If i'm comparing this place to chipotle, chipotle does the job so much better. It's also not as clean as chipotle or other restaurants. Now, if i'm comparing this place as moe's, it's similar to them. Service is also mediocre, and sometimes they run out of certain foods. Their chips are also inconsistent; at times it's stale and other times it's perfect. I would say you can spend your $10 elsewhere with better quality food. This place has gone downhill and it's a shame. The chicken was dry and no seasoning. There were three of us eating lunch and we all agreed we wouldn't come back to this location. The salsa used to be very good but now is so salty you can't even eat it. As the manager or owner you have to keep check on these kind of things regularly. My son and I came in to pick up our order and it had not been started. We placed the order about 30 minutes in advance and the app said it would be ready in 16 minutes. When we came in there were no other patrons in the restaurant. The young lady that we first spoke to said "I'm sorry. We didn't start it yet. Can you wait five minutes". I said yes but please hurry because I need to pick up my daughter from school. She then turned to another employee and asked her to make the order. That employee met us with an INCREDIBLE amount of attitude, rolling eyes and rude looks. She just stood there and never answered as she stared at my son and me. I said "it's fine. I would like a refund". I was told I couldn't have a refund for my order. They still had not started the order and then I would told I would have to call a store number to request a refund. After several moments of the employee saying "this always happens to me. I was on my break". And me explaining to her that we didnt cause the situation and therefore did not deserve the treatment we were given, they finally made our order. I was late picking up my daughter because I could not just get a refund and be on my way. And to top things off, when we got home our order was incorrect. My son did not have any steak in his steak burrito and my burrito bowl was not made correctly. Worst restaurant in the area for customers who want their food when they open. Employees today decided to refuse multiple customers as they refused to unlock their doors for business at 11:00am. This has to be the worst experience I've ever had, let's start with the cashier I don't know of he was just not listening to the customer or what but the lady in front of me and my sister kept repeating herself saying the other burrito was hers and he just wasn't listening, my sister had to finally said that's not mines it's the lady. I ordered a salad that comes in the shell and the guy was not listening and just put the food in the container and I told him it was supposed to come in the shell and he told the cashier something I couldn't make out and said it would be a couple of minutes, he proceeds to make chips . First the pros: Great ice - Love the little chunks. Chips were very thin and crispy. The rest: The food was bland, bland, bland. We ordered a steak burrito, kids taco, chicken quesadilla and a cup of queso. The burrito had salsa, onions, cilantro, fresh jalapeno and still, no real flavor. Was going to add salsa to try and jazz it up but limited choices. I tried something called Heavy-D, which seems to be just some canned, watery tomatoes. No flavor at all. We got sour cream on the kids taco and for a tiny little squirt (not enough to really taste), it was an extra .50. Taco bell gives more. Chips, though nice and thin, were again tasteless. Also, we did not get extra chips for the cup of queso and one of us just got a bunch of broken chips, which amounted to a tray full of crumbs. Overall, none of us were given many chips at all. We went in about 45 minutes before closing so some of the below can be attributed to that. When we ordered, it was obvious they were trying to get the place closed up. They were down to sharing one spoon for the beans, rice and meats. To give credit, the employee did make sure to shake it off real good in between the cross-contamination process. Their "salsa bar" consisted of two types of salsa (tomatillo and heavy-d) and a bowl with a few slices of lemons sitting on a counter. We had to peel the plastic wrap back to get to the salsa and again, had to share one spoon among the bowls. We asked about other available salsa's but the two provided was it for the night. Yes, we went in late but with 45 minutes still left until closing, things should not be wrapped up with customers made to unwrap, spoons should never be shared and a tray full of crumbs instead of chips is not appropriate because they are getting low. Employees: Obvious they wanted to leave. While not rude, no real personality. Overall, it seems like the bland is infecting everything in the place. Did I mention the ice was good? read more

My co-workers and I are regular weekly/bi-weekly customers at this location and they never disappoint with fresh ingredients and great service. Even last week when we went and there was 1 employee working the entire store, cook, preparer, server, cleaning and even coming around and making sure everyone was good. Vegans and Vegetarians should be able to find something here! Great big burritos! Starbuck has baristas and Barberitos has Burrito Artists! This place is the same business model as Moe's, but we really enjoyed it (Moe's is NOT a family favorite). The chips are thin and crispy, the ingredients are fresh, the guacamole is tasty. Lot's of flour tortilla options (I chose jalapeno cheddar, but they also have spinach and a couple other choices. The guys building the burritos are great. They seemed to enjoy their jobs. The restaurant was clean when we visited. They have a salsa bar with three choices - none are fabulous, but again, I like the green lime salsa better than the salsa at Moe's. The strip center seemed "dead" for a Saturday evening at 7 pm. The parking lot was empty. There was only one other guest eating when we arrived, but a steady stream of customers arrived while we were eating - so I guess the place has fans. My family of 3 ate for less than $19.00 - and we left feeling FULL! No question: we'll choose to eat here again. read more

