He forgot to put in my food order and says 'oh shit.' Doesn't even apologize. We took a cab there to hVe a few drinks without worrying and only had 2 beers because of his selfish work ethic. Probably won't be returning. Such a shame because this area needs a good bar like this. The owner needs to be there and see whats going on because he is losing alot of money he could be making. Went there after concert, the food was great. We had hamburgers, chicken dumplings, pretzel, sesame salad. All was perfect. I had onion rings with my hamburger, they were real onion rings, not chopped. They waitress was very friendly and attentive. They food is reasonably priced. The only thing is that they need better deserts. They have TV screens throughout the restaurant. The restaurant is very clean, the bar area was very busy, but was not too loud. We came here this summer and sat at the bar and had a burger for dinner. The food and service were impeccable. We couldn't understand why the reviews were so poor. As I sit here now, after over an hour of being here, this is my experience. 1. The waiter was missing, we got a drink when we sat down and that was all. He got us water after we finished our meal when he finally came back to clear our plates. That was the only time he checked in on us. 2. The food was terrible. The mozzarella cheese smelled and tasted like it had turned bad. 3. The men working in the kitchen were so loud that is all we heard. 4. Went tonight before a show. We were seated pretty quickly but then waited a good 15 minutes before a very rude waitress came over. We never even got waters! Our food came after about another 30 minutes. We had a show to catch and were running close so one of our party asked for our check and was told to "have a seat" by our waitress. My husband and I stopped in for dinner. We were seated promptly. Our waiter was attentive. I was impressed with how clean the dining area was. I mean seriously clean. We ordered buffalo chicken flatbread pizza as an appetizer, it was absolutely delicious. I had ordered the steak sandwich, cooked medium. It was served still purple, not edible to my taste. I had never been to Barefoot Peddler before, but had heard good things about it from my parents. My mom's sister has said that it was expensive so I was a little nervous. When I walked in, I saw a sign that said "23 & Older". My immediate reaction was "oh dang, they aren't going to let me in" and "That's strange." After about 5 minutes of standing there, a waitress told us to sit anywhere. No carding, no 'how old are you'? When our waiter arrived he once again didn't ask me my age and didn't even card me when I ordered a 7&7(but that might've been because I was with my mom). After looking at the menu, I would say that they are reasonably priced, not cheap, but reasonable. In the realm of Applebee's and Fridays. I will say some of the appetizers are a little more than I would expect, but nothing insane. Plus, I don't know how big the portions are. I got a cheeseburger which was $13. Can't go wrong there. My mom got the Thanksgiving Dinner which was also reasonable. The parking lot is very small and the bathrooms are all the way down 2 flights of stairs, so I don't recommend if you have trouble with stairs(ie: wheelchair, walker, etc). One of the only negatives is when you get the bill(not before) on the bottom of the receipt it says 'please no gratuities on credit cards'. Well, thanks for letting me know! I started to worry because I knew that I didn't have enough cash to leave an adequate tip(I like to tip around 20% unless the service is less than what I would expect). Thankfully when I got the credit card slip, it said 'cash tip preferred' where you can enter the gratuity. But overall I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and would return. read more

However, the burgers are always solid, grilled chicken caesar salad (served with the chicken on skewers) is also on point and it's the only place in recent memory that gets roast beef au jus just right! Tender roast beef, not too thick, just a little mozzarella and the actual juice from the cooked beef - not some lame Quiznos-esque gravy. The fries are always a treat (sweet and curly both good as well, but just their regular fries are very good). Definitely like to stop in whenever I'm hungry and in the area. read more

