6/4/21 I have been a…read morecustomer at St. Micheal vet for well over 6 years. Never really an issue with them, so I continue to see them and pay thousands for their service. Today I stopped by to pick up meds. I am told no one can come inside. Yet, staff is outside with their faces right next to customers open windows with no mask. Inside staff is either not wearing mask or wearing it covering half their face. (I don't much care if you wear a mask or not.) I asked why they are not letting people in and she says, we are behind on whats going on. So, I ask to speak to a vet to learn why no one can come in at this point. She informs me there is no vet on staff. I asked to speak to a manager to express that many people would like to come in with their pets and other vets are relaxing their covid rules. The lady again says there in no manager on staff. At this point they leave me to believe there is no licensed veterinary on staff and they're not allowing owners in because of this fact. Techs are doing the vets job and charging full fee to see a vet vs a tech.

I gave a 4-star review and Mary was not happy about it. She reached out to me inquiring why it was not 5. I was feeling bullied into giving a 5. I told her how my dogs love it there and I thought 4 was a good rating.... We had an exchange and I could go into details, but again, I won't. I don't feel the need to smear somebody and be petty online. I told her I was going to have to think about bringing them back because of how I was being treated but not that I wasn't going to. She basically referred me to other places and cancelled my info and will not allow me to log in. If anyone wants to reach out to me privately, feel free and I will explain further. This note has NOTHING to do with the staff. They were great. Owner was very unprofessional. I was extremely surprised at this. Thank you to all the staff who have loved on my babies. :)

Now, however,…read morethey have repeatedly reported they're under-staffed, and today upon picking up my dog from daycare, not only had she been allowed to chew up her harness, leash, and towel (which has never been an issue when staying for a full day of daycare previously), but also somehow she was able to chew through the plastic ziplock bag that contained her food (which was also still full of food, which again has never been an issue on previous days). Although I was told that dogs are not allowed near the bins where the bags of food are kept, I was told by a worker while picking up my dog that "it looks like she got to her food bag," which is made of zip-lock plastic, and now I'm concerned with how much she ingested. Overall, the Lucky Pets staff is aware they're understaffed, but continue to accept dogs into their care that they do not have the staff to properly/safely watch and take care of. Extremely disappointed after how great it was a few weeks ago.

Our dogs were kept in the basement where we were not allowed to go. Neither one of them ate while we were gone and we were not notified of this and they both had developed diarrhea. No one told us anything until we picked them up! So we went to pick them up after we got back from Texas and could see that something was very wrong. They each had lost 4 lbs!!! The older one was so weak that by the next day she could not stand. We took her to the emergency vet in Coon Rapids where they gave her some IV fluids and prescribed some medication. We were lucky that she made it. Our other dog pulled through okay. The Bed and Bone is not a good place for dogs and there is no communication about your dog. After this incident, I never boarded my dogs again but used Rover to have someone come to the house and stay with them. I highly recommend them. It might cost more but it's worth it, not just in price but in care, plus you're not paying an emergency vet bill. Its a bad bad bad place!
