Count me out fam. According to our Uber driver, this part of SJ PR is stuffy AF! And that's not from the sticky humidity in the air. Well, he was absolutely right. This shop proved that and it kinda felt like a doctors office, rather than a coffee shop. Instead of folks chatting about and meeting each other, it was a super sterile environment that is absolutely not my speed. I like to chit chat, but here, that's tough sledding. Baristas didn't say a single world to each other in the 20 minutes we were there. They took our orders and didn't say a word. Really odd vibe and just not for me. But hey, maybe they were hacked off about something and were having a bad day. Highly unlikely, but it's all good. I doubt I will ever find my way back to PR anyway. read more

Iced Military Coffee: overhyped! If you're a fan of the regular iced shaken espresso or iced dirty chai at Starbucks, this is not worth it. It's bland, no body, and has neither matcha nor coffee flavor. There was no taste of vanilla at all. You have to add a lot of sweetener if you want to make it taste like something, which will make it unhealthy. I regret wasting my steps on my Apple Watch. 1 star. Service: There were 5 people ahead of me but the line moved very quickly. Other past customers have complained about an unfriendly female barista, but the one I had today was very friendly with good customer service. Stopped here before my spa appointment and was very pleased. I had the military latte which is blend of espresso, matcha, and vanilla with oat milk. It was surprisingly good I just added some honey. Then I can't remember what breakfast sandwich I had but it was really good, I think it was hams and cheese with an egg. I got it on brioche. It was tasty and filling. The service was quick. Trendy, artistic, and pretty darn good. Located at the heart of Condado Beach, this coffee shop is a combination of American modernism and Puerto Rican cuisine. The food: Monte Cristo - French toast sandwich with Turkey, cheese and powdered sugar on top. First off, I love Monte Cristos but I rarely order them because of the extremely high sugar content and I really don't like sweets that much. That said- this monte cristo had the lightest fluffiest French toast I've ever had. I wish the dish had a littttllee more salt in it but that's probably personal preference. If you love French toast, you'll probably love this dish. The drink: Iced Military Latte - matcha, cocoa, vanilla, and espresso with milk (I chose oat). I'm a caffeine fiend and I love a good well crafted coffee drink and BOY! This drink is definitely a unique experience. I am WIDE awake after this. I can't say much about the flavor. I think I just don't like matcha particularly... it's definitely an earthy drink with the matcha and cocoa. If you like matcha chocolate you'll like this drink. read more

I do not know how long this place has been open but can tell you that they know how to make good coffee. Located near La Concha hotel, go give them a try - so much better than Starbucks. Nice location for a morning cuppa across from Hotel La Concha. Oat milk is available for an extra charge. Coffee here is particularly good. Liked the tea but it was a little too sweet for me. They were out of brioche this morning so didn't get to try the French toast this morning. Tried the pancakes with berries instead and they were some really good pancakes. Stumbled on this coffee shop while staying at LaConcha. I'm so happy I did. They play upbeat music while you wait. It is small, but not uncomfortably small while you wait for your order. There are a few tables to sit and eat inside and a few outside. I had the frittata which came with your choice of bread - including pancakes and French toast as an option. My second time there I got the frittata again and the cereal milk latte after reading some other Yelp reviews. Giving this place 4 out 5 only because they lack hygiene in their establishment. Came here three times during our trip and we always had to wipe our table and pick up the plates left on the table. As a barista myself - whose in the process of opening a cafe in NYC in the coming month. I have to say this place was everything I was looking for here in San Juan. I ordered a cortado as well as a pocillo for myself and my girlfriend ordered an iced chagaccino. The cortado and pocillo (basically a slightly larger ~1oz larger cortado) were made to just the right temperature, for those who care the latte art was great as well, and the espresso itself was very evenly extracted. We also ordered some breakfast - a breakfast burrito with your choice of fillings and a French toast with fruit. Both were prepared in a timely fashion and were greatly portioned. They also have plenty of pastry and other options as well, we tried the coconut pecan loaf which was amazing. Considering the busy flow of customers, the barista pulling the shots and making the drinks was conversational and friendly which shows a true sign of expertise in his element. this was a great coffee shop conveniently located outside my hotel in Condado. The staff was friendly and helpful and followed Covid protocols with masks and limited capacity. I tried the bonbon latte w/ Almond milk. Highly recommend if it's your first time! Had just the right amount of flavor and sweetness. Also tried the Military latte, also not bad though a tad bitter if you're into that. The only negative I will say is the time I ordered the Military latte my barista told me it was available, but the next party that asked for it's availability with another barista were told it was not available.
