Great location with actual street parking, not the kind where you circle the block 14 times questioning your life choices. The restaurant is big, spacious, and doesn't make you feel like you're dining inside a shoebox. Now... the booths. You know those tragic booths where one side is basically punishment seating? Or the table leans like it's trying to escape? Or the seat rocks like you're on a mechanical bull you did not sign up for? Yeah, none of that here. Everything was sturdy, level, and shockingly... normal. A tiny miracle. I failed at my food‑photographer duties and didn't get pics of my husband's or father‑in‑law's meals, but trust me, they inhaled them. I ordered the birria tacos and let me tell you....these things were loaded. Not "Instagram loaded." I mean real loaded. One taco almost took me out. Two had me questioning my life decisions in the best way. Perfect seasoning, zero complaints. Dessert? Also no pics because apparently I blacked out from happiness. But listen here............. CHOCOFLAN with ice cream. Get it. Get it to‑go. Get two. It's a non‑negotiable.

Had a good first experience at Off the Rails. The interior is immaculate. A lot of thought was put into the decoration and design of this restaurant. Almost an experience in itself. Expect a wait if you go for dinner after 5, but it's usually no longer than 20 mins. Service does a good job turning tables quickly. The food is good and fresh and tasty. We will be back!

Wow! So impressed with the food, the service, the ambience! Set in historic Buford, this delightful cantina and a full bar, tables and booth service with an energetic and well home wait staff. Service is efficient and courteous. Jacob was excellent, knowledgeable about the food and allergens. Street parking is plentiful and the avenue offers a great area to stroll before or after your meal. come for a date night or bring a gaggle of friends! You won my be disappointed.

Our first time coming for lunch. They have a lunch menu or can still order off main menu. I got the three taco plate. I love their crispy shells with the shredded chicken. It comes with three tacos and a side of rice and beans. My husband got the fajita lunch plate which was huge! The steak was so tender. We started with a side of the small guacamole that was perfectly seasoned. We were sat right away. They are always so packed out at dinner. I actually loved it at lunch! The stained glass windows were beautiful!

The best place here and nice people

We came here to celebrate our anniversary. It was my first visit and my husband's second. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and had a unique charm. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was exceptional. Our server, Ryan, was friendly, attentive, and had great timing throughout our meal. We started with the cowboy queso--definitely a must-try! While the menu is a bit limited, it offers a variety of creative and distinctive dishes that go beyond your typical Mexican restaurant fare. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Very large restaurant with lots of seating. We liked the decor. The server was new so we wasn't too familiar the menu and kept having to go ask questions but she was nice. We told her we wanted to drink first and would order after a while, but she kept asking if we were ready to order. The passionfruit margarita was good. I liked that there were multiple margarita flavors and options. They also had a nice cocktail menu. The shrimp taco left a lot to be desired. It was cold, small shrimp with no flavor. I expected grilled or fried shrimp which of typical of most shrimp tacos. My husband had the carne asada. It was flavorful but needed more onions. The tortillas that came with it were nice and fresh.

First, let's talk about the ambience, this is 10 out of 10. Such a cool place the stain glass windows are beautiful. This place has character. Now let's talk about the margaritas A+, good and strong and taste perfect. The food, delicious. I got the tostadas which I will definitely be getting again. This is a cool place.

"There's something magical about rooftops. You feel like you're in 'Mary Poppins."…read moreGeorge Clarke There really is something special about being on a rooftop on a perfect summer evening, and it's great to have it right in downtown Sugar Hill. I would like to say I planned the perfect date, but as some of the best things in life, this was just an impromptu visit to cap off an already great evening. Outside of being on the rooftop, the bar itself is upscale yet approachable, service was fast and friendly. Being a bit of a self engrandized home bartender I'm a bit critical when out of my home lab, but their Smoked Old Fashioned wasn't bad. ("Wasn't bad" really means very good.") While I don't love the prices and hate paying a cover charge, when you throw in live music, a great vibe, and a view, I can't really complain. The owner made an announcement that whoever tipped the band $10 would get a free drink, and since most drinks were over $15 I thought that was cool on many levels. Will definitely be back to The Rooftop!

Unfortunately, that excitement disappeared pretty quickly. We waited approximately 10 minutes without being acknowledged. A woman standing behind us who had arrived after we did was approached by the bartender and had her order taken first. I'm not going to speculate about the reason, but sitting there and watching it happen certainly didn't make us feel welcome. At that point I decided not to order anything because I already had doubts about staying. My wife ordered a glass of white wine that was supposed to be a 6 oz pour. When it arrived, we both questioned the amount. I even noticed other glasses of wine at a nearby table that appeared to have considerably larger pours. I've included a photo so people can judge for themselves. We weren't looking for special treatment because it was our anniversary. We simply expected the same basic level of acknowledgement and service as everyone else. It's unfortunate because we came in genuinely excited to try a local place and celebrate together. The atmosphere has potential, but our first impression of the service made us feel like we'd be better off spending our anniversary somewhere else.

I also ordered onion rings, which were not good, and lemon pepper wings that had absolutely no lemon pepper seasoning. The wings again tasted as though they were a day old. I drove approximately 15 miles to try this restaurant, and after three disappointing experiences, I can honestly say I will never return. I ordered the lunch special with two tacos (pastor & chicken) and swapped the beans for rice. It was my first time trying pastor, and wow--I was genuinely impressed. The meat was tender, juicy, and packed with a smoky, slightly sweet, and savory flavor that really stood out. Definitely a 5/5 for the pastor taco. The chicken taco was decent--well-seasoned, mildly juicy, and satisfying, but not quite as bold or memorable. I'd give that one a 4/5. One thing I really appreciated: the meat didn't have that dry, overcooked texture you sometimes get at other taco spots. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. My partner ordered the carne asada plate (charbroiled fajita steak with pico de gallo, avocado, rice, and tortillas, with beans swapped for extra rice) $15.99. He said the steak was nicely charred, tender, and full of rich, savory flavor with just the right amount of seasoning. The plate was filling and well-balanced, and he gave it a solid 4/5. Overall, a great lunch spot with fresh ingredients, quick seating, and flavorful food. We'll definitely be back!
