A very long overdue update & review, but better late than never!…read more After planning a trip out of the country, my "dog sitter" backed out at the last minute. And who to the rescue?! Rich and Marissa! Sadly, there is not an overnight option. However, I was gone for 6 days, and as promised, they were there early in the morning, again in the afternoon, and yet AGAIN late night to take care of my pup. When I say "take care", I don't mean it lightly! I came home to a diary of visit entries FROM EVERY VISIT--for SIX DAYS! Clearly, the proof was in the pudding as their visits were more than just a quick walk--but love, affection, play time, and attention. MY NEIGHBORS--even those I've never met, stopped me when I came home to say how happy my dog was when outside with Rich and Marissa, big smiles, tail wagging, etc. They all attested to the dedication of time put in by Paw Pals & how fantastic they were with my Naija. And, in each documentation, they were honest & sincere, and you could tell how much they love what they do each and every minute. I never once felt as though this was a burden or tribulation for them. True professionals--and good good people. I came home to the happiest I've seen my pup since I've had her! Not one ounce of resentment that I was gone! Also, I should mention--I have a special needs (three-legged) pit-bull, who suffers from the myriad of stereotypes! Boy did Paw Pals prove each one wrong! Their expertise in ALL breeds & "thinking out of the box" with my special needs pup shone through day in and day out while I was gone. Vitamins, food, appropriate exercise and down time was documented by both them AND the nosey nellies in my neighborhood. I can't praise them enough. I can't hire them enough. I can't appreciate them enough! This is the real deal--l couldn't take care of Naija better myself! I can't wait for their next visit! Keep your calendar open! Naija is anxiously waiting!!

I am really terrible about asking about a pet sitter last minute and she was always available even on that one occasion I asked only two days before we were scheduled to leave due to some last minute plans. She came in advance to meet our cat and our finicky girl took to her right away. She's sweet, professional, flexible, and took fantastic care of our cat over weekends and even 10 day vacations. I am an anxious pet parent and she sent regular photos of my cat to reassure me that my Bug was in good hands. Now, with all the coronavirus craziness, she is still checking in on her pets and making sure everyone is doing okay. Also, it's worth mentioning that her pricing is more than reasonable. Hire her to care for your pet and you won't be disappointed!

Molly has known him since he was a pup and has provided him with the affection he demands and the positive guidance he needs when his energy is over the top. Not only does Molly do a great job providing a safe and fun environment for by sweet boy--whether it be during walks, play dates, or daycare--she also works with him on some of his annoying habits (like jumping on people and stealing things) by using lots of positive reinforcement. I am an overprotective dog mom and I am so grateful that I never have to worry about Zuppa's wellbeing when he is in Molly's care. I don't know what we would do without her!

They truly cared for our Boston Terrier and treated him like their own pet. Nancy is incredibly organized; she assures you that her whole team is credible, talented, caring and accommodating. She's completely understanding when last minute things come up and provides more than enough notice if anything was ever to come up on their end. I'm pretty sure our dog Winston got more excited to see his dog walker, Scott, than he did us at times. Scott was so good to our dog. Every walk Winston got, Scott would leave a detailed note with whatever happened and would call personally if there were any concerns he had. We truly couldn't have asked for me. Bow Wow really was more than a business to us; we truly considered them part of our life and our dogs' as well. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again or recommend them to anybody looking for somebody to care for their pet!

The 2 stars given are mainly for the walkers and not the owner, Nancy. Our walker was absolutely fantastic and would send us pictures for the first several walks and reply to text messages quickly if we ever had concerns or questions. We stopped services, without another plan in place, after a series of poor management and customer service: Months before a 9-day vacation in June 2018, we secured our walker for pet sitting services. A week before we left, Nancy informed us that the walker would no longer be able to provide the pet sitting services and she had no back up sitter, nor were we aware that there was no back up sitter. She offered to pay for one specific boarder that does not have a website or email. We declined as Meli had never been boarded before and we preferred that she stay at our house or another home to be cared for. We ended up spending twice as much money and an incredible amount of time finding a last-minute sitter through Rover. Nancy did not offer to help pay for that even though she'd offered to pay for another boarder and was not very apologetic about the whole scenario and the inconvenience, stress, and money it cost us. We are asked to provide a two-hour window for Meli's walks. We have a security camera and can see when the walker arrives even when we're at work. One day, our walker came 25 minutes before the window began, meaning Meli was alone without a walk for 8 hours. I asked Nancy about this and requested Meli only be walked within the window we gave. A couple months later, in September 2018, our walker started coming 1.5 hours later than usual, still within the window, but without notice. When I saw he had not arrived when he usually does, I waited 20 minutes then contacted Nancy to verify that Meli was on the schedule for that day. I was almost to the train to go home and walk her myself when I noticed he arrived. Nancy did not get back in touch with us until the next day, stating that she was on an airplane and didn't understand why I was so worried. She waited 24 hours to respond to me and when she did had a tone of annoyance. A couple weeks later, today, I noticed that our walker had not arrived by the end of our walk window. My husband texted him and the walker stated Meli was not on the schedule, then realized he was looking at the schedule for a different day. Mistakes happen and we are not unreasonable people, but a few minutes later Nancy emailed us and said the walker had an "emergency" and was trying to get to Meli soon. She was trying to cover up a simple mistake by misleading us when we already knew the truth and we lost complete trust in her at this point. Her overall communication with us has been rude and with an annoyed tone any time we said/asked something beyond providing our weekly walk needs. We love our dog and want to make sure she's comfortable and cared for when we are not home. We are paying for a service and not asking too much. Nancy lacks compassion, empathy, and understanding for pets & their owners (and I'll bet her walkers/employees, too) and I would strongly advise against using her services. By the way, I have emails to back all of this up.

