Nonetheless, I'm VERY particular about the parts being used. This business uses some of the best made parts. I especially wanted Akebono brake pads used all around and premium rotors, not Chinese ones. Most brake shops do not use these brake pads which are definitely more expensive but well worth it. They also flushed the brake system using high-quality dot 4 fluid. All around new rotors, pads, labor and brake flush came to almost $1500 on our Accord. If you're a first time customer they'll give you 20% off up to $100. After doing a walk around and checking on the work followed by a test drive, I can say I'm very happy with their work.

Coolant fan. On other vehicle. Not the one worked on on that day.

And who among us has not felt they were taken advantage of when the bill arrives? Yup, unless you're mechanically inclined, it can be tough to know if the repairs are legitimate. After getting suspiciously high repair estimate from my friendly local dealer (whose name I won't mention to protect the guilty), I looked for a second opinion and found All Tune on Yelp. They were busy but were able to get me into the shop a week later. Well, it took all of 15 minutes to determine that I didn't need any of the recommended repairs. All Tune took the time to show me the parts in question and treated me respectfully. They also looked up my service schedule and let me know when I would really need to perform maintenance. Even more, they didn't charge me for their time. I'll be bringing my car back to All Tune when I need service. These guys are the real deal, the bomb. Thank you All Tune! Highly highly recommended.

This would honestly be such a valuable experience for a new driver to better understand what is needed and why. I never felt pressured into extra services at all. Everything was explained clearly, and the team was transparent throughout the process. The service was timely, the atmosphere was great, and the pricing was comparable to other oil changes I've had. I also needed a coolant flush and was able to use a coupon, which was a nice bonus. Overall, I'm very happy with the service and will definitely be bringing my other vehicles here too. It is to my great luck and joy that I coasted to a stop in the parking lot of Oak Knoll Automotive. When I walked in, I was greeted by Bobby, who spoke to me like I was his friend and communicated clearly what he thought the issue might be, how long it would take and approximate cost. There were techs buzzing around the bays hard at work, so instead of making me wait forever, Bobby went out and took a look at my car himself and got it into the garage out of the 100+ heat. I ended up spending a couple hours in the waiting room (which was thoughtfully decorated and had plenty to read or watch) before Bobby told me they needed to keep the car overnight. This morning, I got a call from Bobby first thing where he told me the plan for the day and when I should expect to hear back from him. Like clockwork, he called me back to let me know my car was ready and gave me a price breakdown of the repair work done. My car had died, and based on my understanding, I believed the battery was the issue. I had purchased the battery from this shop about a year ago and was told it had a 3-year warranty, so I came in expecting to have the battery replaced under warranty. Instead, I was told there was nothing wrong with my battery. The situation then turned into an issue with my alternator. I was initially quoted $1,500 for a new alternator, then $1,200, and eventually told Randy's "homeboy" could do it for $500 cash. I told him I didn't have $500, and he asked, "What do you have?" He eventually agreed to $200 cash. When I came back for clarification, I was told I was getting a brand-new alternator. However, when I returned, the same alternator was still on my car. I was then told that the positive wire on the alternator had been fixed and the alternator had been cleaned, and that was what the $200 was for. I was given a $0 receipt for the warranty battery, but no itemized receipt explaining the $200 cash charge. I left extremely confused and feeling like I had been misled about what work was actually being done. I don't know a lot about cars, but customers deserve honesty, clear communication, and documentation of what they are paying for. I personally feel like I was taken advantage of. Be aware of Randy and make sure you get everything in writing before paying for additional work.

Dave looks at it once, tilts his head slightly like a jazz musician hearing a wrong note, and suddenly knows your alternator was installed backwards by somebody named Tyler in 2019. The kind of honest that makes you uncomfortable because you forgot businesses could still operate without trying to sell you seventeen imaginary emergencies. Dave will straight up tell you cheaper alternatives, better options, things you can wait on, things you DON'T need. I almost wanted to ask him if he understood capitalism. I was a bit upset to see that it hadn't been worked on yet. I went to get a status update with the manager, and he asked if I had an appointment. I told him I had one at 8 AM. He then started looking for my appointment on his computer and told me he couldn't find it. I pulled out my phone to show him the reservation, but he still said he was having trouble finding it. His coworker chimed in and told him the number of the appointment. He then said that they had cars from overnight that they were working on first. I would have understood if this had been communicated to me when I arrived at 8 AM, but it wasn't. So, I waited for 3.5 hours, and my car was finally done at 11:25 AM. I paid and left with my invoice emailed to me. Please don't come here. They don't care about customer service or setting expectations. If an oil change takes 3 hours, they should at least communicate that to the customer. Many of us don't want to spend all day at an auto shop on our day off, especially since this was just for an oil change. To add to this experience, it was raining, and instead of parking my car in the covered area in front of the shop, they parked it in the parking lot. I will not be returning to any Firestone in Austin. This is the second store location I have tried, and I have left extremely disappointed. They don't respect your time, and if you arrive early, even if it's just three minutes before your appointment, they should also respect your time as you have respected there time by arriving early or in time
