They will usually spark up some conversation with you. - Price. It does go into more into the expensive side ($60 per cut) but I usually go to my regular barber which is DT. So prices may vary around that range. - Worth the money? It does for me. Because there is no one else around the bay that can do my hair correctly except for DT. I have a naturally permed hair and DT is the only person there that can do me right. Plus he continues to learn and adapts to new styles that are trending too over the course of 2 years knowing him. - Overall? As I can't say for the entire staff but if you do need a men's haircut and down to try out new styles, then DT is the perfect person to book for. Scheduled an appointment 2 weeks ago for 12pm with David Huang. I arrived at 11:55AM and was greeted by another barber. I was told that David Huang is currently busy and almost finished with his last guest. I was asked to sit and wait. I got a bad vibe right off the bat. I ended up waiting 30 minutes before David Huang finally walked up to greet me. He was very nonchalant the entire 55 minutes that he spent with me and he totally butchered my haircut. David Huang also denied my polite request to fix his poor work... not only did my barber do a terrible job but the entire shop seems to have zero respect for their customers. What kind of business offers appointments and then confirms said appointment, only to make me wait 30 minutes upon my arrival? A terrible business does that. This will be my one and only visit here. Not every hair texture and head shape is same, and I would have been happy if there was some effort taken to understand the texture and adjust that with the head shape. First time visit (midtown) went more than great. Place is clean and tidy and barbers had a cool atmosphere all around. I read good reviews with Bryan Lee so I scheduled my haircut with him. Bryan is 11/10 and my new go to. He made my first visit pleasant and was very welcoming. As for the haircut, he asked me what I wanted and I told him in short detail of how I wanted it to be and showed a picture of what I found online. He knew immediately what to do and asked me preferences of what I think my haircut should look like, layering-etc. He was very detailed and professional. He told me every step of what he was going to do and by the end it looked exactly like the picture I showed him. I booked an appointment with Martin because he was recommended by my cousin. Turns out he's my brother's barber as well and have been cutting him for years since his garage days. Small world. Anyways, these guys are really professional. I had never done anything other than a buzzcut before, so I wasn't sure what I really wanted to do with my hair. I talked to Martin a bit and decided to keep growing out my hair for a comb-over. He gave me different options with the fade and what not. At the end, I was completely satisfied. The store is upstairs in a small lot. It is next to a tattoo parlor. The store is well lit and very well kept. They have a floor vacuum for all the hair. It's pretty neat. Pricing is fair and honestly, you get what you pay for. I will definitely be coming back here for future cuts. Tips: Schedule online through their website. The waiting area is fun (lots of dogs), too. If you love life, post-barber, stop in downstairs at the Italian bakery for handcrafted gelato and incredible treats. (I haven't seen sfogliatelle like that since Italy - WOW!). So: (1) barber, then (2) italian bakery downstairs, for maximum outing.
