4/22/23 On April 8th at 14:48, I walked out of this barbershop feeling very disappointed and annoyed. If the place says barber you would think everyone there is licensed to use a razor blade...not the case. I am getting a head of myself. Let's take a step back and discuss what happened from the top. After massage, I decided to get my hair cut at Barber and Beauty. From what I saw the last time I was there, the clientele was predominantly Asian. This time around, I saw a more interracial mix of people. I was greeted and show a seat with...I do not remember her name. We will call her Magpie. I informed Magpie about what styl I wanted and pointed to the photo mounted to the wall. The style goes by the name High and Tight. A military style I have grown accustomed to. Magpie started out well, but as time went on, the style did not come out as I had wanted it to be. A woman who appeared to be the boss was watching in the shadows and emmarged help rectify the problem. I will call this woman Proctor. Proctor did make things better, but still not enough to satisfy the look I wanted. I ended up asking to just shave off all the hair. Certainly this could be done. Turns out Magpie isn't a barber, but simple a stylist. My beard and hair had to much stubble it to ever be satisfied. I started getting the idea the stylist there aren't licensed to use the straight edged razor besides Proctor. If this is the case, the name Barber needs to be taken off the name of the establishment and call it Hair and Beauty or something other than Barber. I don't see myself coming back here, because I have gotten use to Staight Edged razors and having the smooth baby's ass feeling. If you like the 5 o'clock shadow and feeling this place is for you. read more

My barber's name was Phuong and she did a fine job. Typically, back home in Massachusetts, I pay at least 50% more for the same hair cut and the cost of living is around the same. Phuong used scissors and electric clippers and cut expertly, confidenly, and quickly. What's not to like? Tip: It's probably a good idea to show the barbers pictures of the type of haircut you want. You can have these on your smart phone when you come in. English is not their first language. read more

This place might be fine for men but WOMEN pleaseee be careful!! I went in for a haircut and it was literally one of the worst ever! Firstly, there is no haircut specialist or anything, they just assign the client to whoever is free at the time. The lady who cut my hair said 'Yes yes ok ok' to whatever I said so obviously I assumed she understood what I wanted. Before starting she didn't even bother to divide my hair in sections or check for the middle partition! I asked for face framing layers but she didn't even bother checking if both sides were even or not!! To show me the final look she straightened just the ends of my hair, NOT my full head, just the ends! My hair was completely uneven from the front but I simply wasn't going to let them touch my hair anymore and I ran as fast as I could! I'll get it fixed from another salon if but NEVER this salon even again! read more

I had Jenny and my end result is pretty good, but I asked for just a haircut and she insisted on straightening my hair despite my protests. I don't use heat on my hair without protectant and she didn't listen to me. The facility is also quite dirty. read more

Just walked in to get a curve shaped, layered, 6-inch cut. The ladies are really friendly and there were customers of all sorts of ethnicities. They'll follow specific requests and I heard two of the ladies ask their customers if they wanted their usual. Men get $14 cuts and ladies get $17 cuts. They also have a mani and pedi side of the store but I have no checked that out. read more

We came here because of the wonderful Korean ladies who cut hair here. We have a Korean international student living with our family. He needed a haircut and I wanted to find someone with great experience cutting Korean hair. We were definitely not disappointed. Greeted warmly when we walked in. Offered a haircut while I waited. Felt very at home here. These ladies are so nice. If my wife didn't cut my hair I would come here too. I should mention, they cut all kinds of hair. There was a young, blonde haired, blue eyed college aged guy getting what looked to be a nice trendy modern cut with a floppy front. Definitely give them a try. NB-the shop is tucked down in the back of the shopping center just to the right of the dentist with the purple and white sign. No waiting in the middle of the day on a Wednesday. Kamsamnida! Only korean salon and barbershop around. All ah-jum-ah (korean woman) shop around who cut all types of hair. They are all skilled and professional in their work and are the only people qualified to cut asian hair. Also they are great at cutting white gentlemen hair because they know that skin sides are not appropriate. read more
