Don't use these guys! I ordered two yards of dirt with explicit instructions not to drop it in my driveway. My driveway is made of pavers and I didn't want their big fat truck pulling onto my pavers and I didn't want them blocking my garage door with the dirt. But when I arrived home I discovered that is exactly where they dumped it at the head of my paver driveway in front of my garage door. When I made the request, the girl who took my order assured me the driver had been driving for 20 years and was extremely competent. When I called to complain about this, the girl who took my order merely apologized and even suggested I could find chemicals at the local supermarket to clean the pavers! It wasn't until I told her that I wanted my delivery fee refunded that she even thought of that. There are other options nearby that are just as competitive and far more competent. read more

When visiting the Bark Blowers website, this company boosts their fantastic customer service as friendly and professional. We had a VERY different experience and I have actually never been so caught off guard by the treatment I received when calling to confirm my appointment. We set our appointment well in advance (several weeks) and it was confirmed by a vm from their office the night before that they would be arriving at 11. I made sure to be home from work for their arrival, when I called at 12:15 to inquire where they might be, I was greeted by an employee whom did not give their name, I inquired about my delivery and was rudely informed that his company does not EVER give times of delivery; my response was "I had a voicemail confirming the time of delivery". Instead of trying to find common ground and a solution for a customer service issue, he shot back that "I was incorrect and he didn't understand why we were arguing about this situation". My response was, "I agree I don't understand why we are either as I have a confirmation voicemail from one of your employees and I'm the customer"! Again, he cut me off and responded that "his behavior was just who he was and he wasn't going to apologize for it". At this point, I was done having an argument and moved on asking him to look for our delivery and around what approximate time I could expect them. He asked for my name and address and after putting me on hold, told me there was no delivery scheduled for today. A blatant lie. Thinking I had reached a different office, I said goodbye and called another office. This time, I reached a woman at their Tigard location and asked her the same question, not knowing that she was actually in the same office with him. She found us in the system and I asked her when we could expenct delivery. While she was checking, I asked her if she was in the same office as the man I had just spoken to and she said, "yes, he's the owner". At this point, I asked her to please cancel my delivery, as I was not doing business with any company that had that type of customer service. The comments he made to me, not to mention the tone of his voice, interrupting me and loudly talking over me were so upsetting that I have actually taken the time to file a formal complaint with the BBB. In all of my years, I have never been compelled to do this about a company and I want to get the word out to everyone that is considering using this company. There are many other company's out there that provide this same type of service, I caution you to investigate before you spend your money supporting this type of unprofessionalism in our community. read more

We ordered 4 units coarse fir to be blown in today. The crew called to let us know when they would be here and showed up on time. They were courteous and followed our instructions completely. We asked them to apply a heavy coat, and not to spare the product. To get the coverage we asked for, they had to use the entire truck load, which was 5 units, but they were nice enough to only charge us for 4.5 units. They did an incredible job cleaning up the sidewalks, plants, and the house, spending almost as much time cleaning as they did blowing it in. With the heavy application of bark dust, we should be good for several years. Our yard now looks amazing. I highly recommend Barkblowers. read more

I'm a first time customer with Bark Blowers and had about 2 cubic yards of aged hemlock blown in. The price and quality was top notch but the customer service was sub-par. There is a narrow strip running around my yard that I chose to omit after speaking with the techs. Mistake. I called back the next day hoping that this could be fixed for a small fee but was told I would need to pay the minimum 0.5 yard price. Understandable but disappointing nonetheless. Make sure you get it right the first time. You won't be given any favorable treatment once they're out the door. read more

I scheduled this company weeks in advance to blow in 2 units of bark dust on my residential property. I confirmed the appointment the day before and was assured mine would be their first stop of the day. I had 2 people arrive by 8:30 to help spread the bark and also put off another bit of work I had been trying to schedule for weeks because I was assured they would be here first thing. By 10:45 we wondered where they were so I called their office. Their receptionist, Samantha (with whom I had confirmed late afternoon the previous day), informed me that I was now the second stop. No explanation, no apology, just defensiveness and passing the buck until she hung up on me. And the topper - they decided not to show up at all and didn't bother to tell me. read more

Fast, friendly service at a reasonable price. I needed two cubic yards of 3/4-minus gravel delivered for a landscaping project I wanted to do over the weekend. When I called on a Friday to place the order, the front desk person said it would most likely be for delivery the next day which meant I couldn't start my project until it was delivered. When I mentioned that, she said they'd try to get it delivered later that day. To make a long story short, the driver totally accommodated me and had the load delivered not 4 hours later. They dumped it exactly where I wanted and were on their way. The price was competitive (not the cheapest, but within 10%), the staff was friendly and accommodating, and thanks to their going above and beyond, I got my project finished by 5pm that Sunday (if they hadn't delivered on the same day, I don't think I would have had time to finish that weekend). When it comes time for my next landscaping project, I will definitely buy from them again. read more

I highly recommend using bark blowers! The guys that came out to blow in, lady Island mulch did an awesome job!! They were very efficient and let me know that, this particular product has to be blown in very slowly, since it is dense. I recommend calling a few weeks before having the work completed, as they get very busy during spring and just before summer. read more

I was incredibly pleased with the service I received from this company. When I called for a quote I was given extra options that might be more cost effective. I called back the next morning to put in an order and was again given amazing service over the phone. They were able to come deliver the bark that same day. The two gentlemen that came to blow in the bark were very polite and sweet about letting my kids watch them work. They did an excellent job and cleaned up all the overblown bark.
