Bought a birthday cake from them for my son who has a dairy allergy. Was specifically looking for a dairy-free--but not vegan--cake and appreciated that this was also gluten and refined sugar free. I was a little nervous it would taste obviously dairy/gluten free but everyone (including myself and my toddler) loved it! As a cake enthusiast (cannot get enough of Dessert Gallery) I was absolutely impressed. It was delicious, moist, the right amount of dense, and had chocolatey frosting that tasted pretty similar to buttercream. It was also so cool to know that the entire thing was sweetened with maple syrup. Almost healthy, haha! The process of ordering was easy enough. I placed the order online, set a time, and we picked it up in less than 5 minutes. I was even able to reschedule my pickup time at Snap Kitchen via email with the staff. Very helpful and responsive. The cake did not come with the decorations pictured. I added those from Amazon. read more

I really appreciated the same day pickup option. It's such a convenient feature. It's also great that you can pick up orders at the Memorial Farmer's Market, which makes things even easier. I tried the cinnamon rolls, and they baked perfectly following the recommended temperature. I genuinely love this bakery and everything they offer. Gluten free desserts are so hard to find that are delicious, affordable, and actually safe to eat from cross contamination for someone with celiac disease. I'm so, so glad to have stumbled upon Bare Bakery. They made my birthday cake (Vanilla cake with mixed berry filling) and it was heavenly! The cake was moist, soft, and tasted great as leftovers when I'm so used to gluten free desserts crumbling or hardening up the next day. All of their other treats and delicacies look amazing too, and I can't wait to try more items off the menu soon! read more

Bare Bakery has the most delicious baked goods!! I tried some of their brownies years ago. OMG - they were fantastic! They are gluten and dairy free. I was trying to cut down/eliminate refined sugar and many of their offerings are without these two ingredients also. Through the years, my husband, daughter, and now son-in-law have their favorite bare bakery goods. We have continued our love affair with the brownies, and added the raspberry vanilla ("wedding") cake (my husband's favorite), lemon and honey cake (my favorite), chocolate chip cookie cake (my daughter's favorite and the mini cakes - my son-in-law's favorite. These cookies and cakes have never disappointed. The are consistently delicious and up our happiness level when one of these delicious cakes are on our table (or counter:). read more

I'd been following the bakery on social media and needed a gf/v dessert for Thanksgiving. I ordered a chocolate pecan pie that was still warm when it was given to me! It was divine. Even the non-GF folks loved it! They have a very diverse menu and excited about trying some other pies, cakes and cookies. I understand they are at a few farmers markets. I picked mine up at the new location that's a little out of my way but worth the drive. Loved the drive up system for Covid purposes. It was easy to find and no wait. Received the honey lemon cake as a birthday gift. It did not disappoint at all. Not too much lemon and just a touch of sweetness. I do NOT like grocery store cakes at all. I eat clean and was very impressed by how tasty it was without thinking this tastes "healthy." (Code for okay at best) It was special indeed. Looking forward to trying their other cakes. We picked it up at the shop, and the box was wrapped in a cute bow, it looked so cute and fancy. Each box comes with four flavors, and you get two of each flavor, so a total of 8 mini cakes. The box was $35. It is a perfect little cake tasting box for a picnic, date night, a small friends/family tea party, or of course treats for just yourself. I have a very "difficult" family. I'm plant based, my sisters gluten free, and another family is allergic to peas. Finding a bakery that fits ALL of our diets is hard. Really hard. Making special occasions even harder. Then I stumbled upon Bare Bakery. So far it's the only place I know of in Houston that can cater to everyone in my family. Most places can serve one of us but not the other. The owner is super nice and works with you when needed. The cake was amazing. My only concern was getting their contact information was really hard. I had to contact them maybe three different ways and in the end she ended up messaging me. I would suggest posting your number somewhere. It took too much work to find your contact information for something I felt was urgent. It would be very helpful especially with the hours the business runs. We ordered a 5" lemon and honey cake for my daughter's grad party. She has many sensitivities and typically doesn't enjoy desserts. But this cake...!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!! Can you sense my gratitude for the deliciousness of this cake? It was better than the more commercialized bundt like dessert I purchased for other guests! Fresh, light, lemony cake texture, the lemon curd filling was not cloying sweet. This pricey little cake was worth EVERY cent I paid. Y'all, Kelly is an all-star baker with amazingly guilt-free options to satisfy any sweet tooth. She is who my husband calls when its my birthday and he needs to order a cake that will work with my food sensitivities (dairy-free, soy-free, gluten-free, gum-free). I ordered a birthday cake last weekend and it was probably the best cake I had in my life and I grew up in Europe with cakes and pastries everywhere. It was an Italian Cream with cream cheese frosting, moist and not too sweet with just the right amount of nuts in it. Kelly was great to work with and it was complete no contact pick up. read more

