I'm not sure about other non 5 star reviews, I guess people that complain will complain... here is my experiences. Parking not good if you want close parking, they have structure parking but it is a distance. Anyway, once you walk in you see gleaming floors and bright well lit warehouse. You will walk a few steps and people actually come and ask if you need help. It is not uncommon for 2 or 3 people to actively come up to you and ask if you need help. How's that for Home depot. it is unusual isn't it?? I feel that this location should be the training ground for other home depot employees. ALL HOME DEPOTS should be like this store. One thing though, can home depot's fix their credit card machines and allow tapping for payment??? seem like every store has this issue. read more

Today 3/29/26 was the second time that same employee Mike guy with the beard from Home Depot the plumbing department has helped me. I've been to many Home Depot's and it's rare to find someone with the knowledge this guy has in plumbing. The patience to answer and explain any questions. I went on the app first before I go.... Enter and search items my hubby told me to look up.... found them and wrote down the isle and bay#. We then drove there and found items as listed. Save us a lot of time searching in the store. If the item is not available or sold out .... the app will tell us as such! We get in and out fast without looking around.... Couldn't get help, left after 20 minutes. Cashier was pleasant, called for help, but the guy says hello and then says he has to go on break. We find two employees walking around, ask for help, they ignore us and continue to walk around talking, more like strolling and swinging their key leash. We went here with our nephew to find a replacement bulb for an overhead lighting system. We inquired where we would find the bulbs and were directed to the correct aisle. Who knew they had three different types of the same light; soft, bright white and yellow. No one could remember what type. We selected the soft white. We tried the bulb and the other bulbs were yellow. Ack! He has to decide whether to keep it or not. We also were looking for screen replacements. However all Home Depot has is DIY Screens. This Home Depot is a mess. Avoid the curbside pickup as they will either make you wait a really long time, bring out the wrong items, or act rude to you when they arrive. Avoid the inside pickup because they will also be rude to you and then after you pick up your items with a receipt, they may then accuse you of stealing! Also, the guys in side don't know jack about construction or the products so don't bother asking. Seems every time I come here there's a problem. Go elsewhere if you can. read more

While I was grabbing some stuff from this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. Great Black Friday deals, and we picked up a beautiful Christmas tree and wreath today (for an amazing price too!). Parking was a bit busy, but as long as you stay calm and not rushed you'll have a wonderful experience. We were greeted by the kindest, holiday spirited team at Home Depot and in the holiday tree area. The staff really knew their stuff about Christmas trees - I believe the tree team was also from ICI Trees. Don't forget the free clippings and hot chocolate. This review is specifically for Home Depot's Service where they provide you one professional to provide "Homeservices". I had a plugged bathroom sink drain. "Home Depot" offered an $88 special (specifically advertised in their tool rental area) and they Provided me Power Pro Plumbing from Cerritos, The Technician was Agustin Reynoso. Agustin arrived at my property and called me as I was not present. He indicated that he tried to clear the drain and hit a brick wall. He then proceeded to offer me "complete replacement of all drains which he indicated would require an asbestos check as they would need to open walls. I said no thank you, your services are no longer needed and I paid him the $88 dollar fee. I proceeded to call a local plumber he came over with no knowledge of the prior visit and he cleared the drain in 15 minutes and charged $159. Power Pros are crooks attempting to upsell me from $88 to thousands of dollars. I contacted home depot to file a complaint. It seems that while Home depot supposedly vets the vendors, they do not track ratings and do not have a process, in place for bad experiences. Don't ever accept Home Depots referrals stick to referral from a trusted source versus a source that simply wants to collect your money not your satisfaction. read more

