On my Birthday I was able to enjoy some Smooth Jazz from the Orchestra and they were dynamite. I had a margarita and it was good. Service good and love the atmosphere ambiance tables and couches complimentary snacks like pretzels.

While bourbon touring in Louisville, I was looking forward to visiting Whisky Thief and they did I not disappoint. The experience was enjoyable and the option of getting a tasting and then going to relax and enjoy created a no stress tasting. The bourbon was excellent and took home my own that I filled myself.

Whiskey thief is such a great experience! We decided to come here for my husband's birthday and as we're walking in, there was a couple walking out that really encouraged us to go in because it was such a great vibe. The servers were amazing. My husband got to experience what the whiskey thief actually is. They also had if it's going on and was just part of the competition. The server is really knowledgeable and explained a lot of things to us. If we were in the area, we would come back!

Went in for a tasting and turned out to be a nice treat. Casual . The service was excellent she explained how the bourbon was made and how it comes out.

Best place to try Bourbon and many different kinds. Sample la today were five varieties: 5 yr 70/21/09 119.8 proof 4 yr 74/18/08 107.2 proof 5 yr 54/36/10 115.9 proof 5 yr 78/10/12 116.0 proof and I don't know the last one. I learned a lot about the first number near the corn content and the second has something to do with the flavor and so on. I am not a drinker and the staff provided me with a ton of information to understand a lot about Bourbon. It was a great experience

The Nulu Tasting Room offers good vibes, great pours, and if you pick the right night, excellent jazz.

This is a really cute spot! It's a bit tucked away, but I recently went for a cocktail. There is some dedicated parking, but otherwise you'd need to park on the street. Upon entering, we received a very friendly welcome and were given the lay of the land. You can do a tasting for $30, which includes a souvenir glass, or you can have a drink at the bar. We opted for cocktails at the bar, and they were so lovely. The space is beautiful, and they also have live music on the weekends. There is also a nice gift shop area! I really enjoyed browsing the curated goods. Plus, there's a free photobooth for extra fun! What a lovely gem!!

Stopped in and had a few drinks, sampled some bourbon and left with a bottle of their prototype winter gin! All of the staff working were very friendly and knowledgeable. Had the pomegranate mule and bourbon sloshie. Hoping to stop in again during the Louisville Bock Fest & Wurst Fest!

What a great visit. Tasting straight from the barrel. I even got to pour my own bottle from the barrel. Had a great time.

The best stop on the KY Bourbon Trail! I've been twice and can't wait to go back soon.

Great spot for tasting. Fill your own bottle. Nice outdoor space. Friendly staff. Located behind Last Refuge in NuLu.

This was an amazing spot. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. Very helpful when trying to decide what to drink. There were plenty seating available. I want to revisit when there is live music because they had stage there. We went for a silent disco, so definitely going back to do a tasting from their barrels.

They have a small tasting room, and if you're a sweet wine lover--this is definitely your place. My favorite is the Bella Rose... so good! They do have some dry options, but their sweet and more "exotic" wines really stand out. The wine tasting is such a great deal--only $10 for 6 options, and they even give you a little cup of Goldfish to snack on between tastings (which is actually perfect). They also have a larger space for events, and my friends and I did their spring mat decorating event--it was SO fun and such a cute experience. The only downside was seating for the event--we didn't realize there was a specific process for reserving spots together, so we almost didn't get to sit as a group. Luckily it worked out when someone nearby didn't show up. Overall, such a fun, relaxed spot with great vibes. I'll definitely be back!

