I went to Discount tire for tire rotation the next week and found my tires were at 21 lbs. my headlight bulb was out and was not advised on this when I drove the car out of Labor only. Never have I been overcharged as much on a mechanical job. Although the job was done correctly and the problem was solved, the amount we had to pay was ridiculous. Over $2700. to swap out an $800 computer that was held in by 4 bolts and had 3 electrical connectors (all easy to get to). This could not have taken more than 10 minutes to accomplish. Wildly inaccurate over-quote on multiple occasions / vehicles / service type. Evan was my entire family's mechanic for two decades - never again - extended family, friends, veteran and service orgs notified to avoid at all cost. Most recent quote ~$7000: no part was marked up less than 100%, some as much as 800% - verified all were available locally for immediate pickup using premium OEM parts - all hourly estimates were at least doubled - all of this was verified against official Honda dealership, AllData and Mitchell service estimators. There is no way to mistake the absolute blind abuse clearly intended or that my trust was the only thing that emboldened such a malicious scheme. I am a disabled veteran on a fixed income and Evan wanted to do very serious damage to my future. Everything on Evan's quote - plus two more major jobs and one minor one - were all completed for $1795.04 including highest quality parts, labor (@$150/hr), and warranty - rough guess is if Evan had included those it would have been a $10,000 quote for work he darn well knew would appropriately cost less than 1/5 of his estimate. While the team there is very nice, unfortunately that was not what I was paying for, and they charged a LOT for what I paid for. My A/C was acting up, so I took it in to have it worked on, where I learned that my compressor and hoses were in bad shape. There were some incidental issues in getting to the compressor, but otherwise it should have been a standard replacement for my 2010 GMC Acadia. The cost ended up being fairly exorbitant, to a degree that I would not have had the work completed were I not in need of a working A/C for my vehicle for my kids. However when I took it home I found out that my fan was also acting up, causing a short that was causing the compressor to shut down. It seemed strange to me that the repair hadn't been tested to a degree where this would have been discovered, given that I experienced it almost immediately after leaving, leading me to have to incur additional time and repairs that could have been combined with the earlier work. I am not looking for dirt cheap shop work, but I ended up paying a lot more in comparison to the national averages, even allowing for the more compact nature of my GMC. While the A/C is working now, it's hard knowing that it came with such a hefty price tag that I no longer feel comfortable taking my vehicle to this mechanic. Have been knowing Evin for several years on the business side thought we had a good Repor. He has done work for in the past on my BMW was very pleased with the work he done. So I trusted him again and took my grandkids GoCart to him brand new to fix it. When he was done with the work on it he left it out in the weather and it got Deoxygenated. he had other scooters out there under a shed so that's why I asked him to work on mines, I told him I lived in an RV at that time and i him to hold on to it until I got out the RV. I then took him my 1977 Nova for a transmission overhaul while it was there a 248.00$ battery was replaced with a used battery. Long story short he stated it wasn't a battery in the vehicl, so I advise you to take pictures of your values that's left in your vehicle, he has some untruthful employees working for him. I am really disappointed in the way Evin handled this. You don't stand in another man's living room and call him a thief unless you ready to have a shoot out. I wished he had been fare. I can't believe you Evin as much money as you charge you should be more responsible. I am pissed the more I think about it. It's not you involved in the thiefer then you need to check your people. We have had nothing but problems ever since taking our car here. We had some one hit our car and scrape one of the bolts off the wheel. We had to have the whole wheel bearing replaced. They "fixed" the wheel, but now we have nothing but problems with the rest of the car the speed sensor is messed up, the abs light comes on and off, and the car is overall much more dangerous to drive. The car had none of these problems before we took it here. We took it back and they claimed to have fixed it again, but all these problems are still happening. This has caused problems for months. We took it somewhere else to have the speed sensor replaced and that still did not fix the problems they caused. We had someone else tell us that they most likely put our wheel bearing on backwards... Do not bring your car here unless you want to waste time and lots of money. read more