Once, at lunch between classes at UGA, I stumbled upon Barberitos. I've loved them ever since! Moe's doesn't compare, and only Qdoba comes close, to my mind. I was rapturous when they opened their Hamilton Mill location, and have been eating here ever since. It's always great and the employees are generally friendly, what else can I say? Well, maybe this: the last time I went in, a new employee made my burrito. She was great, but made the burrito so big, another guy had to wrap it. He barely managed! Overflowing with steak, cheese, sour cream and guacamole, cilantro and onions, and more, this was the BEST BURRITO EVER!!! Took two sittings to finish it. Add to that, a big bag of crispy, salty chips that comes free with every meal, and all the salsas, hot sauce and limes you desire, and you've got a winner! I find myself at this Barberitos every other month. I was never let down a single time. I usually get the vegan burrito on a spinach tortia. It always came out stuffed and full of deliciousness. The staff is always great to deal with as they are quite friendly. The place is usually clean but it can get rough during the Sunday lunch when all these new families come to dominate the place. Sadly, this is the closest Barberitos for me and I wish that they would decide to build one inside Atlanta. read more

IMO, the crew can sometimes be a little spacey and the floors can be a touch sticky, but I've gotten several of the vegetarian options several times and conclude that it's a solidly decent burrito joint. (No idea why it's under the "Barbeque" category, though...) Comparison: I've been to Willy's more times than I can count and it's my hands-down favorite. Since there's no Willy's nearby, Moe's is a good alternative and I'd rank Barberitos at about the same level -- highly satisfactory. If I never went back to Chipotle again, I'd be fine. My friend and I came in here and immediately could smell marijuana. I further realized the employees working were high. Neither of them appeared to know what they were doing. I asked for avocados on my quesadilla and they looked for two seconds and said "don't got any". My question is how do they have guacamole but no avocados. When I arrived home, I looked at my meal and noticed I did not receive any sour cream or pico. I called the store and the guy who answered sounded out of it, and had to ask the other employee all the questions I was asking. They proceeded to tell me I could come back to the store to get the sour cream and pico, but I told them I was already home. They told me that sour cream and pico doesn't come with meal unless you ask for it, so I told them I must've misinterpreted the menu when it said that the meal comes with it. I proceeded to say I would have to eat a dry quesadilla and he was rude and said "ok bye." I am now home eating my quesadilla with plain greek yogurt. (Life hack if you haven't tried it) Needless to say, I will never go back there because their employees think it's okay to get high on the job and not care at all. read more

It's been a while since I've been here and I remember it being really good but I was wrong. I got a jerk fish burrito bowl and as the guy is scooping the fish onto my bowl, he tells me that it's not seasoned correctly because they ran out of the right seasoning so it has lemon pepper seasoning and various other seasonings... okay. Then he tells me they're out of black beans so I got pinto beans. No big deal. But THEN I see someone else scoop black beans onto my husband's burrito. Thought that was pretty odd. The mango salsa looked disgusting but it didn't taste bad. Oh but the lemon pepper "jerk" fish was awful. So peppery and salty. Let me start off by saying that I LOVE Barberitos but this particular one is in serious need of staff and training...or maybe management?!?! I live in the area and almost every Sunday that are out of something or a number of things. During the week is not much better either. Two wEeks all I stopped in and they were out of salsa...I mean it's a burrito place, how are you out of salsa?!?! And then tonight I came in and after standing in line for more than 15 minutes I learned that they were out of queso. I decided to order anyway so I asked for rice and beans and they were out of rice?!?! I mean, seriously???? You guys offer kids eat free on Sunday so you should expect a crowd (I wasn't having any kids) but be prepared!! The staff didn't seem to be phased or care that they had several angry customers nor did they feel the need as the line was growing to let anyone know so we could make the decision before standing in line for that long! This is the second time I have tried to go on a Sunday and they were out of an integral component. It's pretty sad that when we want Barberitos I get it in winder on my way home from work when I live 5 minutes away from Hamilton Mill!
