These are picanha tacos. It's a Brazilian thick cut, super yummy. The atmosphere is pretty decent but a little tiny in there. I've tried other items like the salads, decent as well.
We came in on a busy Saturday night and the staff got us seated in less than five minutes! Our server ,Haiti, was very kind and informative of the menu! She gave excellent recommendations as well. Johnny, the general manager, was also extremly friendly and really showed passion for food! I got the Barbacoa and Carnitas tacos! My only critique would be the Barbacoa was on the oily side but still scrumptious! My husband got the Costra taco with Al pastor and a beef torta. My husband is a foodie and loved everything!!! Lastly, the house margaritas were amazing! Not too sweet and not too weak ;) We will absolutely be back!
The guacamole is spicy but good. The server asked if we wanted jalapeños, and we said on the side, but it was an extra 50 cents, so we'll skip that next time since the dip already has jalapeños in it. The cheese dip was good. Their chips are thick and crunchy, and the two dips were just enough for the three of us. The esquites were decent, but I wouldn't order them again. I got the burrito bowl with grilled fish, which was a little chewy and too spicy for me, maybe from the pico. I didn't get the extra peppers and onions and asked for light black beans. The rice was too mushy for my taste. K got a burrito (no onions or peppers) with birria meat. JA liked her tempura fish taco and loved the birria taco, and she preferred the corn on the cob. JO liked his birria pizza. The server was really nice. K doesn't love this place, but Sugar Hill is a cute area!

We went last night and let's just say, my socks are still emotionally recovering somewhere on the floor. My husband and I kicked things off with queso and chips. Elite opening act. We closed the night with Tres Leches cake. Show stopping finale. In the middle? Absolute taco poetry. The birria tacos were savory, bold, life affirming. The picanha tacos? A meaty revelation that deserves its own holiday. If tacos wore crowns, these would walk in already kinged. Now, let's talk ambiance. The Christmas decor was basically a warm hug sprinkled with lights and magic. Festive doesn't even begin to cover it. It was like Buddy the Elf got an interior design degree and chose joyful chaos as the theme. Stunning work. We even braved the patio at 26° outside because Rreal Tacos said, "Cold who?" Covered. Heated. Cozy. A vibe so immaculate we almost forgot it was winter and not some enchanted summer night with a heater budget. Our server Victor? Charisma level 10. Attentive, friendly, and clearly a man who knows he's serving tacos capable of changing lives. Killer food, amazing atmosphere, decor that understood the assignment, and service that hit every beat. We didn't just eat dinner, we attended a taco event. Go. Eat. Let Victor guide you. Let the queso warm your soul. Let the Tres Leches heal any problems you were pretending you didn't have. Our son recently home from college had Rreal Tacos on his list as one of the places to eat. So we stopped by and boy was this place packed! The tables were booked. So many people were there eating like it was a party. Our son noticed the wait room was removed for additional dining. He ordered food on the kios. Then we waited about 15 - 20 minutes for the food. He ordered a Quesadilla Pizza and two Chicken Tacos for me. I ordered a small salsa but it didn't list chips. I had to ask does chips come with it. The hostess checked and said no. You have to order a larger salsa for chips. I hated that.
I'm really liking this place after a couple of visits!! This is the real deal tacos all with plenty of meat, flavor, great sauces, full bar, and the best margarita list in town. Second time here, this time with my son, his friend where we got a Birria pizza, several of the tacos, including pork belly, Barbacoa, a ton of food. This is an upscale casual Cantina, nicely done with great atmosphere service and food. The custom margaritas really sets it apart and they are fantastic! $15 but good. Highly recommend !
We had a date night while our son was at PNO at Gymnastix and there was going to be a 30 min wait so we headed to the bar and decided to just stay there to eat as the bar staff were super friendly, fast and it was so much fun watching all the festive drinks they had on the menu for the holiday theme. The restaurant was decorated so festive and the wait staff were very nice to understand us planning to stay put as the high top on the patio was a little colder spite the heaters and we were having fun where we sat at the bar to interact with the staff and the patrons. The bar was very accommodating and prepared as if it's normal and acceptable for anyone to sit and eat at the bar as they quickly had condiments, silverware and extra plates ready. They were fast to get our orders of drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and we were promptly greeted with water upon our arrival to the bar to sit down and before we even ordered any drinks or food. We thought that was extra kind and beneficial as we had been walking around Sugar Hill a little and had come from the Rooftop so we needed to rehydrate. I wish I could recall the two ladies who waited on us to call them out by name but one had blonde hair in pigtails, curled and styled so festive with a red sweater/sweatshirt and the other was dark hair with a green christmas sweater/sweatshirt. We tried the guacamole which was fabulous! Then we tried the Asada, the Birria, Grilled Chicken, Al Pastor tacos and they were superb!!! For Drinks my husband had them make a custom Jalapeño Margarita, and we had their Mocktail Hot Chocolate as a dessert. It was the perfect evening, prices were great and we will be back.

