This is the manager who stopped me and no one else. He falsely accused me of not paying and demanded. I show him receipt by grabbing me.

Do not shop here if you're black. They like to racially profile Black people at the exit and demand to see a receipt to make sure if they paid or not. After I was done purchasing and heading out, out of nowhere a manager by the name of Christian (pictured below) rushes/stops me and asked to see my receipt. I told him why would I show you my receipt if you didn't demand that from everyone else. To my shock, he proceeds to falsely accuse me of not paying. The other manager (his name starts with an A) did nothing to help and was very condescending. I asked him for a corporate number. He said it's on his receipt. I told him no it's not and then he just said 1- 800 Home Depot. They do not care about customers, especially if you're a minority. I'm gonna try to escalate this with corporate because they need to be held accountable for such discrimination

I'm not sure about other non 5 star reviews, I guess people that complain will complain... here is my experiences. Parking not good if you want close parking, they have structure parking but it is a distance. Anyway, once you walk in you see gleaming floors and bright well lit warehouse. You will walk a few steps and people actually come and ask if you need help. It is not uncommon for 2 or 3 people to actively come up to you and ask if you need help. How's that for Home depot. it is unusual isn't it?? I feel that this location should be the training ground for other home depot employees. ALL HOME DEPOTS should be like this store. One thing though, can home depot's fix their credit card machines and allow tapping for payment??? seem like every store has this issue.

    Thanks Mike in plumbing!!

Today 3/29/26 was the second time that same employee Mike guy with the beard from Home Depot the plumbing department has helped me. I've been to many Home Depot's and it's rare to find someone with the knowledge this guy has in plumbing. The patience to answer and explain any questions. Home Depot's need at least one person like Mike in every department.

I've been visiting this Home Depot location ever since I moved to Pasadena. Gotta say, the service at this location is amazing! Came in today to pick up some paint - didn't know exactly what I needed, but sure enough... I got the help I needed! BIG shoutout to Ryan at the paint department! I'll be coming back again, simply on the basis of his service! 10/10 recommend!

    Price not honored

Won't honor price listed on product. 7 heaters in stock, all prices listed. How is this possible?

We went here with our nephew to find a replacement bulb for an overhead lighting system. We inquired where we would find the bulbs and were directed to the correct aisle. Who knew they had three different types of the same light; soft, bright white and yellow. No one could remember what type. We selected the soft white. We tried the bulb and the other bulbs were yellow. Ack! He has to decide whether to keep it or not. We also were looking for screen replacements. However all Home Depot has is DIY Screens. Not acceptable. Large parking lot and WiFi. The WiFi however is not compatible with Yelp. Bulbs

Prices were very competitive, when I was there today, a lot of the pots were on sale too. I was actually just there to get some mulch. My favorite part was finding native plants here. And I managed to snag the last white sage, and they still had plenty of narrowleaf milkweed for anyone else also looking to help save some monarch butterflies. I also love that this nursery has been around for 35 years and the owner is still super active, chatting with customers and carrying my mulch bag for me. I was like should I be carrying it myself?

Two Latino staff members were very kind and helpful, though they did not speak much English. The place feels more like Descanso Gardens than the Huntington Library. It has a more natural, relaxed atmosphere, with a less formal and more organic layout. The plants feel closer to their natural state, which gives the whole nursery a very pleasant and genuine charm. What really stands out is the price. It already looks cheaper than Armstrong, and possibly even negotiable, but the quality does not feel worse at all. The plants look healthy, beautiful, and well cared for, so it feels like a better-value choice rather than a lower-quality one. They have mostly green plants, with only a small selection of flowering plants, but everything looks great. For plants, especially shrubs, many varieties come in different sizes at different price points, so you can choose based on your needs and budget.