Ended up going here in a group of 7 and that was the first ding - they looked a little baffled at first that we said 7 and not 4. This place would be ideal for a group of 4 (maybe 5 at most) but for 7 it was difficult, although they were able to put a couple of tables together. Now, let's get down to it. The beer selection was OK - nothing spectacular, but plenty of a variety. Started off with a Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA which tasted a bit flat to me. Fine, it happens - I just switched to a Brooklyn Lager after. The food was delicious - I cannot deny this. I had a Southwest Burger which featured BBQ sauce and fried onion rings. Yum. The fries were also delicious. If you just can judge a place by the burger, we would be golden. The problem came with the level of service. It was a Saturday night and the place wasn't crazy busy or anything, but it seemed like we had to wait for everything. We waited a while to order and then we waited far too long for the check. Plenty of staff went by our table as we waited (with empty glasses and plates) for our check or even a refill of water! We decided to come here again and we wished we didn't. We should have taken the hint when we walked in the door and waited five minutes for someone to even notice we were waiting to be seated. We then tried to order some draft beers and two of the selections they didn't have, disappointed. We ordered a couple of burgers, when they came out my wife's burger wasn't prepared the way the menu stated, we brought this to the server's attention and he offered to bring it out to us but we declined because it should have been done right the first time especially since we were the only customers ordering food. The place was empty. A couple at the bar and a party of four wrapping up lunch. There wasn't another soul eating in the restaurant, how do you screw this up? To top it all off both burgers were over cooked. Which sealed the deal. Not good. The server did offer us another drink on the house but honestly we felt he should have offered to either take the cost of one of the meals or at the very least take off the drink we already ordered. Instead he rather give us a drink on the house. Sorry but that's just a little tacky. For us this place went downhill fast. Hosted a dinner for 12 here the other night. The wait staff was friendly and attentive. The food was some great pub food. Started with nachos, and a sampler plate of potato skins, wings, and mozzarella sticks. These were as good as anywhere else. For dinner, I had the "inside out" burger. Grilled onions, cheese & bacon stuffed inside the burger. Cooked perfectly, juicy and delicious. For desert, we all shared the Cookie and the Lava Cake. These were soooo good. Great place for a beer , but if you are considering afternoon lunch on a busy Saturday forget about it. Ordered our food 45 minutes later our server ask us if we ordered yet, our order didn't go through . Finally got our food . Burger was good but salad were not fresh , pizza sucked. Then when paying tab I got someone else tab charged my debit card $117 for a $65 tab, then asked for a manager, they then hit my card for an additional $52 instead of giving me credit. Finally charged me the $65. I now have $ 169 extra charge on my card , money I can't use until the banks open Tuesday since it's a holiday weekend . Barefoot Peddler is a fairly spacious pub with ample seating and a wide array of drinks, especially when it comes to beer. The staff is for the most part very helpful and the log cabin-esque feel really gives the place a calm relaxed vibe. The food selection is your standard pub fare although the burgers are definitely above that of your average pub, with the inside out burger being my favorite! Most of the other items don't stand out though and are only average. Some of the appetizers are very skimpy with the portions considering the high prices they charge for them. It's a great place to go with friends if you just want to kick back and have a nice drink. You could do far worse than Barefoot Peddler. read more

My friend and I stopped in tonight before an event down the road at the museum. She was drinking a glass of wine at the bar, I ordered a Fat Tire on tap that tasted like straight mold. I took a few sips thinking it would get better but it only got worse. It smelled bad too. We ordered jalapeño poppers, which would be more appetizing if they came from a supermarket frozen section. They had no taste, no spice and fell apart. It also came out with Russian dressing as a dip?? Our chicken quesadilla came out tasteless, rubbery chicken, definitely not fresh. They put the bread in my soup instead of on the side and that made it a strange texture anddd there was wayyy too much cheese to the point where it was sticking to my plastic spoon. I am not one to write reviews on Yelp, but I just could not let this one go. I have been to Barefoot Peddler at least half a dozen times with my family for a sunday dinner and to watch football. Beware if you order anything but Beer, wings, nachos, salads or burgers. The service is ALWAYS slow. I decided to try the Salmon , ignoring the warnings from my family, and after waiting an hour, it finally came out over-seasoned, dry, over-cooked and a small piece of tail for $21.95 with Broccoli stems. It was inedible and I can eat almost anything. My son ordered the ribs which were inedible as well. The waiter did not even have the sense to ask me if I wanted something else, which I would have taken. The owner finally came out and comped the meal, but I would have gladly paid to get a decent meal. I am absolutely DONE with this place. read more

Nice Irish sports theme. The Bartender I think the name is Francis, complete hot head and rude. I preferred putting cash in his pocket when I wrote theft on tip through a credit card because Every one knows they take a percentage out of that tip which wasn't fair. He then threatened to call the police which was unnecessary, so as I tried to explain but he wouldn't listen and viciously pulled my chair out as I was getting my things together, got very close to my face and thankfully a woman intervened. Went to the bar on a Friday happy hour 4-6???, beer was great, they have a pretty wide selection (I got a Peronii) and fully loaded nachos. Price was only $10 and it all was great.
