Found a mechanic who actually shows up to work. Their price was better and the time to fix was less than a day. Vicks quoted 5 business days. I brought my 2019 Honda Accord Sport to Vick's Expertune Automotive after reading the P2820 (line pressure solenoid valve A stuck off) code using my own OBD2 scanner. I clearly told them the issue was with harsh gear shifting, yet they ignored my input and claimed the problem might be with the wheels. I have told them problem was not with the wheels. An hour later, they called saying "the mechanic felt it" and diagnosed it as failed transmission mounts, no actual evidence, just a gut feeling. They quoted me a ridiculous $1,928 to replace transmission mounts (attached invoice proves this). Frustrated, I took my car to the Honda dealer the next day. Turns out, the real issue was a transmission fluid leak, something serious and dangerous that Vick's completely missed. The dealer fixed it properly for only $300. Despite my clear input and the critical nature of the issue, Vick's failed to diagnose a life-threatening problem and still charged me $171 for bogus diagnostics. It's unacceptable for any mechanic to operate based on "feelings" rather than facts. This place is unprofessional, careless, and borderline scammy. I wouldn't trust them with a bicycle, let alone a car. Save your money and go somewhere that actually knows what they're doing. read more

Vicks expertune don't be fooled by the 4.8 stars, I Went in to get front shocks to my truck replaced and was originally told it was going to be $1,985.25 total. However, somehow when my girlfriend pulled up to pick up the keys & pay the tab it went up to $2,477. The owner Vick said there was a "glitch" in system and it hadn't added labor to the original total he had just discussed with me over the phone before her showing up. I trusted Vick until today, but no more. When I came to his office today I asked to do oil change but also to check the suspension for squeaking sound. Vick stated that my request falls under 'diagnostic' and it will cost me; however; he did not disclose the amount. Fifteen minutes later I met him outside his office and I asked him the cost for this 'diagnostic'; he replied $171. I protested that he did not disclose that at his office. Vick then asked me how much I'm ready to pay for such service. Wow; how the hell I can answer this question when I don't know anything about what this 'diagnostic' involves. So I did not say anything but I asked to cancel this procedure. Vick stated he could not cancel it because the procedure is already in progress; I pointed to my parked car outside and said 'no one yet did anything with my car! Horrible place to get your car inspected went in @10 didn't leave till 11:30 plus they said my head lights and turn signals didn't work but they do and wouldn't give me my keys and let me go back there to show them until I paid. Came to Vicks on word of a colleague at work. After a few repeated bad encounters with Pep boys.( Pepboys ended up using the entire wrong pads on my car) This place rocks. Three strikes you're out - We had 3 appointments with these guys for an alignment. We showed up to the first one and they had a another vehicle they had taken apart. They were waiting on parts to show up and it would be a week before they could reschedule. We should have at least received a call, but things happen and were understanding and rescheduled. Due to the first incident I reached out the second time before our appointment. They still were not ready and had to reschedule the appointment again the morning of. I let them know they need to at least call us the day before and reschedule. I as a customer should not have to chase them around when they are scheduling appointments. Yesterday I called again since these guys are so unorganized to make sure our appointment would be filled. Justin fielded the first two instances and I spoke with Dean the last phone call. He said he was unable to hold the appointment because he couldn't confirm he would be ready that it was first come first serve. I let him know I should have been told that a week and a half ago. This morning I get a very rude call letting us know we have been placed on a "no show list" after I was told last night our appointment wasn't valid....um what?! These guys need to get it together. If you are first come first serve, why are you scheduling appointments you never keep? Also why are you telling your customers you will keep the appointments then at the last minute telling them they can't honor the appointment, then calling them with a rude voicemail the next morning. This is 3 appointments later. We have been extremely patient and then a rude voicemail. We took our car to their competition right down the road (Brother's Alignment). They only charge $60 for the alignment and gave us fantastic service. Vick's expertise can put us on whatever list they want, but don't call my phone harassing me the next morning for your mistakes. I had to have my oil pan replaced because Jiffy Lube stripped out the drain plug. I called Vick's on Friday afternoon and they said to bring it in on Monday. I arrived at 7 AM and they were just opening, as they say in the advertisements. They got me in right away and within about 2.5 hours they called and said it was ready. Excellent service at a fair and reasonable price. They will have all my business from now on. I was quite pleased. One of the few places that allow you to bring in your own parts. Most shops I had called wanted almost double for the parts so their mark up for making a phone call and having them delivered by the vendor is pretty high. read more

Easily the friendliest oil change experience ever - this is how auto shops should be run!

I was recommended here by my girlfriend's family and came in to get a oil change. Dane seriously blew my expectations away as he was kind enough to give me frequent updates about how it was going, and then some. He also let me know what kind of oil my car took (synthetic), and even asked if it was okay to look at the air filters of my car while he was at it, free of charge! He told me the cabin filter wasn't too dirty and was "minimal," and that it didn't have to be swapped out quite yet, but that it would likely be a good idea next oil service. Then to top it off, he refused my tip! He simply said "just come on back next time you need service, or if something doesn't seem quite right, and I'll be happy to accommodate!" I'll definitely be coming back, and I HIGHLY, let me repeat myself, HIGHLY recommend his services. He's quite generous, knowledgeable, and honest; Everything you look for in a master mechanic. I can't believe I haven't written a review for Dane yet. I was originally referred to Vick's by a friend, way back in the day, when he was in a different location. That was at least 20 years ago. I haven't let anyone else work on any of my vehicles since. Dane was always there when I needed help, helping me in any way possible to make car repairs affordable. I trust him implicitly to be straight up and he doesn't beat around the bush. I know I'm a customer, but I certainly feel like I'm having a friend work on my car. I think the fact that I've been using Vicks for over 20 years, and....if you read more reviews, you'll probably find at least 20 other people who have been taking cars to Dane for over 20 years. I think that says something for his credibility, and his work ethic. In case you didn't get it, I DEFINITELY recommend talking to Dane if you need help with a vehicle problem. If he can't fix it, he knows someone who can, and he'll get the job done for you 99% of the time the right way the first time. I have to say this place was my first choice, until pandemic hit. I have been to this place every time I needed oil change or car inspection. I have a new car, still, less than 40.000 miles. Last year, 2020, I went to Vick's as usual to get my oil changed and he said I needed emergent brake pads changed, and that the situation was so bad that I should leave my car there and he would drop me off at work and he would try to help me with transportation arrangements somehow. I asked how long it will take for the pads to be replaced and how much would it be. He estimated about 3 days my car would stay in the shop and $400 plus the work, plus the time my car would stay in shop. I knew during pandemic things were rough for many businesses but you to take such huge advantage of the situation, it makes me really sad! I had my brake pads changed (different shop) the following day for $75 without leaving my car in a shop. And it was not life and death situation like you insinuated, Dane! Shame on you!
