They did an awesome job of introducing her to haircuts as a puppy and while she started out nervous with some excitement issues, each time we've seen a noticeable improvement with how she behaves. The groomers are patient and skilled, we are yet to have a haircut we didn't love. Shorter summer cut, more custom winter cut, you name it they're consistent. Our pup always comes home happy. Yes a little more pricey compared to some other groomers in town but it is worth the extra cost.

Alvi's Grooming Spa has good reviews all around, most reviews mentioning the reasonable rates, so I decided to give him a call. Alvi was easy to reach -- no voicemail phone tag. He picked up when I called and I brought my dog over right afterwards. Alvi had the proper flea treatment and gave my girl a deep clean. He even took some Halloween-themed photos of her and he probably spoiled her. He's clearly a dog lover! I came to pick her up, and she was hanging out with his pittie-- treated like one of his own. Of course the best part is that the fleas are gone, my dog smells good (for once) and that bath really took care of the shedding. I'm now adding a periodic visit to Alvi's as part of her routine grooming regimen.

Jamie was very accommodating setting Martin up for a trail half day of daycare and we've been using their daycare services ever since. Martin does full days, half days, and has spent the night there once. Unlike Bow Wow, Urban Dog is setup in the basement of a brownstone. The dogs are all together and they are able to come and go into the outdoor courtyard as they wish. They have several couches that the dogs can play or rest on, which Martin really enjoys. We never have an issue scheduling a day care visit last minute. Jamie and the other workers look out for Martin since he's an old deaf pup that just needs a cozy spot to chill.

I took my chances with You Lucky Dog and they were able to accommodate Benji (6 month old Cockapoo) for a Full Spa Package. I received a text message the day before that they had to switch the time from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. The place shares space with a Vet company. They are cage free. Gina greeted my sister & I when we dropped Benji off. She made me feel comfortable leaving him. We briefly reviewed what he was getting done and we were told to expect to get him in about 2.5 hrs. They charged my sister by phone to limit contact. She was able to add tip as well. My sister was a bit surprised that the total with tip was $93 as the website has the full package starting at $65.00. It is pricier than the other places we had in mind. Overall (4.5 stars), we were happy with Benji's look and cleanliness (just look at the picture!). We have plans on checking one other place before deciding which will be Benji's go to groomer.