She's incredibly sweet and submissive with other dogs, but she loved to jump on people and had a habit of pulling hard on the leash during walks. At 60 pounds, it was definitely a lot to manage! From the start, Kylie and the Atlantic K9 team were amazing--professional, knowledgeable, and so caring. Brinley attended their two-week bootcamp, and I'll admit, it was hard sending her away for that long with no visits. I was worried she might feel abandoned, but Atlantic K9 made the experience so much easier. They uploaded pictures every day of her playing with other dogs, looking happy and confident, with a smile bigger than I've ever seen on her. It was clear she was having the time of her life--more like a fun vacation than "training camp." When Brinley came home, the transformation was incredible. She has great recall, walks beautifully on leash, and I can now even let her walk off-leash with full confidence. She's learned to stay in her "place," respond to "no" consistently, and--best of all--she no longer jumps on people! I'm so grateful to Kylie and the entire Atlantic K9 team for their compassion, communication, and the amazing results they delivered. Brinley is happier, calmer, and more connected to me than ever. I can't recommend Atlantic K9 Training enough!

We reached out the Atlantic at a complete loss of how to help our sweet Ollie boy succeed. They were nothing but kind, communicative and supportive during our initial conversations, and put us completely at ease about sending our boy to the two-week bootcamp, a choice that was incredibly hard for us! Ollie is a five year old Australian Shepherd/Poodle mix who went to training pre-pandemic and has always been incredibly shy with strangers. Before 2020, this manifested as leash reactivity and we were working hard at it when social distancing went into place. Post-pandemic, we tried every method we could find to try and help him with this, but despite all efforts, his reactivity increased tenfold to include dogs and small children. Sometimes he would he completely fine, and other times, he would aggressively bark and lunge at dogs and kids. It was so stressful that we started keeping him away from other dogs, and our small nieces and nephews to be safe. Ollie's alert barking additionally reached an all time high in the summer of 2023, and his counter-surfing was out of control. We decided it was officially time to get professional help. My husband and I want to start a family soon, and were terrified to think that Ollie's unpredictability could jeopardize his relationship with our future kids. His alert barking was creating a near-constant level of stress in our home, and we couldn't imagine how Ollie would be able to function happily or be involved as our family continues to grow. Throughout the two weeks of bootcamp, we got daily communication about Ollie's progress from the team and pictures of him playing happily during break times. Most importantly, however, K-9 Atlantic has completely transformed our boy, and given us the utmost confidence that Ollie will be the BEST big brother someday. He is literally like a different dog in all of the best ways. He's still our sweet, snuggly, silly boy, but without all of the incessant barking and sneakiness! His reactivity is now basically nonexistent, and he happily plays with our little nieces and nephews when they come over! He is a rockstar on and off-leash. We've even slowly integrated meeting new dogs in controlled settings, and he has been so very successful. He hasn't even counter surfed (despite us purposely leaving chicken on the counter in his reach in order to practice!!!!). Ollie's newfound confidence shines in his ability to meet new people and have experiences without all of the anxiety that he displayed prior to his time at K-9 Atlantic. He is the best version of himself, and we are so beyond proud of the good boy his has become!!! I don't know what magic the K-9 Atlantic team did with him while he was training, but we cannot believe that he is the same dog. He has been SO good, and an absolute angel while practicing. We are beyond grateful for everyone at Atlantic for truly transforming our boy and our lives. We can never thank you enough!