Kelly did a small cake for my wedding, for my new husband and I to have for cake cutting ceremony and a small portion for our anniversary. It was the perfect size and the cake was sooooooo tasty! My husband tried to give me a small sliver when we did the cake cutting and that wasn't going to work for me! Ordered a cake for my daughter's one year cake smash birthday. I sent over a pic of what I wanted it to look like along with some ingredient restrictions. Not only did the cake turn out beautifully, she added some beauriful fresh flowers as a cake topper which made the cake even more beautiful. The customer service I received was impeccable and my questions were answered promptly. I absolutely LOVE Bare Bakery's treats. My mom was in town for Thanksgiving and has dietary restrictions- I wanted to make sure she had dessert options so I got her a variety of treats from Bare Bakery at the farmers market. I seriously don't have enough words to express how delicious the desserts are from Bare Bakery. I have been eating her desserts for years and I swear, somehow they are getting better and better. They are the kind of desserts I really can't stop eating, but fortunately, since they're made with high-quality ingredients and without any dairy, grains, or refined sugar, I don't have to feel about it! Major win!! I recently started a plant-based diet and had some of her vegan ice cream sammies and swore I was in heaven; definitely the best ice cream sandwichI'vee ever had in my entire life. (and i have had a LOT of ice cream sandwiches in my lifetime!) I actually wanted to eat the second one I had, even though I was full, but I didn't want to hog them both (I was staying with family, lol). Ordered a double chocolate cake from Kelly. I'm pretty sure I am addicted to her frosting now! I could eat a whole tub full. I don't know how she does it, but I'm so thankful she does! So grateful that I can find all natural, refined sugar and gluten free yummies in Houston. The cake itself was so moist and delicious. Bare Bakery is filling the void of gluten-free, naturally sweetened desserts in Houston and beyond! We only use grain-free flours and unrefined, natural sweeteners to achieve a superior product high in quality and taste. We strive to meet the needs of dietary-restricted children and adults due to allergies, intolerance, or personal preference. Established in 2015.

It all started in a 40 square foot kitchen in a small two bedroom apartment and baking for a farmers market every other weekend. Now, we bake in a commercial kitchen space, have several retailers across town, and crank out birthday cakes all week! We love that we're continuously reaching more and more people in need of our goods as word starts to spread about our growing little bakery!

First of all the staff is just like visiting family, hospitality is unmatched, excited to see you like you come in all the time and she let me sample a couple items that I really just ended up buying anyway. I didn't eat the petit four's because it wasn't for me lol. But the shortbread the cookies with the orange and pineapple filling are to die for! I don't like overly sweet pastries and dessert and this was the perfect balance. But the combo of the staff and the pastry amazing! I'll update when I get to try the breads

I came in for an afternoon sweet treat and a coffee pick me up. I decided to try their seasonal fresh mint mocha and sticky toffee loaf even though their cinnamon rolls were calling my name. The sticky toffee loaf was super moist and was just the right size vs their huge, rich cinnamon rolls which was a little too much for a small snack. Service is counter service, but the workers are super friendly. It looked like they had people coming in to order specialty wedding cakes as well. Thank you Little Sister Cake Shop for a great afternoon pick me up. I'll be sure to come back more often whenever I'm in the area next, there are so many other sweet treats I want to try, enjoy!

It felt like a very welcoming and relaxed environment, with plenty of space and people dining and socializing throughout the cafe. I didn't try the food but did have a (Healthy) lemonade that was refreshing. Their menu is pretty extensive, with lots of baked goods, coffee, and health-conscious non-alcoholic drink options.. They also clearly label gluten-free items, and there's a nice assortment of snacks available to order as well. Parking was easy thanks to a large parking lot, and the space was clean and calm overall. Definitely a comfortable spot to hang out.. we'd happily come back.