During an early 2025 trip to Washington, D.C., we went to multiple establishments and, coincidentally or not, encountered this specific bourbon and just loved it. The most notable occurrence was at Jack Rose Dining Saloon, where I had literally the best Old-Fashioned I've ever had, using a special Angel's Envy that hung out in some sherry barrels for a while. Since then, we've both regularly ordered it when given the opportunity, and ultimately decided that the best way to appreciate this fine spirit was to go right to the source. So to the mothership we went. My chum did most of the heavy lifting here and scheduled a bourbon tour with Louisville Food Tours (very strong recommend) that featured Angel's Envy at the first stop. It's hard to really put into words what this building looks like as you walk in and explore, but it's just so...nice. It's classy without being inaccessible, and it just felt like a true cathedral of bourbon. As tasteful as the bourbon it makes. During our initial tour, we were probably in the distillery for a solid half hour plus, getting a quick tour of the still and fermenters before being led into a side room on the second floor to formally taste some bourbon. Paula was our guide, both during this tour and later on, and was just enormously impressive, which I touched upon in my review of the official tour as well. She's no-nonsense and loves her bourbon - who can't relate? We learned how to inspect the bourbon in the glass, to take a test sip to numb the pain receptors and to truly appreciate the subtle notes in the bourbon with the second sip. It was legitimately helpful, useful information that we're both going to utilize going forward. After our three-hour tour ended (go hard or go home), it wasn't even much of a discussion - we came back here for a few hours to soak in more of the atmosphere and drink some more bourbon. At this point, it was probably close to 5ish but the place was still pretty busy; somehow we were able to secure spots at the bar upstairs and made ourselves at home. I wish I could remember the name of our bartender (blame the time that has elapsed, not the bourbon), but he was very good, social without being oppressive and was just present and let us do our thing. After sipping straight bourbon for most of the afternoon, I switched to the Bourbon Renewal, which you'll be shocked to know includes Angel's Envy but is a more summer, fruit-forward cocktail and super refreshing. Was the right call and hit the spot. (We also got waters because that's the responsible thing to do.) We finally went back downstairs to the gift shop, which doesn't feel like the right term - it was more majestic than something you'd walk into after going through, say, a museum for an hour or two. It's enormous and offers numerous bourbons and also some very high quality swag. We reunited with our chum Paula and sampled their limited edition two-grain, which was created due to a fortunate mistake in which the rye wasn't added so it's just the corn and malted barley. You CAN see the difference and taste it; to me at least, it's more caramel-y than their normal single barrel. We each bought a bottle to bring back to the homeland. My chum basically bought half the store, but I remained calm/deliberate and my only other purchase was a MAGNIFICENT black hoodie. I'm not kidding - I love hoodies and have probably owned dozens over the years, and this is literally the best quality one I've had. It has this interesting front pouch pocket design with like a pocket within the pocket for high-priority items like your ID or credit cards, and the hood itself is interesting. It's just really good and I wore it all day the next day as we slowly made our way back to the East Coast. It's been washed and carefully placed in my closet, where it will reign supreme when the weather inevitably turns nippy again. It's not an exaggeration to say we probably spent hundreds of dollars (at least not thousands) directly and indirectly involving Angel's Envy on this trip. Worth it.

Just attended the grand reopening at the new location recently. They were in the process of moving when the pandemic hit and I had lost all hope the tasting room would never open again. The old location on 10th street was bigger than current location. It's smaller but long on the inside best way to describe it. So as I'm attending the grand reopening, it was later in the evening beings I was going to see a Band Play at Falls City for their Birthday Bash, so the place was still somewhat hopping. I think everyone else there had quite a bit to drink as well so they had to been there awhile. Staff behind the bar was friendly and greeted me promptly as I walked up to the bar. They didn't have any seating at the bar which was odd, everyone that was at the bar was standing. I asked what flavor slushy they had because I saw 2 of them. I was told one was the Singria and the other Kentucky White Lady, one of them suggested I mix them and that's exactly what I did. I stood at the bar and sipped on my slushy. I even walked the small space and saw they have candles scented like the wine but only had 2 different ones. They have more merch now than before. In conclusion, I'm very impressed with the new setting and having the opportunity to reopen. I hope they will host the Kickoff Party For Louisville Pizza Week this year, that's what got me to go their old tasting room. I've missed them having that party last 2 years. Thanks Covid.
