I went there 3 times the first time i loved my haircut but when i went the other 2 times i had the worst haircuts of my life i showed him a picture of how i wanted my hair cut and then he said ok but after he was done and I looked in the mirror it was not at all what i asked for after that the barber was super aggressive he started yelling at me and my family and he is always angry after not getting a tip we once gave him a 10 dollar tip and he never even thanked us 0 stars please save your money and DO NOT COME THERE!!! read more

The owner/barber that cuts my hair here consistently does great work. He has skills with his tools I haven't seen from anyone else in his trade. I have only seen men in the shop and usually they are getting some type of high and tight cut. That's what my monthly cut entails, grooming the mane back to manageable. Which I can get anywhere but this guy goes farther. He does such a good job I brought him some Thai noodle soup from Sri Thai restaurant as a tip yesterday! Expect that he will pull out the straight razor and get your neck line as close as is humanly possible. He also hits the eyebrow runaways, the ear trespassers, and cleans up the space from the back hairline to below the t-shirt line. Now that is service. All for 13$?! Yes, true story. Now there usually isn't a wait here, or much of one, because he works fast. So in a way I hope the word doesn't get out that he's so good. But he's also a really nice guy so I hope that he stays busy and does well, and I don't mind waiting a bit to get in for a great cut. If you have made it this far in the review go check him out. This place popped up recently in North Hazel Dell. I love trying new barbershops in this place did not disappoint. It is clean and the staff is friendly. I asked for a very specific fade. The barber was meticulous and I left feeling like I got my moneys worth. A $10 haircut is very common but not of good quality. This one exceeds all expectations! I live in Hazel Dell so its very convenient to come here. I noticed the sign $10 haircuts so I thought I would give it a try. I'm so tired of paying $20 for a bad haircut at other places. The owner of D- Hairs is super polite and is an absolute expert at his craft! I've come back here three times and my hair has never looked better since I can remember. The best part about it is the razor neck shave at the end. No one else in Vancouver that I've been to does this for ten bucks. HORRIBLE! My husband took my 5 year old son to get a last minute haircut, and from the very beginning this barber had a bad attitude ! When my husband was trying to explain how he wanted our sons hair cut the barber was NOT not paying attention, not even looking at him. He brushed him off and said "yeah I know what I'm doing" my husband did not like his attitude at all but ignored it at first and decided to trust him and let him cut our sons hair. He started cutting our sons hair and completely ignored everything my husband said & he told him that wasn't what he asked for & then the barber started getting aggressive, yelling even got in my husbands face trying to fight him saying "who's the barber me or you?", my husband told him to not yell at him and if that was how he treated all of his clients he than said " this is my shop I'll yell if I want to!". My husband was not about to fight with this man in front of our 5 year old son so he then proceeded in telling our son "let's go" after the barber heard my husband say that he then ripped the cape off of my sons neck with aggressive force, my son told me his neck hurt after that. My husband told the barber that he was leaving a bad review on yelp and the the barber yelled at him "you better not do that!". This experience was the worst, please don't take your kids here he obviously does not care about customer satisfaction or hurting his clients! read more

I've been here twice. The first time the cut was perfectly acceptable, regardless of the price. In fact, I gave his business card to my son with my recommendation. The second time looks as though he used a hedge trimmer and steak knife. One side is longer than the other, the sides are not a uniform length, and there is a definite line where the top and side meets. I look ridiculous. I'm too old to really give a rat's behind about it, but it is an epic fail. I did not detect anything that would explain what happened. read more
