I was cleaning and seeking to refurbish an older model TurboXL that my aging parents purchased 15 or so years ago. I went into the Pasadena location of BBQs Galore for advice and supplies. The guys on the sales floor encouraged me to replace the ceramic briquets that sit under the burners. However, the ones they sold me were the wrong shape, and when I sought to return them, I was told they could not be returned unless I had an account with Barbeques Galore. I had a valid receipt, and they said that condition was stipulated on the sales receipt, but there was no language to that effect on the receipt. This is an unfortunate misunderstanding I am working with the store's manager to resolve. The amount is small and the dispute minor, so I hope I can return to Yelp! and update my review. I spent almost $8,000 for an outdoor kitchen floor model and when I got it home the fridge was not cooling and the grill igniter was not working. I called and was told that the product was sold as is and that if I had an issue I would need to contact the manufacturer. I think they should have at least tested the items before selling it. I expected to have some blemishes and scratches from a floor model but a $3,000 fridge not cooling and a $60 dollar grill igniter part out of order. The manufacturer Mont Alpi made it all right, I called their area rep Jon and he had the fridge personally delivered to me by the company's owners. Mont Alpi sells a great high quality outdoor kitchen and backs their product with exceptional customer service and replacements. I highly recommend Mont Alpi and as for BBQ Galore, it would have been better for me if they made the calls to the manufacturer and did all that leg work, I think a little training could help. I don't think I will ever step foot in this business again. read more

I just bought a pellet smoker from them. It couldn't have gone smoother. They were polite and knowledgeable on the phone. When I went to the store it was immaculate and had an incredibly large assortment of grills and accessories. They showed me the floor model of my grill in case I had questions. They loaded it in my truck for me as well. Both the associates were beyond professional and friendly. I order a lot of stuff online. Next time I need anything bbq related I'll be heading to this Barbeques Galore first. read more

Shopped this store a couple of weeks ago. Really liked the Artisan bbq which had a published price at $2750. The sales person mentioned it should be priced higher but said he would honor that price. He didn't say it had a time stamp on that price either. Went back yesterday to purchase at the $2750 price. The manager said he couldn't honor the price that the salesman assured me I would get. I approached him and mentioned it's only $300 difference. What's the big deal right? I was given the salesman's word that he would honor the lower price. The manager wouldn't budge. I told him he just lost a sale! I would never return to this particular store! Giving your word is giving your word! Lost my business! Poor salesmanship!!!! read more

Helped me replace my grill propane tank hose right before they closed. Very helpful and efficient

Sales Associate Eric used the term "Ching Chong Ching" to explain an Asian person talking. It would be wise to train your WHITE employees in racial sensitivity. I will never return and if you are Asian, I suggest that you spend your money elsewhere. In your response to your comment, I will remind you that it's not slander, it's the absolute truth. Eric is denying his words because he's embarrassed for being called out for his racist comment. He is absolutely lying in denying what he said. He specifically was talking about the Asian telemarketers that call his house and when he answers the phone they say "Ching Chong Ching." If it makes you uncomfortable that your employee is speaking that way, you might want to have a conversation with him. read more

The Manager called me and told me they were able to get a warranty claim going. The part is going to get delivered in December. So about 3 months wait. The wait time is fine since I know there are issues in logistics. We'll see if they actually come through in Dec. read more

Lots of mixed reviews but I gave these guys a shot out of desperation (in terms of timing!). We were looking for a specific grill and needed it to be delivered before July 4th shenanigans. Carlos/Eric/Manny helped us out over the phone, coordinated the entire purchase without needing me to physically be in the store, and delivered the new grill 48 hours later. They offer a delivery/install/removal process that we purchased and it was speedy and professional. Their guys installed the new BBQ, set it up for us, and hauled the old one (and the boxes) away. Can't thank them enough, and we're looking forward to some good eats! read more

My fiancé and I visited Barbeques Galore with only one expectation; to leave convinced that a wood pellet grill was the way to go. After spending a significant amount of time learning about the variety of grills available out in the market, we've decided to weigh out the pros and cons of grills including gas and wood pellet grills. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Carlos and Robert were both very helpful and made the experience extremely enjoyable. Their experience with grilling was evident. I was trying to schedule a service for one if their own Grand Turbo grills and at my amazement they wanted $107.00 prepayment before they come out and another $107.00 for every time they have to come back. I'm building out an outdoor BBQ kitchen as part of a remodel. At first, I thought going through a place like Home Depot would be better. When I got around to ordering the BBQ, they were out of stock on almost everything; it's a seasonal business for them. So, I tried out BBQ Galore. I was so impressed! Three employees have each worked there over 10 years. They were all knowledgeable and helpful and I never felt pressured. I am sorry to have to write this review. We got our new BBQ there. The staff was very helpful and nice. The BBQ is great. We paid them $1000 for a slab of granite to go under the BBQ. We have not received it. My husband has called them numerous times. They always say they will get back to him. It's been a year and no one has called. Guess they stole our $1000!! read more

They can sell expensive products but cannot service them. They cant schedule an appointment for two days, but want to charge your credit card before they call back to schedule. Also asked lots of questions as to what was wrong as if one is a barbeque repair person. If I could answer the questions, I could probably repair it. read more

This place has the WORST customer service ever! Bought our BBQ Island on April 30th for a BBQ party scheduled on 5/21. I was told it would be ready in 2-3 weeks. After 2 weeks, we called to follow up on the order status. All I got was "Don't have a status yet. I'll call you back." The rep (Carlos) NEVER called back and every time we had to give a follow up call to him. When all tries failed to get them to give us information, I asked the rep to give me the direct # of the place that is building our BBQ Island. Called them and they said that they received our order on May 11th & the grill would be shipped to their Ontario location on June 2nd! I had to cancel my bbq party because of them. I called the store back & was told the company building the bbq island is lying.... VERY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Don't Ever buy from them. I am so UPSET right now for wasting my money and time with this company. Worst Decision Ever! Too bad I even have to choose 1 star for this review. read more
