This place is great. Was satisfied with my hair cut. My barber (Hang) really took his time on my hair to to make sure nothing was missing. I really liked the vibe too (they give you beer while you wait or during they cut your hair!) The place is right in the middle on San Pedro square. Would recommend to any friend. The price for a hair cut is not the cheapest, but for downtown San Jose it's pretty reasonable. read more

Hang is a freaking g! A true professional. Went out of his way to shave my beard and I can truly say with confidence that it was the best haircut of my life. To be honest for $45 you will not find this level of professionalism. But Hang killed it. Freakin killed it. All the beer you can drink during the haircut. Great social environment. First time coming here, Vinny does nice tapers and all around good work but was not impressed with his "box cut". I would've been okay with it if it wasn't $55... Most expensive haircut I've ever recieved for the least amount of services provided. He's a cool guy though. read more

Vinny is a god send. I have a pain in the ass head of hair and it always looks great leaving. I dont want to leave anything but a 5 star. But they dont take card or venmo or any other type of electronic payment. Very unfortunate. They should most definitely get something they can pay with. Even just a company venmo account. Made an appointment for my teenage son on Sunday at 10 a.m. with Justin. Waited - turned out that Justin was simply not going to show up for the scheduled appointment. He had sent a text half an hour before the appointment, when we were already on our way, rescheduling for noon, which would not have worked. We ended up waiting for over an hour for Vinny to become available, and he did a nice job on my son's hair, even offering a discount. We ended up being stressed out and late for two important events that day because of Justin's lack of respect for his clients' time. We will be back, but be forewarned if you making an appointment with Justin. read more

It's possible that the other barbers are solid, but Matt gave me, without a doubt, one of the worst haircuts ever had. Didn't listen at all to what I asked for and even made a joke at one point that he didn't do what I asked for because it would be "less stylin". For $55 this was unacceptable (not to mention the extra $ I'm going to have to pay to find another to actually cut the sides evenly) - one side is now much longer than the other, and combing the hair down reveals that everything is uneven. Great place! I would give it 2 stars due to the personality and great staff. I'm giving a low star for overpriced services that they charge. Anywhere you will pay less! I understand it's the hard times but you shouldn't take that for granted. I paid $185 for blonde highlights on my short hair, a haircut with actually a line up not even a trimmed down or professional shaved for my facial hair and my eyebrows which he used the razor not even wax and he cut my eyebrow. The work was great at the end I would say, and who would leave without paying that's not right so of course I paid it but not going back at all. read more

Vinny did a great job with my haircut and beard trim and I really enjoyed talking with him. However, I was a little taken aback by the pricing. I was charged $50, which surprised me, since its more than I've ever paid for a haircut. While I'd love to go back to him and I wish him all the success in the world, $50 is a little rich to cut what left of the hairs on my head and face. read more

We stopped by San Pedro Market to grab dinner and stumbled across the new Barber Bar. My husband desperately needed a haircut and Vinny was able to get him right in, all while the rest of us ordered our food. The crew was delightful and accommodating, so much so, that we decided our nearly 1-year-old son should also get a his FIRST haircut along with Dad. Vinny was excellent with our little guy and despite the wiggling, gave him a sharp (and straight!) new do. Nikk took some pictures for their new social media account and went out of his way to send them to us. We have two handsome men and some great photos to commemorate the day thanks to the Barber Bar. read more

Nick is truly a man of his craft. You can tell this guy has a true passion for hair. I've only gotten a cut from him a handful of times but I have never been disappointed. I'll admit the price seemed a little high first walking in but after getting my first cut I could see why it was so much. Worth every penny, he's helped me as someone who doesn't know much about hair, to find a style that works for me and he didn't make me feel stupid for it.