the employees make this a bad shopping experience. I get they have absolutely no knowledge of the department they are assigned to and were hired out of high school at minimum wage. I totally understand if they aren't motivated to assist. That being said, can't you do what Target does and let us look for the item we want in your inventory? Almost every other place you go to, if a customer asks, do you have this, they scan it and tell you if they do or not. Most stores have an inventory list and some, like Target, let the customer search themselves within that list. Here they just point you to where it would be if they had it. Thank you yes. That's where I obtained the bolt I"m holding. I'm asking if you have a specific one. You know, because online your website says you do and yesterday you did but either someone moved stuff around or you got new ones because I can't see any where 100s were previously. It's really frustrating. Especially when I ask someone else and the dude I first asked comes to remind me where the aisle is. Yes thank you I can see the aisle, what I can't see but may be there is the specific thing i'm asking for. Update 8/12. Still ZERO RESPONSE from HD since July 7th, ZERO. DO NOT BUY from HD. Nobody cares. Nobody responds. We found out in July after waiting one month with no return calls that somebody dropped the ball and hadn't even ordered the replacements! Now here we are a month later and still no paperwork, emails, or proof that any replacements are in the pipeline. $43,000 of unuseable cabinets with no end to this NIGHTMARE in sight. Today I went into the Pasadena Home Depot store to pick up cleaning supplies. At checkout I was waved forward for assistance by Kenny. This young man scanned my purchases, bagged them and offered to price check an item in the garden section which was in the very back of the department and on a pallet on the highest level. Kenny ran all the way to and back to minimize my wait time. I was shown the item on his phone to verify the correct item. After asking if there was anything else he could do, he thanked me for my military service with a tone of respect. Thank You Home Depot, you made my day!!! read more

Let's face it, it's Home Depot. I know what to expect and never really complain. However the young woman on the phone was snarky. It was both lack of experience and general manners. She didn't understand a very simple lumber question and in turned laughed very condescendingly and referred to my question as subjective. I know what subjective means and when I called other lumber warehouses they answered the same question without any fuss. I did get an answer from somebody in the lumber department but the overall experience was frustrating to say the least as I had to really go out of my way for answers to save a trip. Home Depot learn to hire decent staff. I don't enjoy leaving bad reviews but you get what you put out. read more

I came in today to rent a generator. I talked to Alfonso in the rental department, and he was so helpful; he explained the different types of generators, and they also had generators for sale, so I bought one. They're super well stocked for anyone who's looking to supply supplies after the wildfire. They had at least 100 generators of different sizes. A couple of pallets of air purifiers . also all the cleaning supplies you will need to get your house and life back on track. It makes me feel good to buy at a box store instead of buying from Amazon. My generator was $100 less than Amazon and I was able to take it with me when I purchased it. As a tinkerer, a hobbyist, a DIYer, a green thumb gardener, and a school principal (to name a few), I spend a lot of time and dollars at various Home Depot stores. This one happens to be very close to my three kids' piano lessons, so many Tuesdays see me wandering around the store looking for this or that, credit card, burning a hole in my pocket, and a little bit of time to kill. Indeed, "looking for this, or that" tends to be the weekly tradition here. Multiple trips end with me walking empty-handed back to my truck, because they either don't carry the item I need (generally available at other Home Depot's for some reason), or they're all out of it, and some employed explains to me that the shipment is due here, tomorrow! On that note, I have not met a stinker employee here yet, every single one of them is friendly, knows how to smile, and is more than willing to help. They don't avert their eyes and look at their shoes, when you walked by, and instead seem to have a genuine interest in helping you find what you're looking for. Or at least find the aisle, where it would be stocked if they carried it, or the empty shelf, where they used to have some until they all sold a couple of days ago, as the story goes. As a Pasadena native, born and raised, I grew up with this location, being the Avon factory, and then watched it close, and then watched it sit follow for over a decade... And then, like so many others, celebrated when we heard Home Depot was coming to the 'Dena! It remains, however, a mystery as to why they generally don't seem to have what I need. And it's not like I'm looking for obscure inverted torx wrenches for Norwegian lobster trap winches or something.... We're talking standard size bags of soil amendments, common lumber, sizes, store brand plastic totes, power, tools, and essential plumbing fixtures. I came here on different ships looking for each of those things, only to be told they either don't carry it, or don't have it. Seems pretty easy to turn this three star review into a five star deal, and I quite simply cannot hate on the Home Depot, I really do like the store--they have good prices, and as big box, home-improvement stores go, they do a good job overall. May be a conversation with the team or individual responsible for ordering is all it would take. Because for me, all it takes is a trip to the Monrovia or El Monte stores... where candidly, the employees are not nearly as kind, but I find what I need and get on with my project. I went to the garden section of Home Depot this past Saturday because I needed some help in regards to a plant I have. I'm trying to become a "plant person" and honestly, have no clue as to what I'm doing. I ended getting help from Tod and he was amazing! Super friendly, incredibly smart, and really patient. He spent so much time helping me understand the plant I have (the one that's dying) and gave me great tips as to what I should do going forward to bring it back to life. Then when I saw another pretty plant (one I'm not going to kill), I bought it. He even gave me tips on what to do and how to make it flourish. I'm really excited about all the things Tod suggested because he give me hope to not kill the plant (or any plants that I have). If he ever teaches a plant class, I will 100% be signing up! Home Depot in Pasadena wins for "Most Improved" service, both in person and via their website. It used to be that it was impossible to find someone to help you. But now they have plenty of staff roaming the aisles and usually have one or two people stationed near checkout to answer questions and direct you. Their website (although it takes a while to get connected) will direct you to the aisle and bay number to keep your search to a reasonable small area. I used to find it very stressful to go to Home Depot... not anymore! read more