Some friends live at the apartment complex right across from this establishment and they told us the "vibes were immaculate", we decided to investigate that for our own selves. It was a Saturday night and it was popping! Super busy and very hard to get a table. We went to sit at the patio and the whole establishment is gorgeous. The place is very aesthetically pleasing and truly we don't have a place like this close in the area unless you want to go to Atlanta. One of the server said that they redid the back patio, and it was very nicely done. The service was good. The food was also good too. I would say that if you were to separate the food from the environment... the food would definitely be decent. But overall, we had a really good experience and we could see ourselves coming back for some delicious margs! read more

The guacamole is spicy but good. The server asked if we wanted jalapeños, and we said on the side, but it was an extra 50 cents, so we'll skip that next time since the dip already has jalapeños in it. The cheese dip was good. Stopped by here for Mother's Day last week (but of a late review whoops!) and Rreal Tacos checked all the boxes for a quick filling lunch. There was a bit of a wait when we first arrived so we opted to sit outside. Not sure about inside seating but outside the menu was all digital. Not a deal breaker for sure, but wish the digital platform offered more individual dish information! Our server was so so sweet and immediately greeted us with and got our drinks out. The table we sat at was small for 4 people and I ended up having to put personal items in my lap and behind my chair to make room. The heaters were great to keep the outdoor area warm on a breezy day! Our appetizer of fried avocado came out frozen inside unfortunately so we had to send it back, and they quickly brought another serving-- this one also having some coldness on the inside. The sauce that came with them was AMAZING though! The taco and street corn I got were lovely and the perfect size for a quick lunch! Prices were also not too bad for downtown. Overall, not a bad spot and I wouldn't be opposed to giving them a second try sometime in the future. read more

Thoroughly enjoyed the Picanha Steak Taco with chimichurri sauce topped with pickled red onions. The steak was flavorful, tender and satisfying. The Tempura Fish Taco was cooked just right with a crunchy coleslaw and smooth chipotle mayo. The Shrimp Taco was tasty but a little bit on the salty side. Our server Rachel R. was very kind, patient and explained the menu items well. The interior was cozy but somewhat loud due to brick walls and little sound absorption. The patio had plenty of heaters but were a bit warm in some spots. We're definitely going back! read more

Not a bad alternative to our regular taco spot. I liked the flavor and the ambiance of RReal Tacos better than Beto's, although you will pay more for it. It also seems to be a bit more crowded at RReal Tacos, with dinners usually having a wait list. My first time in I tried a variety of tacos: chicken, steak, and barbacoa beef. All were tasty. We also got the trio side of salsa, guac and cheese dip for $20. Service was pretty decent for how crowded they were. We will be back! read more

The experience here was pleasant overall. The place has minimalist look and feel as soon as you walk in, with a mix of different styles of music. The hostess and server were very friendly and sweet. The menus are small but clear and concise with the items. They are a bit on the pricey end with some tacos up to almost $6 each. I ordered 3 tacos each with a different protein source. Al pastor (pork), Shrimp, & chicken. The Al pastor was crispy and tender with a balance flavor and was my favorite of the 3. The shrimp lacked flavor but were juicy and cooked well. The chicken was extremely salty and even with the amount of salsa and sour cream I topped it with I couldn't drown out the salt. My partner had the chicken quesadilla that also had the massive amounts of salt. My main issue with the visit at Rreal Tacos is the fact that our waitress told us at the end of our meal that throughout the day they've had multiplied complaints about the salt in the chicken. I think that information should be given while the ordering process is being done as a word of warning. Everyone has a different salt palate but at least mention it if it's been an issue. read more