And subsequently sought some of my local nurseries, pottery in hand, to find a suitable replacement plant. The first one I tried was a super hip spot in Highland Park. They were closed, no hours posted. IG famous? Then another on Fig. Almost no stock, nobody working. The Silver Lake one I had frequented for years was empty, but the dude I spoke with said 'yeah, pick out the plant you want.' I said 'well that's the part I could use some help with.' He pretended not to hear. I left. I remembered a spot on York but couldn't find and and then recalled the name: BLVD. Turns out they have one in Pasadena. GPS said 15 minutes. Let's do this. I found it and parked easily. Impressive stock, elevated minimal design, lots of concrete and stone planters, great pots, lots of texture, and a curated selection, from super cool architectural plants all the way down to humble basil. I approached a group of men resting under an awning. Turns out they'd just built it. Ramon jumped right in and showed me why BLVD is the absolute best. It was a blisteringly hot day but he showed me lots of options and talked everything through with a super positive attitude and lots of great information. Truly a first class experience. Love the interior space too, lots of room to see how plants and their vessels play out aesthetically. We settled on a Queensland bottle tree -- he planted it and gave it a proper zhuzh with some gravel, and sent me on my way, beautiful plant in my car. The experience was so positive that I'm plotting more foliage upgrades. Keep you posted. Until then, thank you BLVD, thank you Ramon.

There are several major north-south roads in this area, and Rosemead Boulevard is one of them. San Gabriel Boulevard is another. The road is wide and easy to drive. The nursery is right across the street from Com Tam Kieu Restaurant, one of the better Vietnamese broken rice restaurants in Southern California. On the way there, I passed a construction site, probably a new apartment building. It strongly gave me the impression of an EB-5 green card project, the kind of real estate development marketed less as a normal apartment building and more as an immigration investment package for Chinese buyers. In the middle of the SGV, that feeling was hard to miss. After that came the nursery. I drove from north to south, made a left turn onto a smaller street, and parked outside. The entrance is tiny. You walk through it and immediately reach the counter, where there was even a line. After that, you pass into an indoor room stocked with fertilizers, plant stakes, soil, mulch, and other gardening supplies. Beyond that is the back garden, which is much larger than expected and quite elegant. The plants are clearly well cared for, and the stone sculptures give the place a strong hint of Chinese culture. Along the edge of the main building, there are stacks of Buddha heads, seated Buddhas, and other stone figures, mostly in Chinese Buddhist or imagined Buddhist styles, though not necessarily following any strict traditional standard. There are Chinese signs everywhere, which makes sense for a nursery in the middle of the SGV. Many of the plants have bilingual names. The prices are not cheap, but they are fair. The orchids are much more expensive than what you would find at Trader Joe's or Costco, but they are also more beautiful and much stronger, so I would not call them overpriced. The plants use different colored tags, similar to what you see in many American discount stores. Some are very cost-effective. It is definitely worth stopping by, and even more worth it if you happen to find some good discounted plants. The cashier was a little rude, but as a Chinese person, I found it completely acceptable. I have seen much worse. Even though she was in a rush, the service was not bad. She even gave me an extra bag so the soil would not spill in my car. Overall, this is a good nursery and I would recommend it. It is even better if you understand Chinese culture, because many of the details will make more sense.

We were charged approximately $35,000 to landscape our front and backyard, and we were promised high-quality materials, including large 50-gallon plants and flowers. Instead, they installed the smallest five-gallon plants they could find. The grass was also the cheapest quality, was poorly leveled, and started dying almost immediately. We wanted privacy trees installed along one side of our brick wall. Standard Group recommended ficus trees and planted them only three feet from our pool because that was the only space available. We later learned that ficus trees should be planted at least 10 feet away from a pool structure. Because of their poor recommendation and installation, we had to hire another landscaping company to remove and replant all of the trees, costing us thousands more. We also asked for flowers and plants in a large area, but instead, Standard Group simply covered it with approximately two inches of wood chips. The wood chips covered our sprinkler heads and drainage areas, and their work resulted in broken pipes. We were charged $4k for landscape lighting, only to discover later that they used the cheapest lights available and charged us far more than the installation was worth. We also paid $800 for a Meyer lemon tree that we never received. After repeatedly contacting the owner Dave and expressing my frustration, I finally received a tree months later - but it was a standard lemon tree, not the Meyer lemon tree we paid for. This entire experience was an absolute nightmare and felt like a complete rip-off. Standard Group charged us thousands of dollars while cutting corners everywhere, using the smallest plants and cheapest materials possible, and failing to deliver what was promised. Before hiring this company, read the one-star reviews carefully. Many customers describe similar experiences. Based on what happened to us, be extremely cautious and do not use Standard Group. In my experience, this company is unprofessional, significantly overcharges customers, and does not deliver the quality or materials it promises.
