She smelled great, had a wonderful time with the ladies and the other dogs being worked on. The energy is loving and lighthearted in Bark Avenue Groomers. Our girl had a wonderful time and, wow, what a transformation! Our family laughed hard at the shock of our fluffy Gund Bear turned into a show pony! And the flower was an adorable touch. The ladies spent their time with her, were extremely thorough, and she looks flawless. Also, Katy was so easy to communicate with. I had asked to go short to give me a break from combing hair every darn day and our girl is loving a break from the heat. I have also had a great experience on the phone when I have reached out to get advised on grooming brushes because we have a very curly haired dog and my brush wasn't cutting it. Now we have a refreshed doggy with a great Summer do! I'm very grateful and it was a wonderful experience. It also felt like a bit of doggy daycare, to be honest. Our dog is a bit older and Bark Avenue Groomers does a fantastic job. Our dog's breath was absolutely horrendous and she had a musty smell. What a wonderful, beautiful, and clean establishment. Friendly and warm staff welcomed my dog with open arms. This pandemic has left me with out a groomer and they were willing to make accommodations to see me on short notice. First and last time visiting this location. I told the lady that it was my puppy first grooming. I dropped off the puppy. After I went to pick up my puppy, the owner tells me " your dog barks a lot, it's bad for my business. People thinks I'm abusing dog at this place. You puppy needs training. He scratched me and bit me." Remind you, I told her it was his first grooming. Let me tell what's bad for your business. Writing this review about your business is a bad for your business. Going out to social media and sharing my experience at your location is bad business for you. I believe she needs training on how to approach people and say what she needed to say without being rude to her customer. read more

Love this place! Grooming our 80-lb goldendoodle Murphy is no small task. Bark Avenue always does such a fantastic job and sends him back looking adorable and feeling great. I can really tell that they spend extra attention to details. They have a large, open space, which is very inviting and seems to be a really comfortable environment for the dogs to spend a few hours. I am very disappointed in the owner of this business. I missed my appointment this morning to have my dog groomed due to an emergency, and this was supposed to be my second time going. I left a very apologetic message on the phone asking to reschedule. She called me back and proceeded to call me a b****, demanding a $30 no show fee and refused to reschedule. This was extremely unprofessional and out of line. You lost a customer for good, and I would definitely not recommend that anyone go here. I would not trust a person like this with my pet ever again, nor should you. Shame on this business owner. read more

I've taken my dog to Bark Avenue Groomers 5 times since March. The first three times there was a lovely young groomer, Marilyn, who took great care of my girl. The fourth time I took my pup, I noticed it was the owner, Nazik, that was going to do the grooming and not Marilyn. When I asked about her, Nazik said she had to let her go. I was disappointed, but didn't know then how much I really would be. This fourth cut took over four hours. When I went to pick her up, Nazik explained that my dog had matting on her ears and that she had to spend a lot of time to get it out. Ok, I thanked her for her work, asked about a matting comb that I could purchase, paid (she charged me more than the previous three times), tipped 30% and left. I was not satisfied at all with her cut - she didn't cut her tail at all, it was uneven (I had to cut around her chin and body), didn't clean her ears and her length was longer than her last three cuts. Nazik called and said she forgot to clean her ears and that I could bring her in anytime. Ok fair enough, I thought, I'd give her another chance with the next cut. I really wish I hadn't!!! My husband went to take her to our 9a appointment and no one was there. He called Nazik and she thought it was a different day but said she could take her at 4p. My husband dropped her off at 4pm and let her know that her matting was pretty bad and that she'd probably have to get shaved. We called a little after 7p because we hadn't heard from her and she said her matting was bad and that she'd call when she was done. About 20 mins later she called and we went to pick her up. My dog freaked when she saw us. Nazik said her matting was bad and that we need to brush her more often. I agreed that we waited too long this time (10 weeks instead of 8) and explained that I try to brush her often but she's not a fan of it and I've even been trying with the matting comb. Then I go to pay and she looks at her board for a minute and says $100. I made a comment that it's more and more every time I come ($55 the first, then $65, last one was $75). She claims it was $25 more because of the dematting (but she completely shaved her) and she didn't charge us the $10 for teeth brushing (that was because she messed up the time of the appointment). I said I don't want to argue with you, I just want to pay and leave and I would not be coming back. Now, she goes completely berserk - screaming at me, berating me, accusing me of neglecting my dog. If the matting was so bad that she couldn't do anything for my pup, she should have called me, explained the issue and I would have taken her to the vet. It's clear I don't neglect my dog since I've been bringing her to her establishment every 6-8 weeks to get groomed. My pup is also very petite, something we've discussed with our vet since getting her. We had some tests done and everything came back normal. Our vet says some dogs are petite and some are bigger, there's no need to worry as long as she's eating and healthy. Well Nazik went as low to say that I "probably forget to feed her too". The audacity of this woman is unparalleled to anyone I have ever dealt with. She continued to scream at me as we were leaving and said "Go F**k yourself". I'm all for small businesses and not for name calling, that is beneath me, but I want to make aware the type of business and person you are dealing with here.