Pasadena citizens, you no longer have to drive south to Alhambra or launch a desperate yet futile raid on Target's sparse tools aisle to alleviate your DIY fix. The Home Depot has landed right where the Avon factory used to be. And in case you're wondering if this is some substation or a mini Home Depot since it doesn't really look that big from the outside, you have to remember the facility's footprint begins on Walnut and extends all the way to other side on Foothill. So yes, this is a full-sized Home Depot with all the nails and paint and other fix-it/build-it stuff you've been looking for. As for the parking, there's plenty, including a multi-level structure and an adjacent lot that's entered through a small bridge. I will say, however, that the turns are a bit tight at the opening. It just feels like they didn't space it out too well and there's only one exit. So be careful driving in and out! Inside, if you've already been to a Home Depot (and who hasn't really), there's not much to say other than this one follows the corporate cookie cutter layout as the others. Everything is really easy to find - just follow the signs. Oh, and the ceiling doesn't seem as high as its sister stores...or is it just me? All it's missing, though, is a good old-fashioned hot dog stand out front. Maybe after the pandemic is fully over, they'll have one. Who doesn't like a Home Depot hot dog! read more

Had GREAT service from Chris Oliveras tonight! I wanted to buy a Christmas blow up they had on display but I couldn't locate it on the shelf. Chris was walking by and offered to help. He worked hard to get the product number (it was on a high shelf), then searched for it in the store and online. It was totally sold out so I asked to purchase the floor model. He got the approval for me to purchase it, found someone to take it down and gave us a discount. The guy who took it down for us was super helpful too. I think his name was Jon Y but I'm not sure. This Home Depot location here in Pasadena is one of the newer ones in the area. I think it opened up not too long ago relatively speaking. This is a huge plus since it's a lot closer to me than the other locations. I stopped and looking for a couple of things and originally I had gone to the website and found exactly what aisle and what bay It was located but unfortunately it wasn't accurate. But it was just away and I was able to find what I was looking for after roaming the store a little bit. I'm sure normally it would be a great feature to utilize and save a lot of time. I then used the self check out and I was a quick and painless process. I got the scanner gun and scanned my items, paid with a credit card and I was on my way out. Parking wasn't too bad to find. To come in the morning when there are still a lot of contractors picking up odds and ends for their projects. I'm sure later in the day usually there will be less congestion and less cars but I'm sure it's always busy here. I'm very glad for this new addition of Home Depot in my neighborhood and this will be my new go to location. read more

I went to buy some big plants today and a lady comes up and starts helping me. Little did I know she was trying to sell me solar panels. She got me a big cart and help me pay and wouldn't stop following me and pushed me to give her my address. Thankfully my husband pulled in to take trees in his truck. She still kept asking for more info and wanted my phone number to text me things. I said not now and maybe later but she literally wouldn't take no for an answer. I don't appreciate Home Depot allowing this in the store. I do t care if you have partnered with this company, but I'm there for a reason and it's not to get sold on solar panels when shopping for a plant/tree. This store is poorly managed. On Dec. 3, 2024, I made a $2719.92 purchase, less $1000.00 Samsung annual promotion. Thus, total purchase was 1719.92 I presented 10% off coupon mailed to me. I was supposed to received $171.99 off the purchase. Instead, the sales lady gave me $9.79 off the total purchase. I left and found the mistake and went back to the store. They told me that I had already received big discount so I would not deserve that 10% off. What is the logic? This store is suck. read more
