I then come back in half an hour and I ask if the hair stylist is ready. The receptionist says no that she needs 5 more minutes but I can leave if I don't want to wait. This was pretty frustrating and I asked why they wouldn't just call me if she's running that behind and ask me to come later? The receptionist only mentioned that the stylist is just that busy. I wait another couple of minutes and ask again if the stylist is ready. At this point im tired of waiting and ask to get an actual estimated time she will be ready. I see the receptionist go up to the stylist and I see that the stylist is annoyed with the questions. I feel that when you have such a "popular" stylist that people should be better at scheduling their appointments for them. A phone call to say she's running an hour behind would have been great to receive, and the stylist could have taken 2 minutes to check in with me and see what can be done to accommodate me since I wasn't late. The stylist ran behind and should have tried to remedy the problem. At the end I left, it was obvious they didn't care for my business since the stylist is that popular. Overall I was very disappointed and won't return.

I came the second time, I still didn't get what I had requested. I was very disappointed with the final result, especially considering the amount I paid. After expressing my concerns, I was told that the owner would reach out to me to address the situation. It has now been over a month, and I still have not received a call, message, or any follow-up whatsoever. I understand that things can happen and that not every service goes perfectly, but what really disappointed me was the lack of communication and customer service afterward. If a customer spends $402 on a service and is unhappy with the result, I believe their concerns should be taken seriously and addressed in a timely manner. I gave the salon the opportunity to follow up before leaving this review, but after more than a month of waiting, I feel that my experience deserves to be shared. I would not recommend spending this amount of money somewhere where there is no follow-up or accountability when a customer is dissatisfied.

But the worst part was what happened after. Before I even had a chance to process the results, staff started loudly asking me to pay in cash -- repeatedly, every few minutes, in front of a full salon. I wound up booking an appointment two days later and when I walked in, the manager, while rolling her eyes, in a non convincing manner says, "OH, sorry about the other day" NO REMORSE WHATSOEVER. Didn't even offer to perhaps give me a discount for the haircut. It's just shrug the shoulders and too bad Joe. This type of behavior is what turns customers away. It's not the first time this has happened. The bottom line.... they catered to the more expensive LATE client instead of the ON-TIME standard Men's haircut. The manager needs to take a Customer Service course and also not have her young staff members do her dirty work. A 2 grade is extremely generous. Will I go back..... I truly don't think so, with all do respect to the woman who cuts my hair.

The appointment was at 11, she was only able to take me at 11:30. She double booked her appointments. I asked for Hollywood waves. As Anna was teasing my hair she kept ripping it off ignoring my screams and begging to be careful. 3 days later after the hair style my hair still continues to break and to fall off from pulling. The waves only held for one hour so by the time I got to the wedding my hair was completely straight ($120 down the drain) . In addition, she was sneezing and sniffling right over my head. I haven't tried any other stylists at Opia (and I definitely won't come back to try) but stay from Anna at all costs. She is sadist!
