Their chips are thick and crunchy, and the two dips were just enough for the three of us. The esquites were decent, but I wouldn't order them again. I got the burrito bowl with grilled fish, which was a little chewy and too spicy for me, maybe from the pico. I didn't get the extra peppers and onions and asked for light black beans. The rice was too mushy for my taste. K got a burrito (no onions or peppers) with birria meat. JA liked her tempura fish taco and loved the birria taco, and she preferred the corn on the cob. Our son recently home from college had Rreal Tacos on his list as one of the places to eat. So we stopped by and boy was this place packed! The tables were booked. So many people were there eating like it was a party. Our son noticed the wait room was removed for additional dining. He ordered food on the kios. Then we waited about 15 - 20 minutes for the food. He ordered a Quesadilla Pizza and two Chicken Tacos for me. I ordered a small salsa but it didn't list chips. I had to ask does chips come with it. The hostess checked and said no. We had a date night while our son was at PNO at Gymnastix and there was going to be a 30 min wait so we headed to the bar and decided to just stay there to eat as the bar staff were super friendly, fast and it was so much fun watching all the festive drinks they had on the menu for the holiday theme. The bar was very accommodating and prepared as if it's normal and acceptable for anyone to sit and eat at the bar as they quickly had condiments, silverware and extra plates ready. They were fast to get our orders of drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and we were promptly greeted with water upon our arrival to the bar to sit down and before we even ordered any drinks or food. We thought that was extra kind and beneficial as we had been walking around Sugar Hill a little and had come from the Rooftop so we needed to rehydrate. I wish I could recall the two ladies who waited on us to call them out by name but one had blonde hair in pigtails, curled and styled so festive with a red sweater/sweatshirt and the other was dark hair with a green christmas sweater/sweatshirt. We tried the guacamole which was fabulous! Then we tried the Asada, the Birria, Grilled Chicken, Al Pastor tacos and they were superb!!! Stopped by here for Mother's Day last week (but of a late review whoops!) and Rreal Tacos checked all the boxes for a quick filling lunch. There was a bit of a wait when we first arrived so we opted to sit outside. Not sure about inside seating but outside the menu was all digital. Not a deal breaker for sure, but wish the digital platform offered more individual dish information! Our server was so so sweet and immediately greeted us with and got our drinks out. The table we sat at was small for 4 people and I ended up having to put personal items in my lap and behind my chair to make room. The heaters were great to keep the outdoor area warm on a breezy day! Our appetizer of fried avocado came out frozen inside unfortunately so we had to send it back, and they quickly brought another serving-- this one also having some coldness on the inside. The sauce that came with them was AMAZING though! The taco and street corn I got were lovely and the perfect size for a quick lunch! Prices were also not too bad for downtown. Rreal is a great option for a family with younger kids because the restaurant is willing to omit ingredients they don't want (also because they refuse the options on kid's menu). The experience here was pleasant overall. The place has minimalist look and feel as soon as you walk in, with a mix of different styles of music. The hostess and server were very friendly and sweet. The menus are small but clear and concise with the items. They are a bit on the pricey end with some tacos up to almost $6 each. I ordered 3 tacos each with a different protein source. Al pastor (pork), Shrimp, & chicken. The Al pastor was crispy and tender with a balance flavor and was my favorite of the 3. The shrimp lacked flavor but were juicy and cooked well. The chicken was extremely salty and even with the amount of salsa and sour cream I topped it with I couldn't drown out the salt. My partner had the chicken quesadilla that also had the massive amounts of salt. My main issue with the visit at Rreal Tacos is the fact that our waitress told us at the end of our meal that throughout the day they've had multiplied complaints about the salt in the chicken. I think that information should be given while the ordering process is being done as a word of warning. Everyone has a different salt palate but at least mention it if it's been an issue. read more

It also seems to be a bit more crowded at RReal Tacos, with dinners usually having a wait list. My first time in I tried a variety of tacos: chicken, steak, and barbacoa beef. All were tasty.
