I'm only in town a couple times a year and I don't always make it to the downtown area. During our most recent visit, we stayed at an Airbnb nearby and I finally got to visit Shift (YAY!)... What a great local coffee shop! The inside is cute & minimal and I loved the mural spanning the space. The staff was super friendly as we perused the menu, and my decision was easy once I saw that they have a seasonal fall menu featuring house made syrups. The carrot cake one immediately caught my eye, and I ordered a carrot cake latte. My husband got the classic pumpkin spice and yep, it was like drinking fall in a cup. It's so cool to see a gem like this reppin' the hometown. Also cool that they brew Bandit Coffee (out of St. Pete) which we are big fans of. Wishing them continued success and I look forward to coming back the next time I'm in the area!

That is not a taste that I have any interest in developing as I would rather eat grass mixed with seaweed than sip on Matcha. Getting that out of the way, on a trip to Ft. Meyers, a request for Matcha was made and sure enough we spent the early morning yelping for Matcha and found this place. It looks fairly new and is part of an apartment t complex. The place is small, and sure enough the clientele fitted the Matcha seekers that have popped up in all urban areas. There were Lululemon' on display, women with tiny dogs, bodies that should all be on the cover of magazines and foreign cars in the parking lot. My daughter got her Matcha which set her on a high energy mood and excited for the rest of the day, so atleast I got something out of it. I did not want to be seen anywhere near a Matcha place so had my dark glasses on, a cap and stayed close to the entrance. My daughter did order me a chocolate chip cookie to make up for my misery and In all fairness it was really good. My daughter raved about her Matcha hence the 4 stars. So if you are craving Matcha, carry a small dog and fit in Lululemon clothing you have found your match!!

I picked my own and thought it was a fun way to try several of their lattes! I believe you can get it hot or iced but definitely dine in if you get this! I also got a breakfast crepe which was delicious, crispy, and filling. My husband got a bagel sandwich which was also huge! We loved everything we got and the menu is big enough that you could come several times and try new things. They have a back area with tons of seating too. Lots of folks were working on laptops and there were a few dogs. It was a bit pricey but seems par for the area. Overall, I'd definitely add this to my list of favorite spots in Fort Myers!

I always try a Mocha at a new spot - the taste did not disappoint! Really delicious and well made, I have a few "special order asks", oat milk, half sweet, etc. And the barista did well. 4/5 due to price. I paid nearly $11 for a mocha that I pay $5 at Dean's, within the Luminary downtown (which is organic coffee) and even Starbucks is $8 something. Too pricey for local coffee when there is lots of new competition out there!

They have lots of fun coffee options, including creative seasonal drinks, and most of the pastries are made in-house. We've tried several items so far and have enjoyed everything. If you visit on a Sunday, it's cinnamon roll day! They offer four different flavors, and of course we had to try all four. Each one was unique and absolutely delicious. Rize Café has quickly earned a spot in our regular coffee shop rotation, and we're looking forward to coming back again.

As we entered the lobby the amazing aroma of coffee filled the air. We walked to the coffee shop where we found whole bean house blend organic coffee in bags. We bought a bag. We had been searching to good whole bean coffee since we moved here weeks earlier. Well we knew we found our coffee roaster the next morning when I ground some of the beans for our morning brew. WOW! The coffee was amazing! The next time we need coffee we will stop when we can have a cup there and buy a couple more packages. Your coffee checks all the high quality coffee boxes and then some! The coffee bar has several different roasts and flavored coffees to try, or you can order the coffee bar as your drink and get a mug for unlimited self-serve refills. We ordered their signature iced coffee, and it was delicious. The food menu has plenty of ways to customize your meal. I had the crab salad sandwich with a side of cinnamon bread, and it was fantastic. I'm not a fan of celery, but it was finely chopped instead of having big chunks, so it was perfect. Overall, this was a wonderful experience with great food, delicious coffee, and genuinely friendly service. I'm really glad we found Sweet Bean, and it's definitely a place we'll be coming back to.

We had both sweet (nutella and fruit) and savory (melted pimento cheese with bacon, pickled onions, and green aioli). The melted pimento waffle was outstanding. The iced latte was good and the homemade vanilla was tasty. Also had one of their sparkling water drinks. The not so good - we've seen warnings that they need time because everything is made to order. That's fine, and in fact we prefer it that way. BUT, the place isn't that big and 50 minutes from ordering to service is a long time. It only takes baking the waffle and adding a few toppings... Go when you haven't seen someone in a long time and want to have an extended conversation. They ask for 20 percent tipping. We always tip really well and don't have a problem with that. But you order and pay at the counter and someone just brings out the food. Tables are not checked on at all and so many tables sat for extended time before they were serviced after diners left. We'll go back because the food was really good, but know you need to have lots of time because you pay up front and it's going to be a long while for your food.
