I'm overdue in leaving a great review so here we go....***Disclaimer -- Have a drink first before proceeding with TMI** It started in 2012 pre-Orkin -- a German roach infestation. German roaches don't need food, they live off of your drywall and wall paint. I tried to bomb the place numerous times where the pets had to get dragged elsewhere for half the day. The bombings killed the bigger roaches but had no effect on their yeunglings -- the Force was strong with them. They managed to spread from my house to me & the roommates car, my parents house and who knows where else. Enter the Orkin man -- they did their own bombing and have come back every month since 2013. There is peace-of-mind in knowing that I will never have to deal with that again! The pets send their special thanks! Florida is overwhelmed with bugs and it's so nice for them not to be living here any longer! read more

Beware of Orkin Pest control (west Palm Beach office) I had a salesman in my house pitching their plans and unbeknownst to me they ran a credit application without my knowledge or consent. I immediately received a notice from Equifax that my credit score went down three points. The salesmen are not to be trusted, they just want that sale! read more

We got in touch with the people at Orkin and their guarantee of "not happy until you're happy" was very much not upheld. Even with photographic evidence of gross negligence they denied all wrong doing. If you are going to opt for this more expensive option for an inferior service, make sure you don't sign the contract without considering their abysmal customer service and general neglect to the customers property. read more

Living in South Florida, with all the sun and rain, one would think that plants and lawns would grow well naturally. But, apparently, that would be a wrong assumption. There are always weeds, poorly growing plants, dry spots in the lawn, fungus, and insects that our gardener has not been unable to deal with. That's why I contacted Orkin for their lawn services. You can read on for the details, but to save some time, the bottom line is I've been very disappointed with Orkin, and would not recommend them. Over the past more than 6 months, their lawn treatments were simply not effective at all. They failed miserably. Here's what happened: After calling Orkin, they sent an estimator. He was very knowledgeable, was able to name all my plants, knew their sun/watering requirements, etc., and gave me a quote that was definitely higher than I would have preferred, but I agreed to it, hoping that Orkin's service would justify the cost. Next, a technician showed up to my home. He was also very knowledgeable, much more than my gardener, and spoke to me in detail (took a very long time) about a lawn treatment plan. He then did an initial treatment (expensive), and then would go on to a routine maintenance plan (also expensive). Well, all I can say, is that after more than 6 months, we're back to square one. We have the same dry areas, same weeds, same fungus, etc., as if nothing was done, even though I've seen the treatments take place. With all the knowledge, and very nice talk, the results were dismal. Pretty much non-existent. I could have save a tremendous amount of money not hiring them in the first place. In all fairness, when I called to complain, they were willing to scheduled additional treatments. But, honestly, when it comes to lawn treatments, I'd rather not need to deal with anything other than writing the check, and, most importantly I need results, which Orkin was NOT able to deliver. My advice: Save your money, try another company. read more

Horrible!!!! worst pest control ever! They have poor communication and all they want to do is charge me. They send people to the house to spray the outside so they can charge you, even when you ask them not to. I do not recommend this company!!!! read more

So, I originally wrote a terrible review on them. I am changing it because though the first service didn't work for 3 plus weeks, the bugs (ants) are now gone. The fellow may have come back after I had called to complain a week or so ago. Neither my wife nor I saw him. I was in business for 30 years and only had one bad review out of 40-50. They can be damaging so I rarely write one. The 4 stars is only because the deal I was originally told on the phone was 6 months at $58.00/per. When the guy got here it changed to a 0ne year deal at the same $58.00 with them coming out every other month. I had also called the cc company to get a refund but have since notified them to cancel that request. I would use them again. read more

My husband hired orkin a couple of months back because we found a large spider in my car and noticed spider sacks outside out front porch. The orkin representative wouldn't touch the car but we didn't realize this until after we were signed up. Every time they come the spider sacs and webs on the front part of my house seem to be worse. Last time I told them just do outside and get the spiders. It keeps getting worse and worse. Really not happy with them. read more

Their effort to kill our bee nest was haphazard and going on 3 days now not effective. I was told the hole was sealed, it isn't, and we still have bees swarming around our front door. They are still getting in our house and they are dying but not quick enough. Sure, they'll come back out and reapply their efforts. That's all fine and good IF they would return phone calls and actually come back out. Total waste of time and money, pick another company. Like others have stated we rent and don't have a choice but if you do choose another pest control company that actually cares about their work. read more

I have been a customer with ORKIN Pest & Termite Control since I purchased my home in 1997. Although they aren't the least expensive company in the South Florida I firmly believe in the mantra "You get what you pay for", which is why I stay with ORKIN as they consistently provide quality service and will return between scheduled services if you have any pest control issues inside or out. In addition, our pest control technician, Kenneth Jones is genuinely friendly, professional and does an impeccable job. Our termite control technician, Bart Iturrey who performs our yearly termite inspections is genuinely sincere, professional and does the job so thoroughly it clearly leaves you with a sound peace of mind. My one pet peeve has nothing to do with the service provided but the billing process. I previously used a bill pay service for my monthly payment which, if not scheduled the same day the bill arrived in my mailbox would always generate a late notice reminder being mailed to me from ORKIN. I called numerous times about this issue over the years but it was never resolved so I changed the manner in which I remit payments. read more

Orkin does a great job for us. I'm a long time customer and I have both Lawn and Pest control. Im not sure if this branch does the lawn care or the pc but the both do an excellent job. Orkin in Delray beach has proven to us that they are not worthy of our business. Trying to sell expensive services which are not needed. Is just a start. They failed miserably when they did our shrubs, nothing but bills and problems. We hired others and all shrubs are doing great now. Then recently they sent an unknown, (not our regular services person) salesperson employee to our home under the guise of checking for termites, which they knew we did not have (we have never ever had termites)and Orkin knows this. How? 3 yrs ago we purchased bedroom furntiure. 2yrs ago we discovered powder post beatles infected that furniture. Orkin said we had to fumigate the entire house to rid the problem at a $11000 cost plus 4 days in a motel. That fumigation they told us was 5 times stronger than that used for termites. Every unauthorized living thing,living in this house left during this process was dead afterwards. Of course all pets and people evacuated.if there were rodents up there, they 2 would be dead, but no proof is there. Yet they told my wife" it was the worst rodent infestation they ever saw....." when actually there were none, and tried to sell us a 9500 program to get rid of them.the contract was laughable. U didn't know exactly what they would do, but you had to pay 9500,to find out. Then they will probably want to sell you a 1000 dollar warranty yrly for that service.they love sending those bills. After calling a company specializing in rodent removal,at less than 1\2 the price, after 3 weeks with 5 traps in the attic, w daily checking of traps, there wasnt a single sign of a rodent. As a result I have terminated orkin. I have no trust in this companies Delray office. They refused to do anything but come to the house to investigate further. I do not trust them to allow them back into my home for any reason they could plant anything in that attic to create more trouble to defend themselves. Perhaps another office might function differently.All Buyers beware. read more

Significant issues. Our exterminator left and we were never notified. We then get invoices for services not rendered and receive a business card shoved in our door jamb by a different Orkin Exterminator. The unprofessional note asked if we wanted service and to call. Office staff not helpful in resolving the issues as they only wanted to collect money and Corporate response is non-existent. read more
